Budgetair

If the option to give Budgetair no stars was available I would have chosen it. I booked flights in October and received an email to say the airline had to change our flights and if this didn't suit we could have a full refund. I opted for the full refund option on December 11, 2019. It is now exactly 2 months later and I have not received any of my money back.
Originally I was told I would have a refund within 60 days, I said this was unacceptable as I had to book other flights. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I would receive a refund within 10 days which never happened. I was told December 24th I would have my refund by December 31st, 2019. When that didn't happen I called again and was told I would have it by January 17th, 2020. I called again on January 17th, 2020 and was told more lies that I would have it in 10 days. It's now February 11, 2020 and Budgetair still have my money and to top it all off I was told that I was speaking to someone in India and there was no possible way I could speak to someone in Canada where I was calling from. My booking number is BCA-2598789 if anyone from Budgetair wishes to get in contact and tell me where my money is!!

Would not even gift it the one star.
Booked a flight to Hiroshima, when receiving the booking confirmation noticed that it was about a month later than the dates we had been looking at, not quite sure how that happened, budget air??

Made the booking on the Friday, went to cancel immediately and requested a cancellation quote, they quickly got back to me and told me that if I cancelled the flight on the same day I would still have to pay the admin fee of 拢55 per ticket but would be able to avoid the airline charge, which I read was 拢100 per ticket.

Was very happy with this so I tried calling them, no body picked up. I was on hold for at least 4 hours that day, I called all the way until their office hours shut (which was about 3/4 hours after the booking was made) and after that I called their out of hours number, which cost me a lot of money as it wasn鈥檛 a uk number, still no answer. During this time I had emailed them back to say I couldn鈥檛 get through to anybody, they had time to email me back saying they were busy but no time to pick up the phone?? Was very annoying that they couldn鈥檛 even tell you what place you were in the queue to get through, which makes me feel as though there probably wasn鈥檛 a queue, they were just avoiding the call to dodge the payments.

Tried calling all weekend, finally got through to them first thing Monday morning, they then told me that I would need to pay the airline fees and not only that but all of a sudden they were 拢175 per ticket, not 拢100? I feel that as the company are the ones that stopped me being able to cancel my booking, they should pay the airline fees and I would like a refund of them, after all the payments they charged we only got 拢317 back out of 拢804. Couldn鈥檛 get any sense out of the woman on the end of the phone, was trying to air my complaints to her but she kept saying she didn鈥檛 know and that there was 鈥榥o option to not pay the airline fees鈥?

I emailed them a lengthy email explaining I want a refund for the airline fees as it鈥檚 their fault that I couldn鈥檛 cancel on the first day on Monday, loe and behold no response.

As I see they鈥檙e replying to some people on here, my booking reference is BUK-13768949 should you decide to actually respond to me. I won鈥檛 give in until I get the money you cost me back, and will take this further if necessary. Please, please, avoid booking with these people, not worth the time or the money.

Thanks X

Don't book from this company!
While booking I was given a ticket that could be changed/cancelled (for an acceptable fee), I paid extra for this service.

When I wanted to change the dates of my tickets, 14hours after booking, I was told I had to cancel my ticket, I would not get any money back, and I would have to pay for a new ticket.

Thieves.

If i could give them a zero i would too. Booked with them. Unfortunately made a mistake with my email. You cannot email or call them. After countless times trying and just hearing number not in use I have decided to just reverse my payment. This company absolutely stinks of fraud!! Do not use!!!!

