I have been sending passport photos for weeks, as requested, clear, sharp, perfect photos, and I keep coming back to the same message "we couldn't verify your identity".
I have sent several requests by email, the answers are all automated.
Yesterday, I spent hours, once again, downloading an application to connect a smartphone webcam to a pc, because the webcam on my computer doesn't work anymore, and repeating the same gestures over and over again, selfie with paper held at arm's length, and photos of the ID. Finally it succeeded! It's the first time since my computer's webcam is down that I still manage to send the damn selfie. And frankly I have other things to do with my time, especially with sick people of my family around !
Anyway, I was so happy to have succeeded yesterday. Well this morning, guess what ? Message from coinbase, we couldn't verify your identity, please post, etc ! So I'm sending again, but this time as a file upload, a picture of my passport, perfect again, to complete my selfie. And here they are again, we couldn't verify, etc, etc.
It's infernal. Coinbase isn't the last to take monstrous charges, which have nothing to do with what they advertise. It's a far, far cry from the small percentage they advertise when you do an operation. I have had, once, literally 15 euros go missing between the transaction recorded on my account and the fiat amount that arrived on my bank account and it was NOT the bank.
Go to another platform, unless you want this site to make your life as a crypto investor a living hell! Outrageous !
