This is a review for the comfort hotel Great Yarmouth ! Absolute shambles ! Nothing but liars !
I checked in as I found myself in Great Yarmouth saying goodbye to my grandad as he had died earlier that day
They knew this
They were quick to take my money then give me my key
Seemed really polite so I was happy
That was then short lived !
I got into the room noticed the radiator was off and windows open
It was a very windy day and also a raining
The room was freezing so I shut the window and turned the radiator on
An hour later I was still freezing so went to reception to ask if there was a problem or was it me
The lady acted like it was a new problem and in her words needed to make some calls
Another hour passes I go back but go out the front 1st for a vape and speak to 2 lots of guests about my cold room they stated that they had been there for 2 days and it鈥檚 been broken all the time they have been there ! And one couple said it took 6 hours for them to receive a heater they promised
So I go back in to ask and mention what I was told for the lady not to deny it but says she will get a heater to me that heater never arrived
I lay in bed crying and unable to sleep most of the night due to being so cold even with the quilt on
Then comes the morning ! I decide to have a bath takes me ages to get up as I was so cold and could barely move ! I ran the bath and thought great the waters hot that鈥檚 something at least ! To then notice a dead flea floating in my bath water ! I got a pic immediately for proof and you could see it was a flea !
Then I noticed how green and dirty around the bath was and dirty tissue was stuffed behind the toilet too then there was the filthy sink I got pics of everything and sent a kind email to the manager after being told the manager wasn鈥檛 in till Monday for complaints and refunds
I had a reply stating that the flea in the pic didn鈥檛 look like one and apparently they had pest control out straight away to check the room and found nothing (yet they couldn鈥檛 get a heater to me at all during my stay like they promised ) also said if I would have asked for a refund she would of issued an immediate refund (impossible if paid by card like I did ) and would of personally booked me a room at a different hotel ! Well that鈥檚 funny I got told manager wasn鈥檛 there till Monday so lie number 1!
She failed to mention the other complaints I made
Then had the cheek to offer me money off another stay there and free upgrade ! Like hell would I stay there again
They knew why I was there and as much as I鈥檓 not entitled the customer care was shocking they couldn鈥檛 give a hoot at all!
And because I refused her offer she said she said that she would no longer communicate with me ! So!! I took it online and opened a case got a response from someone else and she stated she would look into it then here come the lies again
She said all they said and I had already told them what they told me and that they were lies but she sided with them anyway
Then acted like she was doing me a favour by offering 6000 club points for a stay at one of their hotels around the world !! Errrm no all I want is a full refund for the awful experience I am still not over ! She then stated they are unable to do refunds currently due to Covid and that department being shut?? LIES! because when I stated that it was ok I would wait for a refund she had the cheek to say that she is not willing to offer me a refund and all I could have was points !! That is no way to treat a customer and a grieving one at that utter disgrace !

This place is very inconsistent. They dont even try to accommodate its guests, the rooms are always dirty and managers nit picky.

Stayed at Roadway Inn and they charged us a for a mini fridge and a microwave 35 dollars a week and stole that money it was suppose t be a hold they made us pay 450 dollars in deposits and stole it saying the we're taking our deposit for walking our dogs with out a leash and after my girlfriend asked about it, lady at desk said you can leave tonight anymore trouble out of you dumb (bi-ch). And we. We're using that money to get apartment. We had to sleep in our car and did t eat for 2 days because of this. And the company tells us tuff. And laughs at us when we called them. And we never received a single reward points after staying with them for 2 months. Choice hotel is racist and hate black people is what I figure. And why all the hate. I thought we were in this together. What a lie. In america it's take and steal and try to justify it well I will be posting this everyday tell I get some justification and I will post this on Facebook and any form I can over and over tell they fix this. I want my money and wont stop tell I get it.

Stayed at Rodeway Inn, East Division, Arlington Texas. Didn't have much sleep as train horns blasted all through the night, neither windows nor doors are soundproof despite being next to a busy cargo trains hub. I asked to change to a back room for second night and the price was hiked, that a change of room attracts extra $20 as per Choice Hotel policy-slashed to $10 after protest, room price increased too. New room was less prone to train noise but gosh, sperm on bedsheets of one of the two beds in the room! I will post pictures on Google reviews. Extremely bad management and customer service, zero stars, Pilot trust gifted them the one star in this review.