If i could give budgetair zero stars i absolutely would. I booked my flights with them 6 months before I was due to travel, and a week before my trip home for christmas I went to the airline's page and noticed that my flight simply said "cancelled". There had been no communication from anyone about this to me, but apparently the airline had cancelled that particular flight. When i called the airline they informed me Budgetair would have to reissue a ticket as there were other flights on that day that i could take. They even gave me the flight numbers for Budgetair. When i called Budgetair, their phone lines were on hold forever, and when i finally got to speak to an advisor they told me there were no other possiblities and I would have to contact the airline. I went back and forth at least 5 times, and unfortunately each time i called Budgetair there was a different agent. They also do not seem to log their calls,so each time i had to re-explain the situation. I finally had to make a conference call between the airline and budgetair , which helped nothing as they couldnt agree on a position. After almost 4 hours of back and forth they finally told me they would issue a refund !!!! A week before christmas they wanted to issue me a refund for a ticket i had organised 6 months before!! I finally lost my temper and after much yelling they finally got me a flight for the day after i was originally meant to fly back (which meant I ended up missing 2 days of work as my subsequent plans were all pushed foward!!) It also meant that i had to pay for an extra day's accomodation. It was all just very frustrating, and needless to say i will NEVER use their services again. Their staff are rude and unhelpful, and although i'm grateful i eventually managed to fly back without extra cost, they caused me a lot of anxiety and stress for a full 6 hours over the phone with them. Not worth the savings honestly !!

Very bad experience: two tickets from Europe to America were refused boarding because the names were not correct, both tickets had a first name in the last name. When we were trying to solve the problem at the airport the airlines told us that the only way to correct the names was with the agency. When we tried to dial the urgency number indicated in budgetair ticket the number wasn't valid anymore. As we discovered a desperate hour later budgetair changed the number and we didn't have any trace about the change (Actually we only understood the number changed because we had another reservation made 1 month before which had the correct telephone number).

After having Budgetair speaking with Finnair and British airlines the solution given was to pay 1300 eur to correct the names of the ticket. With such unreasonable solution we ended up buying other tickets and ask for refund which is being denied by Budgetair.

We are sure that the names were correctly inserted in the form as I have 7 long names. It is mandatory for me to pay attention on where the first and last names are written otherwise most probably the internet form will not accept the long name. Is as well weird that my friend that has 3 names also got the name incorrect. We asked the company to investigate what it seems an IT error. The company sent some print screens showing that everything was fine with their systems, the strange thing is that as a customer in the website and in the ticket all the names are merged with a strange space between the first and last name. Most customers surely will not pay attention to the small space which seems made to cover up the error. As they claimed as well they informed every customer about the telephone number change we also asked the proof of the communication. Budgetair replied that was not possible to send the proof that a message was sent OR the template used which makes the situation even more dubious.

Be careful if you face the same situation and you file an European Union transport dispute as it's not applicable to on-line travel agencies. We still didn't give up on the case and we will still be following further with European consumer centres. In the mean time the company have somewhere a problem going on, don't risk your trip on them.

Horrid, horrid experience booking with their Belgian site! Due to circumstances out of my control I couldn't fly with the ticket i bought through their site. Their phone customer service is terrible, if you're in luck you'll get someone nice but most times you'll get a certain woman there whose incredibly rude and uncooperative. Worst customer care I've ever experienced, bar none.

In summary, if at all possible book with the airline directly not this site if there's any chance of your flight getting cancelled.

I have booked tickets from Brussels to Chennai, I got the confirmation mail, when I try to select the seats for my tickets in Etihad site it displayed as this ticket was booked through travel agent (budget air.be) only they can pick the seats and advice me to contact budget air, when I called them they the representative is telling that he cannot select seats and he is suggesting the traditional way (select seat during online check in ) before 24 hrs..
I did not expect such an answer, also the way in which the representative spoke was not pleasing..

Since December 14 I have tried to get a refund for the extra ticket I bought when my flight was cancelled without notice because of the strike in Brussels. I have written kind mails to Budget Air and I never got any anwer. I have called them by phone more times from Denmark and this has been very expensive – still no result. The people you talk with do not know or do anything and they give different explanations. They all promise that the problem will soon be resolved. But nothing happens – it is so frustrating. I also contacted Travellink who sold me the first ticket and they reacted very quickly and have confirmed that Budget Air has to refund my extra ticket which is an expensive Flex ticket from Brussels Air. I will never again buy tickets through Budget Air. Their behaviour is highly unprofessional an unethical.
