Have used this store for 16 years since moving to W鈥檅oro. Since it鈥檚 become Budgens, the choice, the value, the customer service, everything has gone downhill. I won鈥檛 use this store unless it鈥檚 an emergency.

It's been my local shop for more than a decade, I was always aware that it was overpriced for no real improvement in quality but I made do for the convenience…. it's the customer service that really lets it down though.

Most recently, I was told by the head of staff that, even though I had a reciept and cctv footage to show that I'd payed for an item but not taken it (For the first time ever, I'd forgotton my tobacco in that totally separate place they make you collect it from).
They said this was because anyone could have taken it, that honestly baffled me as that's saying that literally anyone could walk in and steal something from behind the registers and they can't do anything about it or be held responsible.

I am blown away and astonished that they're happy to sell a long time loyal customer down the river, there have been other bad experiences but this was the final straw and has completely soured me on the brand.

If you're a budding shoplifter on the other hand, then apparently Budgens is the place to be so knock yourselves out!!

Budgens in Lymm are terrible. I ordered a magic bag only to discover there wasn鈥檛 one. I drove a long way From Sale with my young daughter At 7pm only to discover there wasn鈥檛 one. I have recently lost my job and this service is a life line to feeding my family even out of date fruit and veg is better than none. I spent money on petrol getting there and the server was so rude no apology no sympathy just a flat 鈥?there isn鈥檛 one take it up with the manager tomorrow 鈥? I was devastated. You should not subscribe to this service and offer the magic bags if they are not available. So upset.

Don鈥檛 go there! Chronic incompetence. Just travelled to collect a food package ordered through too good to go. Paid for it, travelled to get it, and was told 鈥渙h the manager forgot to cancel it鈥? Pathetic! If you are going to participate in these things, at least do it properly. I won鈥檛 be back and will be sure to share my experience further.

Budgens, Trowbridge Hackett place. Most unprofessional store I鈥檝e ever visited. Certain members of Staff are obnoxious and rude, their customer service skills are non existent. Check your receipts as I鈥檝e often been charged more than I should have as offers on the shelves don鈥檛 correspond to the tills. Today was the straw that broke the camels back and I will not be using this store ever again and will tell everyone I know to avoid it also.

I would鈥檝e given Budgens a 5* but when I was last at Budgens I witnessed a man threaten a younger male near the freezers with a notepad. I am surprised that no members of staff stopped this disturbance as the man looked violent.
I will continue to shop at Budgens, let鈥檚 just hope this doesn鈥檛 happen again.
Apart from the one bad incident I鈥檝e witnessed, Budgens sale a wide range of products at a decent price.

I am a regular customer at Budgens but on my most recent trip to Budgens in Box 2/04/2020.
I was horrified to see someone who works at Budgens on their day off threaten another customer! Telling him that he wanted to fight him and then pee on him once he had finished.
I know that this person works at Budgens in Box because i sometimes fuel up my car at night.
People like him has really put me off this shop and I hope that something gets sorted because no customer deserves to be threatened by anyone especially an employee! It looks awful on the company. The man even put his notepad in the customers face and everyone looked uncomfortable in the store.

I'm so impressed with Budgen in Walkern. Who are not only providing an invaluable service to,their village, but to the surrounding villages aswell. They havent put their prices up stupidly like some other shops and they have started a no-contact delivery service for the old and vunerable and people self isolating. They are doing such a kind thing for our little villages and we, as a family will remember the kindness they are showing in these uncertain times.

Went to Budgens today. Very happy to see they are 鈥渙bserving social distancing鈥?with areas marked out in store. However, when you get in the que, other customers rub past you and the staff are none the wiser. When you get to checkout, you are now shoulder to shoulder with the other customers. What a joke.

Today I received delivery of my online shopping only for the delivery driver to leave my entire order outside MY FLAT BUILDING not my door & he stated he was not allowed in the building. When I called to speak to someone regarding this I was shouted at in the rudest manner & told I should be grateful I even got my order. In all my years of shopping I have never heard such a ridiculous & rude response. Why advertise as delivery to the door when your food could be left outside a block of flats they may as well have left it at the end of my street.
False advertising & poor customer service skills by Akia as although I have a sick relative in hospital with covid-19 I should have to understand the stress he was under.
I was brought to tears by this rude imbecile & was told to shop else where, I will gladly & also will let as many people know too.

