Ordered a dinosaur online for my sons birthday, with a scent and a pair of pyjamas for the Dino.
Dinosaur is cute, fluffy, soft and well made, the pyjamas are also very well made too.
The only thing is the scent, its meant to be lavender but smells very odd, not like real lavender at all, and I wish I'd left that part out of the order now.
Only took about 5 days for dispatch, then arrived in 2.
Will definitely order again.

The only reason they are getting 1* is down to the fact I have to rate them something. There call centre based out in the USA dealing with UK customers is appalling! If you don鈥檛 want to work for a company answering calls then find another job! Very rude agents who can鈥檛 be bothered to actually do there job! Not the experience I鈥檝e come to know of build a bear (shopping in store) with there friendly staff. The online part/customer service department is very dark and unhelpful! We鈥檒l build a bear you can stick your Beary Good day where the sun don鈥檛 shine as I won鈥檛 spend another penny with you again!

I've not been into a build a bear shop in ages but I have shopped on their website, I found it very easy to see what was available, such a vast selection to choose from and in handy categories too, as usual spent far too much but it is very good quality and makes a perfect present.

Took my child in their back on august 6th, half way through they decided to tell me cards only!!!!! I had to deal with a screaming autistic child because of these fools. Now they said they put vouchers on my account, still waiting as it's been 6 weeks.
I've spent 拢拢拢 in there but wont ever again!!!!!!
Ruined my childs day, make kids smile bs.

I鈥檝e ordered before online and said I would never again as I had to return the shoddy half filled bears with the sounds barely working. That was a pain and the US branch had to intervene. The second lot i received were just as bad but could not be bothered with the hassle as it was Christmas. Ordered a bear for my poorly niece and it has turned up with no house box they usually come with, foot dangling out of the cardboard box on arrival. Sound barely audible. Not as filled as they do in store. NEVER ordering online again. The stores are much better however they do ask the children if they want sounds and smells which all adds up. Ask the parents instead as they may not be able to afford it! Tried to complain online about the current order – error message telling it can鈥檛 be submitted at this time. Convenient!

So after reading these reviews I kinda wish I didn't order online. I ordered last Sunday 16.08.2020 It's now the 21.08.2020 and no bear has turned up. Anyway, the order has been shipped but they've not taken my money it's gone from pending to not being there at all. Now I feel like they might not have even shipped it because royal mail are still waiting to receive it. If they have cancelled then fair enough because I've not been charged but I'm annoyed that I used a 拢10 gift card which I know will have lost on that order. Anyone know what I should do next?

I wished I had seen these reviews before ordering from Build a Bear. I paid for next day delivery for my order and received notification that my order had been shipped and would be delivered on the 31st July 2020 by DPD. I am still waiting delivery of my order. DPD state they have received notification of the parcel but have yet to receive it. Customer Services call centre is closed and I have received no response to my emails. Build a Bear should not be accepting online orders if they are unable to fulfil them. This is appalling customer service. I have no order and am currently out of pocket.

Visited the Glasgow Buchanan Street store with my 2 year old granddaughter yesterday. Bought 2 dolls from the new Trolls collection. Felt really pressurised by the two men in the store to spend more money, bought one at 拢21 and got a 2nd for 拢8, them got two small inserts for voices which came to a total of 拢40 which I felt was ok but kept getting asked did I want a scent put in for an additional cost, did I want outfits or shoes or a carry backpack and at the checkout, still trying the pressure sale and then asked if I wanted to make a donation to a charity. Only went in to get a child鈥檚 doll for god sake.
These people must get paid commission by the way they went on. By the way, I鈥檓 all for the current rules on social distancing but asking a two year old to stand back from him whilst he filled/sewed up her new toys was a bit much. If you are so concerned for your safety from a small kid, put up a barrier instead of asking them to stand on a spot in a toy shop. Would not return to this store if they were giving the stuff away.

A disgraceful company. I ordered a bear with my voice recorded for my grandaughter in New Zealand who I haven't even had the chance to meet yet. I thought this would be lovely for her to hear her nana's voice when she played with the bear. It arrived with no voice recording at all but with a tag in it saying there was a 鈾?inside with a special wish. On the tag they had taken my words from the recording and made up there own written wording on the paper tag. When you try to get through to them they say office is shut and they are replying to emails.
I'm so mad about this that I'm going to contact trading standard.

Worst Company ever! I have been ignored for over 3 weeks now and am sick and tired of it! I had the certificate delivered printed upside down and all I wanted was a replacement! So simple you say? But nope it's not. I even rang a store in Maidstone to have them post me one but got told no. I have now written to their CEO and next step Trading Standards.

