My wife and I live 90 minutes away in McKinney. She finds on FB marketplace a post from a rep named Curtis offering two 2001 Yamaha waverunners for a combined $5,000-one red and one gray. She reaches out and asks if they would accept $4,000 and Curtis agrees.
At the same time I call their store and a Chris tells me they are not available but 2 black and white ones are. They are both listed at $1,500 each ($3K combined) but look in worse shape.
I tell this to my wife, she messages Curtis stating we were told they are gone, he replies no we have them; she even screenshots a pic of them to get confirmation. We also agree to a new $1,800 trailer and with TT&L everything will be just over $6,200. He tells us when we get there to ask for Josh.
So we drive the 90 minutes ask for Josh-first thing he tells us is the trailer is not the normal, it's an alloy type missing the fenders-but still charging full price. Then, lo and behold-he shows us the two black and white ones.
My wife begins to show him the pics of the ones we were confirmed were there, the total cost, etc. He tells us Curtis unfortunately doesn't pay attention to what is posted online and then somehow tries to proceed and explain the price increase from what is online. Total bait and switch. We're not happy-he goes to speak with his finance manger.
When he comes back he asks what can we do to make this right? We tell him we see a red 2008 SeaDoo listed at $4K on the lot. We will offer $4K for the waverunner and trailer, plus TT&L-never mind they have already lied to us, tried to sell us a lesser trailer, lesser skis and up sell the price of those even.
He comes back and says unfortunately the best he can do is around $6K-the full price. So, we say there is nothing left for us to talk about, we leave and now it's time for us to post these reviews all over social media and file a BBB complaint.