Made reservations here for sept 4 & 5…. was room 205. When we walked in I knew something was wrong the beds were made carelessly made the top cover was stained with what looked like dried blood. Had cigarette burns on the Ratty blanket they had on bed. There was no way the carpet could have been vacuumed, it had white spots all over it you could take your shoe and rub it out. We were gonna try make the best of it and we happened upon a bag if needles in the desk. Needless to say we went to the front desk and no one would go look at the room and check it out. Unfortunately because we booked through Priceline they won鈥檛 even consider refunding my money. So needless to say your name and that motel is a joke. I went to Clarion Inn in Merrillville, Indiana and I have to say very bad service. My sister, mother and cousin had a room there and my sister's room it had hair in the sheets. My mom's room was the most decent except her towels had stains on them. My cousin's room was the worst of all, they put her in a room and on the inside the door handle fell off and the guy at the front desk ignored her when she was trying to tell him about it so I said loud and clear to my cousin call corporate and tell them Vincent doesn't want to help you and then he gave her another room. The second room they gave her had a McDonald's bag under the bed and a chip bag on the side of the other bed, the tub had black marks in it and who knows how long the toilet hasn't been cleaned cuz it was also a black ring in it I'm not even going to go into the spider webs on the ceiling. We asked for more towels and they also had stains all in the towels. That hotel is making money for them not to buy new towels. I would never again stay there in my life. They really has ran down from 2 years ago when I came the last time even then the towels was very white and not off white with brown stains. They need a new owner or something that cares about that facility. It don't deserve 1 star but my moms room was the most decent out of all of them.

RACIST FRONT DESK CLERK MYRA
My experience at the Tupelo,Ms location was terrible. I waited 15 minutes before getting acknowledged. The customer in front of was having issues with being charged and withdrawn from her account with the clerk stating it hasn鈥檛 been paid. Finally get checked in and getting settled my kids wanted to swim. Not being aware of the crowded pool area. Front desk clerk MYRA APPROACHED MY GIRLS ON THEIR WAY TO THE POOL TOLD THEM THEY COULD NOT GET IN THE POOL. ALSO STATED SHE WAS CALLING THE POLICE ON 10-13 YEAR GIRLS BECAUSE THEY ASKED WHH COULDNT THEY GO IN. MY KIDS AND I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH RUDE, RACISM, DISRESPECT-FULLNESS ever. Things could have been handled in better way. She lied to her manager as well. I WOULD NOT ADVISE ANYONE TO STAY AT THAT LOCATION DUE RACISM/COLOR ISSUES. AS LONG AS RACIST MYRA WORKS THERE. RACIST MYRA HAS A HORRIBLE ATTITUDE AND DEMEANOR.

Charged me for a night when I never completed a reservation. They did this when I hasppened to dine at a Choice Hotel restaurant and therefore obtained access to my credit card.Choice said they could not assist, because shortly after this improper use of ,y card information, they dropped this particular ghotel location from their "inventory."

I stayed at Kent, Ohio for a week, when I made the reservation, they neglected to inform me I would have to clean my room, half the staff neglected to wear state required Masks and most of all they leave the side door and back doors open for anyone to enter the Pool area, where we had men coming in, stripping down to their boxer shorts, one getting in the Hot Tub with children, another sitting by the Pool and watching the children. When we informed the front desk, they explained the doors had to remain open for air circulation. BEWARE OF YOUR CHILDREN'S SAFETY. The water fountain the children used was full of dirt and rust and even when told about it, it was never cleaned.

VERY VERY Satisfied customer in my stay for the 3rd time at the Comfort Suites on route 1 North Brunswick New Jersey. My first stay was March 2020, second stay was June 2020 and my third stay was August of 2020. Very clean, organized and well prepared for their customers. Every one is very courteous and professional for all of my stays. There was a consistency in the cleanliness and they went out of there way to make me feel like a satisfied customer. While it is an older hotel it is very well kept. On all three of my stays this year i have been satisfied and i plan on coming for my fourth stay in the near future. THIS IS MY HOME AWAY FROM HOME WHICH IS 6 HOURS AWAY. THANK YOU Patrick and ALL of the staff for making my family and I feel comfortable. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.

