New BT Mail is a disaster. It has forgotten my most commonly used email addresses, and when I type them in manually, it swaps them to user names, then won't allow me to send to them! It won't recognise a new heading in an email thread and keeps substituting an old one with hilarious results. It's forgotten what I've marked as spam, and spam emails are pouring into my account. One minute it will accept an email address, the next it is kicked out by Administration. Shambles, complete bloody shambles. I didn't volunteer for this and would give my right arm to be back on Yahoo.

BT, advised me contract coming to a close, no reply email, so could not discuss.

BT probably the worst Company in The UK for service.

Government should make it MANDATORY For UK based and UK Trading firms to have valid email address.

They do not want to engage, what a terrible Company, they have lost me, a great shame, once a great Company, now run by Bean-counters and Algobots, they deserve to perish as a Company

If I could give them zero I would. Their business policies are revealed in the fact they haven鈥檛 responded to reviews in 12 months! Do they care? NO, Do they want to help your situation? NO. Do they get paid for sitting on their backside and doing nothing YES YES YES! Why is this monopoly allowed to continue? Not even Ofcom can do anything, so what does that tell you? Corruption, misrepresent their products, inconvenience individuals by asking them to stay home and then subsequently after a long hard phone call, they had no intention of coming to our house to set up the fibre. Add to that lying, they said all outside work is completed, we are ready ARE YOU? In capital letters! The audacity of this company should be held accountable AND an investigation but hey they don鈥檛 care, they get paid for sitting on their backside. If we had another provider, we would go with them for our internet and fibre. Shysters. 鈥榃e are ready ARE YOU?鈥?Bloody cheeky and likely they have a good laugh at all these reviews when sent to their so called email address.
We had 8, yes EIGHT calls to sort it out, they just don鈥檛 give a jot, they want your money but they don鈥檛 want to do anything for it.

Appaling company with a stranglehold on services in my area.

Sick and tired of repeating myself on their live chat and never finding resolution.

For a telephone services provider not to be accessible via the telephone is a joke.

Roll on contract renewal.

OMG, unbelievable lack of competence. For three weeks running I was told that an engineer would call at our property to install Broadband Fiber. Each time, after travelling 2 hours to the property, with the appointments confirmed, nobody arrived. Please find an alternative supplier, they do not know what they are doing.

They must employ the cheapest people they can find. Continued charging me 3 months after I left, took 3 phone calls to resolve. Hours spent on hold.

My grandparents left and they claimed they were still in contract after being out of contract for 2 years and charged them 拢150 for leaving early. 5 calls, 2 official complaints and still not resolve as their accounts team think a debit of 拢150 less a credit of 拢110 some how makes your balance 拢0.
Will never ever use BT again

Extremely bad as when they cannot resolve a problem (and the problem is over 3 weeks old) the person with whom you have wasted a lot of time and effort to get hold of in the first place just hangs up because she wants you to check your mobile phone (which is NOT a BT line but our landline is) to check our computer ????? It is time that BT understood customers' frustrations and the fact that customers did NOT sign up to a "Lottery Service" but for a paid FAST BROADBAND SERVICE …….can you imagine if the customer did not pay what would happen to the customer. Time BT provided the service for which they are charging their customers or get advisers who CAN AND WILL RESOLVE THE ISSUES now encountered. We suspect BT has had a major security breach and customers are now paying the price of some sort of "half-baked" (in my opinion) resolution. BT get your act together and let us access our BT account and emails…..not rocket science but we are not in control BT ARE ….

Worked ok until they sent me the new router. The connection was not brilliant before this but never went down or re connected very quickly. Since I got the new "improved" router and promises of being connected to fibre, the connection has been unreliable, slower than it used to be. Not to mention, the price is no bargain! I am going to actively look for an alternative.

Bt internet not bad but i dont agree with these new 24 month contracts , and they tell damn lies, was told the 24 month contract was because people thought 18 months was not enough, then today im told another story about this, they were doing finbre 1 for 27.99, now its gone back up to 30 pound a month, they wont do it cheaper, so when my deal ends in june im leaving and going to a cheaper provider where i canget ip for about 21.99 a month, if u wont give a cheaper deal then im off bt.

Absolutely disgusting company. My father died a few days ago and had been in hospital for 7 weeks previous.
Tried cancelling the internet on Friday but no answer at all.
Today, I managed to cancel it but they insist it will take affect from today not the date of death of my father.
Money grabbing remorseless company.
Don't ever use them.

Phoned bt , about btsports package which is 拢12 , how are we to receive a credit, Oh no typical BT you have to cancel your contract and then request a refund , which means your breaking the terms of your contract., which probably invokes a fine. Give us a refund BT , until football is back. Why make it so difficult for customers, Sky have been very clear.

I have just had my contract renewed by a lovely man called Rob in Loyality Dept who explained everything to me and was very helpful and patient and I have come away a very happy customer! Thank you so much for a great service after initially being fobbed off and put on hold again by the first person I spoke to! Rob is a credit to your company!

