Bristol Street Motors

Overall I was happy with a two year old Ford at a decent price and in good condition. They had a good range and it was exactly what we were after. Now, a month or so on, we are very pleased with the purchase and how straight-forward it was. The sales personnel were cordial and part-exchange was generous. A new and conventional spare wheel was not part of the original deal, but they provided one when they saw our mild displeasure. I think we were a bit underwhelmed by the'Diamond Brite' paintwork treatment we agreed to. Can't say there was noticeable evidence of it. One has to take these things on trust, I suppose. Yes, I would buy again from Bristol Street Motors.

Once you buy they dont want to know you and all they do is lie to you to get you to buy a car then lie again when you complain.

I would just like to say how well i was treated at Bristol street motors Chatsworth rd chesterfield ,taking my car to have the clutch mended only to find that my warranty company declined to pay because my service history was late. I would like to thank Brooke Saunders and team at Vauxhall chesterfield for their very hard work in getting it fixed through Vauxhall.

Bought a new car from Jamie 4 weeks ago. The experience was absolutely great, straight forward and smooth and the new Renault Captur has exceeded my expectations. Thanks Jamie and Renault.

Worst experience I had when buying a car. The car was filthy on the inside. It had been scratched and Bristol Street think touch-up stick repairs and polish are acceptable – a first year apprentice spray painter could do a better job. No aftersales support. The company is an absolute joke. They don鈥檛 deserve one star. I will never use this company or buy a Vauxhall's again after this experience.

I had my front brakes replaced on a Ford Fiesta in BSM Bromley after just 14,000 miles. They had warped. (Not under warranty, of course – it was "the way I drove"). Afterwards they made a horrible grinding noise. "It will go away". A year later they were still making the noise, so I asked BSM Cheltenham to check them whilst doing a service. "They had been fitted incorrectly". Again, I had to pay because BSM Bromley "have nothing to do" with BSM Cheltenham.

Had to return to the dealership because they had not stamped the service book. They were incredibly rude. The brake noise started again so I took the car to a small independent garage. They said the brakes had been fitted incorrectly and the wrong sort of grease had been applied. The brakes worked fine from then on. I have now just had the car serviced again and the garage noticed the engine cover was missing! Could only have been BSM Cheltenham, Again. Do yourself a favour and avoid this company at all costs.

Well, I could go mad and slate Bristol Street Motors – Bristol Hyundai for what was an almighty cock-up regarding my new car purchase and say what an awful, unprofessional, and downright disaster this dealership is. However, I only think it fair of me to provide a balanced overview of my recent experience.
Yes, they did manage to order me the wrong car, yes they failed to tell me this with less than 24 hours before collection, yes they did keep me waiting on previous occasions, even having arranged appointments. Yes, I was made to feel insignificant in the scheme of things, but all this aside, they did make an effort to resolve the issues, albeit a bit on the late side, and I finally left with a car I am happy with. Let this be a lesson to them, though that not all customers would have been so understanding in the circumstances. We have all had to adapt to recent events, but there is no excuse for poor customer service.
On the day of collection, both Thomas and Eamon were very accomodating, allowing me the time to read through the literature, check the car over meticulously and answer any questions I had. I commend them for remaining so patient with me during what could have been a tense time. I was annoyed by the previous day's revelations, but they dealt with me in a lovely way. I left with the car feeling happy and reassured that I could rely on them if I required assistance in the future.

This wasn't the easiest of new car purchases, I will admit, and Bristol Street Motors – Bristol Hyundai could have done a lot better overall, but despite the bumps along the way, I feel they came good in the end.

AVOID!!!!!bought car on motability x had problems resulting in RAC finding 85 faults! Took to Bristol st at Chesterfield x they refused to look at it but booked it in for week after. Took it down on date specified to be informed it was not booked in for that date so had to wait another week. When car was fixed ( apparantly they said it only needed a fuse replacing for all faults found which I found hard to believe x questioned if this was the case why did it take them 2 weeks) They refused to drop it off for me which was a 5 minute journey from dealership to my home x even asked what disability I had that prevented me from collecting it!!. This left me without transport over bank holiday weekend. Extremely poor x rude customer service! Once they have your money they really dont care. Formal complaint made x motability agree this is poor service so agreed I can terminate the agreement x look elsewhere.. Please Avoid this company especially if you are looking for a motability car as they can not be trusted.

Very poor customer services, I purchased a van and after 3 months the van stopped working on me, I still had warranty on the van, since March 2020 till today the van is at Chingford dealers with no diagnostic of what is really wrong with it, I am still paying Blue Motors finance every month for a van that is parked at Vauxhall Chingford. Nick Locke the manager offered to buy my van for 拢6995, when I purchased it for much more. They are very arrogant and ignorant towards their customers, I am still in dispute with them and lord knows when I will come to an end with this dispute. Think very carefully before purchasing any vehicle from them. I wish I never step foot into their showroom.

Avoid, Bought 2 cars Ford focus and a Mustang., shown around 1 car and when car delivered was a different model, Said they would get correct model, then told cant do that but took a month to collect the vehicle, No replies to emails, delay tactics to avoid refunding money, wouldn't sent details requested to proceed with a S.A.R or complaints procedure, Told no Mustangs in stock so bought a ex demo, day after collecting found they had a brand new one in stock and was in their compound, They lie to sell the car they want you to have not the car you really want.

Georgie at Gloucester was exceptional and couldn鈥檛 have done any more for us. We came in on a Tuesday to discuss our options and trading in a non Renault and were back to collect brand new car on the Saturday. I would highly recommend the Gloucester dealership and wouldn鈥檛 hesitate to go back. The staff are friendly and welcoming and take a genuine interest in you and know what they are talking about when matching you to a car. Thank you so much Georgie you are an asset to the brand

I would never buy another car from this company I believe that the salesman are taught to tell lies and when you complain they brush it under the carpet using more lies to justify their actions.