It is hard enough to find a supermarket that sells toilet paper but when you do and they want to charge you double the recommended price that is out of order. I told them I would rather use newspaper

To many times now, you always expect your local store to sell off the shelves in date food, so having bought a packet of crimbles cookies yesterday, 02 Dec, and fancied them with a cuppa tonight,03 Dec, looked at sell by date it was 21st Nov, not happy, Winchcombe stores in Gloustershire . To many times I've been caught out, No Trust, keep an eye out on the sell by dates .

I visited Lyndhurst and saw an ATM inside Budgens store. I went in to draw out 拢50 and got a withdrawal receipt but no cash. I complained to staff who said that "it often does that" but refused to hand over the 拢50. They said I should contact Yourcash Ltd who operate the ATM. A load of hassle. I assumed that as the ATM was sited inside the store it was operated by Budgens. I've never even heard of Yourcash Ltd and wouldn't dream of using an ATM operated by people I've never heard of. I sent Budgens a complaint via their website and haven't even received the courtesy of an acknowledgement. I won't be shopping at Budgens again and I would advise you to take extreme caution if you want to use their ATM. There's a proper Bank, Lloyds, a few doors away.

Bought one of their local sourced and made chicken and vegetable pie.
Need to re source or get them to put more chicken and veg in the pie as there was very little of both more stodgy pastry than filling.
Paying more doesn鈥檛 always give you more.

Rude and unhelpful staff! Nip in on my way to work to pick up a coffee etc, I stand at the till waiting to be told that the shop assistant needs to clear the Post Office Lady鈥檚 counter before she arrives at work, not that she鈥檚 now making me late for work! Erm, clear it when you鈥檝e no customers to serve!! They also have an offer on diet drinks for 2.20 for two and charge 2.78, only noticed today as I鈥檝e been trusting them, big mistake, made the staff member aware and they came up with a lame excuse and really wasn鈥檛 bothered that I鈥檝e been overpaying every day, not even a gesture to offer me a free bottle as I鈥檝e possibly paid for more than one over the last few weeks (considering I buy 2 every week day) shocking customer service from the Lymm store in Cheshire.

What can i say about my local Budgens. Very rude staff out of date edibles and also expensive. I try not to purchase much from here because of stated reasons I only use it out of convenience and to get my electric. If it had better staff i may reconsider.

They charged me a fixed price of 54p for an apple that should have cost 23p when sold by weight at the advertised price (0.115 kg at 拢1.99/kg).

I tried to buy an apple that was listed as 拢1.99/kg. The clerk did not weigh it but typed in a fixed price of 35p. When I said, You haven鈥檛 weighed it,鈥?he said to a colleague, 鈥楥an you serve this lady, please?鈥?and walked away. I explained the situation to his colleague, and he weighed it but then typed in another fixed price, this time 54p. I went to check my receipt against the price on the shelf, only to discover that they had not sold it by weight. When I queried it, he said that he would refund my money. He refunded me 拢1.30 for a 拢1.29 shop and said that he was giving me the extra penny for my time.

A large Budgens delivery lorry drove into our village, despite traffic weight restriction signs, and caused massive damage to the roadside verges. In some places the ruts were over a foot deep. The driver must have been aware of what he had done but drove away. Two separate emails from local residents were ignored by Budgens Customer Service department. The company obviously could not care less.

Went home to make my lunch after shopping at Budgens only to realise that the Mackerel that I had purchased was 5 days off. Being 8 months pregnant I decided to go back to tell them about the off food. No manager around to report it to as she was on holiday and the lady I spoke to about the situation just gave me my money back and didn't seem too concerned. Won't be shopping there again!

My local store is in Brockley Road, London. I have been shopping there at least once a week for at least six years. Although I like to support my local shops – if you don't use them, you lose them – it is not a budget option and I only use it for items I have run out of in between my weekly supermarket shop or cannot get in the other local 'corner' shops eg. cr猫me fraiche, Lindt dark chocolate – mmm! It has never been what I would call a friendly shopping experience, not for me anyway, but I liked the fact it is a small, local supermarket as opposed to a corner shop with just a limited selection of items. But I recently realised how much prices have crept up to extortionate proportions and just last week was gutted to have to throw out three items from one shopping trip because they were waterlogged (spring onions, spinach and a whole cucumber) no doubt from being frozen and then de-frosted, or the thermostat on the chill cabinet being incorrectly set. Won't go back there.