Just returned from queing to access Build a bear at the white rose centre leeds. Attended the centre to return a bear for repair was advised by customer services to take back to store for simple repair while you wait…. NOT Happened… told would after leave the bear for 3 days quarntine then come back to collect it …not an option to leave as my 2 year old grandson was screaming the shop down when tried to leave bear…. as NHS Frontline worker fully appretiate COVID Risk but thought it was ludicrous that the sales staff could touch the bear to quarintine it but not to stitch it yet you could pick a bear and hand it to staff to stuff n stitch. 1

I think I have given you all ample opportunities and have tried to settle this, I'll have to go through a fraud claim with my bank if we can not find this package or you all fix it. I've called the shipping company several times and they do not have any record of you all wven ckntacting them about this order, much less file a claim as needed although I've sent several emails and contacted you directly through bab website. Waited in que forever to be able to order the custom the chold toy for our son.. order number W1584166. This never came in. Contacted build a bear multiple times finally told me to contact shipping company but I had already 3 times they said build a bear had to file the claim, build a bear head yet to do so and this is taking incredibly to long. All we wanted was our purchased product if they cannot do that then refund us so we can buy something else instead. Sent email from shipping company stating sender has to file claim twice already. They arw closed down on their lines so can noy get ahold of anyone there and have send elseveral emails and just see no interest in handling it at all. Very disappointed and have a child waiting for something we put a lot of effort and time in ordering. Very disheartening for them as well. This could and should have been taken care of rhe first email I sent instead of me having to keep escalating to the point of filing further complaints. Order number W1584166

I had a minor issue with a product I purchased. The customer service I received was incredibly helpful, immediately rectified my issue and was genuinely apologetic.
Good customer service goes a long way – I will definitely keep coming back to companies who respect their customers

Have tried for month to buy the snoopy and Woodstock teddy but something is always wrong. Either the adresse or the payment method. The order just doesn't seem to go trough.

Poor service!!! Orderd a bear for my nieces 1st birthday. Got delivered, when taking it from the box there was a white sticker on the foot when I removed it, it was covering a hole which hadn't been sewn up!! I've been emailing for over a week now with no response and phone lines are just closed!!! Very poor service wouldnt shop again with them!!

I ordered a bear with a voice recording. The voice recording cost 拢5 and I assumed you would send it to us to record. However instead they give you a number and ask you to record your message on the phone. I finally managed to get my 2 year old to record a 20 second message…..But when the bear arrived it had been cut to about 5 seconds and it sounded absolutely nothing like my little boy. I wish they had explained the process before buying it as I absolutely would not have wasted my money. Now the special gift to his nan is a disaster

Very swift delivery. Ordered on Sunday afternoon. Received on Tuesday 2pm. All the reviews worried me before making order but my frd assured me she never had any issue. i am glad i listened to her.
Will order further more in future.

Placed an order 20th May and received email 26th May to say item had been shipped. Clicked on royal mail tracking and two days later now (28th May) royal mail have still not received the item so they have clearly not shipped it! I get nowhere with customer emails. This is a gift for my daughters birthday which she clearly won't get in time! Delivery says 5-7 days and this has passed. Just want my order! Don't take money if you can't fulfil orders. You should be ashamed of yourself. EVERYBODY AVOID!!! I WILL NOT BE BUYING OFF THESE AGAIN.

I order the new Child, and paid through pay pal. Money has come out of my account and they gave me a item number and everything. I then went online a few days later and clicked track order, it said no order available with this number. I then logged into my account and it says again no order available.
No emails or anything and my money has been taken out of my account! FUMING.
I then email them about it and they reply with an automated response like "the child will be available spring 2020 sign up to emails to receive this news" something like that, NO i want what i have payed for!

I have used Buildabear online shop twice before with no problem. Unfortunately the order I made on April 14th has not been delivered. I had an email on April 22nd to say my order had been dispatched. Following tracking Royal Mail did not receive this parcel and eventually saying tracking number not recognised. Contacted Buildabear, auto response email 1 – contacted again auto response email 2 – auto response 3 told me to track on their website, this I did and the response was they didn鈥檛 recognise my order or tracking no ! My account clearly showed the order number and tracking number. Another auto response said will be delivered soon. Have tried ringing customer service no one answers. What more can I do to get this order delivered to my granddaughter.

Tahiya in Build A Bear Hull was absolutely amazing yesterday with my son. She went absolutely above and beyond to add to my son's excitement about his Pokemon bears and she was so bouncy, bubbly and lovely. She clearly puts alot of thought, time and effort into her time with the kids and It was so lovely to watch someone be so involved and hands on with my son. 10/10 for Tahiya's service. Thankyou.