All I can do for everyone is tell them what I know for sure. There is a company called Astute, BT contract this company to act on behalf of them by generating appointments for BT sales guys to visit various organisations and sell their product. During the time I worked there I noticed untold amounts of data protection breaches where private details for different organisations was mishandled, lost and even allowed to be let out of the building so that colleagues could work from home on their PRIVATE computers. Astute were also fine with other colleagues taking pictures of details on their phones to save them from remembering stuff when speaking with another person. This is only a few things out of so many wrongs. I can go on all day. Now that we have been hit with the coronavirus in the UK, Astute are allowing colleagues to take all the private/sensitive details of customers home with them whrre there is no security in place to ensure data is handled correctly. Trust me stay away from BT and astute if you ever hear their name.

Have always been with BT for over 10 years and they do not appreciate loyalty and have the cheek to increase prices every few months. Customer Service is dreadful and full of empty promises, basically if you are not buying anything extra they are not interested.

Buyer beware they may entice you with a cheap starting rate and then sting you later on. BT know most of their customers wont call to renew or argue about prices because as soon as you think British Telecom you remember how hard it was to get through to someone or for someone to understand you rather then pitch additional services.

Moved to Zen Internet recently and have had non stop Joy they are bit more pricey but offer a much better service as well as customer aftercare.

Sadly have to give 1 star in order to write this review but trust me they don鈥檛 even deserve 1.
So I鈥檓 currently paying 拢120 a month for what ?
I got a call from BT last week saying I needed to arrange for an engineer to call as they were not providing me with an adequate service. The speeds we getting were lower than had been sold and what I was paying for ( mis selling)
The engineer arrived on arranged day but could not repair the fault and the work ran into a second day. So two days I鈥檓 in the house waiting for the engineer to come and go as required. He informed me that my speeds had been very low for some months now and I had not been getting the service I had been paying for.
I pay 拢58 a month for my broad band and phone line ( phone never used as in most peoples homes these days ) I also pay a ridiculous amount for a less than adequate TV package.
Ike I say 拢120 a month in total.
Rang to cancel as Iv had enough, surprised ( not) that BT say I can鈥檛 cancel without penalties until July this year. It seems it鈥檚 OK for BT not to provide what they sold and charge me for but I can鈥檛 cancel without penalties.
Been on the phone for over 2 hours in total today ringing different departments at BT been offered 拢20 ( increased from 拢10 on my initial refusal) compensation.
WOW The ignorance of it all.
CANT WAIT TO CANCEL – NEVER TO REtURN.
Disgraceful customer service and disgraceful high prices for sham services

Not able to give 0 stars or I would …I have an bt email address as I used to be with BT a long long time ago and just kept the email address…I have recently had my e mail suspended by BT.I have answered some personal questions that I have answwred but told they are incorrect so need to phone BT ..I have tried for three weeks. I have been put on hold for 10 or 15 mins at a time and then got fed up .Tonight I decided to stay the course 40 mins to be exact …I got answered, a lady asked what my contact number was I gave her my mobile number and the line went down …I then tried again another 35 minutes then I was informed of the hours of business …Surely no business can be this busy constantly and if they are they should consider extra staff …This is a ridiculous situation I am not able to contact the company and I am without e mail …If I was ever considering changing my provider this would be the past company ever

BT are a terrible provider, I agree with all that has been written before. Three calls to report slow broadband speed and all I got were excuses mainly that it was something in my home interfering with the wireless signal. I finally decided to do BT,s own speed test and had it in front of me when I called the third time. When I mentioned the results of their test, the chap said yes he could see the problem (that apparently others customer service people hadn't been able to see) and said it needed and engineer to visit, the earliest that could be was in two weeks time! so mean while I am logging a daily speed test with the BT speed test and saving a copy to file to aid my claim for loss of guaranteed service but I'm not holding my breath. I would change provider but no other provider can deliver FTTP as I'm halfway up a mountain in South Wales, so I await 5G coverage in the area.

I have been a Bt customer for over 30 years if not more like many,i have phone line and broadband and its at the email section of the company i have massive issues with.My wifes email account has had a security issue so should be easy just pop in the account and change the details and password ..Well no there system refused to allow this said i need to call Bt ,okay so i rang a nice lady has tried to help me for nearly 45 minutes to do one simple thing reset a Password .Again no matter what we tried just refused even using Google as well as Firefox browsers. She then told me she needs to pass the issues onto a special team who cant be reached by phone for them to resolve the issues ..And the worst news can take from 24 hours to 72 hours so wife cant send email or recieve any at all on this account till its sorted. Its not bad its disgusting why am i paying so much money for a service they can not deliver or fix a issue like a new password reset in a matter of hours ..I am so annoyed specially when told by them this email is not linked to the bt account very strange as its been my wifes email for the last few years on a daily basis until today ..

Do NOT SIGN UP. Internet constantly cuts out and all the advice you get is to turn it off and on again. When you finally get the foreign call centre who struggle to understand English to agree to send an engineer round, they don't show up! Once my contract is up I'm leaving