Whilst the service was carried out satisfactorily, what a performance in trying to pay…
No longer accept cash … ok not the end of the world.. card payments are ok, don鈥檛 accept AMEX …
if you restrict payment methods at least let customers know when they book ..
it鈥檚 ok to have a huge sign saying no cash payments but at least have the foresight to let customers know card payments are only are accepted but you don鈥檛 accept AMEX …
and the attitude of your guy on the service desk was simply to shrug his shoulders and couldn鈥檛 care less..

Placed a deposit on a car on Friday 17th for a car that didn't exist. I was advised that i'd be contacted by BSM but this never happened, when i called the dealership on Monday 20th told that the car never existed and that i'd have to contact the marketing department. After a couple of calls and emails i was promised a refund, this took until the 28th to go back into my account.

i bought a brand new 19 reg transit connect from Bristol st motors in Bolton, not long after i discovered a water leak and wind noise at motorway speed, returned it to the garage and was basically fobbed off, as no faults could be found, but it was low on oil, which they tried to charge me 拢20 for???, after the dismal performance at bolton, i decided to take it to the wigan branch instead, that was a bigger mistake, they found and rectified the original issues, fixed the leak and fitted a new floor lining, on picking up the van i discovered that none of the interior lights worked, and had to make a return trip for that, but in doing the repair work they left the interior of the van in such a bad state i had to get it valeted, branch staff not bothered in the slightest, after having the van back for 3 weeks, the heater matrix behind the dash burst? and leaked engine coolant into the cab ruining the floor lining and mats, so back to garage again, despite the fact i was due back in work after furlough and needed a vehicle, again they were not that bothered, eventually i got a hire van to keep me moving, on the day i picked up my van it was pouring down with rain so had little chance to check over everything, the following day, when i checked out the van dirty marks over both front seats, debris and and finger marks all over the dash board, where they'd refitted trims, nothing had been cleaned, dirty marks and grease all over every door seal and lower panel, a scratched passenger door panel, plucked vinyl on the top dash board, and to cap it all the floor mats that had been soaked with coolant had just been chucked in the back to contaminated the lining in the back of the van, brilliant, i do not recommend Bristol st ford wigan ,there quality control is non existent

We recently visited Nissan at Widnes and bought a Nissan Quashqui. The salesman Paul Noone was extremely polite and helpful, no heavy pressure selling. From the initial visit to the conclusion of the deal was excellent. We highly reccomend him to other potential customers.
Thanks again Paul,

Sold me a vehicle with warning lights on they told me they couldn't turn them off and talk it to an official Renault dealer and it will be covered under warrenty which I did to be told I'd have to pay 拢89 diagnostic charge as the warning light was because some had changed both back wheels and the tyre pressure sensors were incorrect for this vehicle from the ones it had when produced so the technician updated the car computer so they matched so either Bristol street motors changed them and didn't update the car computer or they purchased the car with the warning lights lite either way they shouldn't have sold this vehicle the way it was, I had to wait months due to covid-19 to talk to anyway one but even then I got passed from puller to post and constant phone calls and emails to get this money back after 3 weeks still no money they took my bank details to reimburse me but still nothing won't ever buy a car from them again and the car had damage to the panoramic sunroof I wasn't informed about there not interested in after sales survive at all only your money

Brought a new car from Bristol Street motors Chesterfield, was missing the service book so contacted them, they said they would order one and post it out, I never received it or the other 2, they claimed they sent, wouldn't trust them to put air in my tyres, let alone service my car, save yourself the stress and go elsewhere

I recently had my vehicle serviced at eastern avenue vauxhall Bristol street motors under vertu motor whom I have had done since I bought my insignia brand new from them and rigidly had their services every year to keep vauxhall life time warranty going my car passed mot with a independent garage a reputable one as it was a inconvenience to me to get done at Bristol street due to their refusal to collect my car due to coronavirus ( which they declined every year anyway )I mentioned when my service was due I was looking for a newer car so they got me appointment with salesman.
After their health video of my car the salesman said they couldn't offer even 拢1000 for a five year old insignia 43 k on clock bodywork immaculate but their health check came up with it was due brake fluid change a bit of oil mist by power steering and a cracking in cover on a shock absorber cover which doesn't constitute a fail on they're records they said some belt changes were due which I believe are normally at 60k mileage so Bristol street said it was only worthless 拢1000 in p/x .
They obviously work handing glove with services department to rip people off .
I sold the car next day to a reputable car buyer they offered 拢5,225 after commission I received 拢 4,800 a bit different to less than 拢1000 off Bristol street in p/x .
In my experience give this dealership and services a wide berth

I've used Bristol Street Motors/Vertu motors a few times over the years and have always been happy with them but not this time and I will not be using them again.

I had a car to trade in with them with existing finance on it and despite numerous requests I could not get the part exchange value from them.

I then got the finance quote back and they asked for a further 拢2000 to secure the deal at which point I walked away.

On checking the finance quote they had only given 拢3500 for my car when luckily I had been on Webuyanycar (who give rock bottom prices) and it was worth 拢5000 as minimum.

This is disgraceful and is tantamount to fraud as they wouldn't give me the figure and to try and hide it in the finance deal hoping I wouldn't notice. I have made the financial ombudsman aware of this.

Oh and they also did a hard credit search without asking my permission as well.

Some people who read this will just think I'm bitter as I didn't get what I wanted, I'm really not I just don't want a company like this ripping off anyone else.

I have complained to Bristol Street but I am yet to receive a response, just avoid them if possible!
