AVOID!!! It is the worst car rental companies I have ever rented a car from.
Dirty, used, and damage cars are rented.
Being in a hurry to get to an already scheduled meeting I accepted the dirtiness of the car, After driving a few kms the warning light 鈥渢riangle鈥?on the car鈥檚 dashboard signaled an error. I phoned the desk service of the rent-car-company and been advised to return the car back the next day. Without any problem I was provided with a substitute car. The car was taken back by the rent-car-company and the deposit payment was transferred to the substitute car. However, upon return of the substitute car, the Budget AT CAR, s.r.o. refused to refund the deposit payment even though first and second cars were signed back in. Despite the fact that the handover protocol for the substitute car was duly done (no problem). I claimed the deposit payment from the company verbally and then via email, nevertheless I was refused with an argument that the first car was damaged by me. No evidence was provided.
After engaging a lawyer, I received my deposit back. However, later on I received a claim for an amount about three times higher than the deposit one.
This company business model is to maintain their car park from the deposit payments or from some claims for damages that the client obviously did not do. Such behavior damages the reputation of the rent car services, of Prague, and make troubles to a lot of clients as we can find in reviews about Budget.
