tricky web site what they promise and what they show in the web site in the end is not manteined…..in the spot cheap prices and best prices of the day.. but after few minutes you understand that they are tricky and foxy !!!

I recently booked a flight for 4 people from New York to Miami costing around 拢95 per ticket. When I got my booking through to email, I immediately noticed that the date was incorrect. As this was at 10.30pm on a Sunday night, the offices at Budgetair were closed so I was forced to wait until the next morning to contact them. I sent an email in the interim and rang them as soon as their offices were open. I was left on hold for so long that I had to abandon the call and try again on my lunch hour. After being on hold for another 25 minutes I finally got through to speak to someone. The operative was unsympathetic and sounded exasperated. I hoped that as I had made the booking less than 24 hours before and US Airways do not charge for cancellation or amendment within 24 hours of booking it would not be too much of a problem. I was informed that I would have to pay 拢132 plus Budgetair鈥檚 admin fee PER TICKET! The woman on the other end of the phone said that it was US Air that were charging the fee and not Budgetair and that the tickets were 100% NON REFUNDABLE!

My current situation is that I can pay 1 and half times more that the tickets themselves to change the date or lose my 拢400 completely and buy new tickets.

I am absolutely disgusted at the customer service and policies of this 鈥楾ravel Agent鈥? I am a returning customer of Skyscanner and as they call this their agent, I booked through instead of the airline itself. The tickets were not profoundly cheaper, they were just the first on the list so I cannot see ANY benefit to the customer by booking with Budgetair.

I cannot understand how any company can risk losing forward business in the current trading environment. I will NEVER use this company again and would very strongly advise people to avoid at all costs. I have sent two emails to the customer service asking for a breakdown of cost for changing the booking. They 鈥榚ndeavour to respnd to emails within 48 hours鈥? The last one was sent 10 days ago and I have not had a response.

Shame on you Budgetair. I may have made an error on the booking page but I would not have any confidence that they would be understanding or cooperative if you had to amend your travel in an emergency. In no other industry would you hand over money and be told that you cannot have it back under any circumstances.