I am regret to join as their Choice Hotel Privileges membership, I don't feel any Privileges at all specially try to get help from their Privileges customer service help line. Long call waiting and finally there is a real person I can talk to, but they just keep transfer me to different staffs and testing my patient by holding my call on the line for hours. I don't feel I am their "important " customer at all – which they keep mention on their waiting voice recording.
There is a refund check Choice Hotel promised mailed it to me since March due to 1 night stay cancellation problem. I have been waiting this check for 5 months until now, and the response is their accounting department is closed since March and it is still ongoing closed???- I could not believe a international company who manages 12 hotel branding with ongoing shutdown accounting department??? If the company is not willing to refund the money, the company should tell the truth in the beginning, rather than comforting and hope the issue would disappear – because the customer will get tired and abandon follow-up his/her rights and interests???
At the end the of last phone call, the lady offer me 8000 points instead the check. I told her 8000 points is not even equal to the points to stay 1 night at the hotel which cost 25000 points. The lady said there is nothing she can do, either I keep waiting the check or accept 8000-15000 membership points which is not even enough to stay one night at any of their hotel.

Room 131, Wenatchee, WA. Excellent customer service from inquiring about rooms, to curtesy calls asking when we will check in to check in. Every staff member including maintenance, housekeeping and breakfast server was very friendly.
The only concern is our mattresses were not comfortable. We woke up with back aches. Maybe our room just need new mattresses.

Mainstay in Columbus Worghington OH is terrible. No signage, dirty rooms, bad AC, and worse of all most employers not wearing face masks. I have complained to customer service. Willing to change rating if they take action. However, a good hotel and owner checks these types of things.

I showed up and was informed as i was paying there is an additional charge for $50 to cover incidentals. I adked whatcthat was. They said if a buy snacks or a coke. Ot would be refunded. The next morning i asked for a receipt and it did not show the additional $50. I wasnt until they made 2 calls they gave me a another teceopt for the $50. I used none of it said it should take a week. Hitt Road San Antonio avoid it.

Although the Quality Inn that I recently stayed at in Petosky, MI was excellent, Choice Hotels SUCKS!!!!!
They charged me twice on my credit card! (And not even the same OR correct amount each time.) When I called Quality Inn about it, I was told that they didn't even know about it b/c Choice DOESN'T TELL THEM, and that this has been happening for MONTHS! So, if one doesn't catch it on his/her credit card statement in order to call and correct it, CHOICE REAPS ALL THE OVERCHARGED MONEY, NEVER NOTIFYING THE HOTEL OR THE GUEST!!!!!!!!!!
I will be contacting the appropriate state Attorney General about Choice Hotels' FRAUD!

Be careful with this company. They train their staff to give fraudulent and misleading information.
We choose to stay with them over the course of a week in several different cities. We spoke to 3 different representatives who promised our various stays covered a free night. When we spoke with those reps we asked the same question in various different manners to be sure that we qualified and were covered. All 3 said yes. Turns out all 3 lied. We even had a 4th rep admit to us that the other 3 gave us inaccurate information and that we were mislead. Due to their fraudulent promises we not only had to pay $300 for our 1 night stay that was supposed to be free, but we also ended up missing other reservations costing us additional money. Why would we miss other reservations you ask? Because the hotel told us we couldn鈥檛 leave until the issue was fixed and customer service kept us on the phone for 2 hours, placing us on hold every 3 minutes for 20 minutes at a time.
Choices Response: 鈥渋t鈥檚 your fault for calling us.鈥?
After all that, and even though they admitted they were wrong, we still had to pay for the room!!!
Be careful folks… their programs do not live up to their promises!! And their customer service doesn鈥檛 care at all. We didn鈥檛 receive a single apology for their incompetent staff, for our lost money, or for our lost time.
Oh, and by the way, Choices asked us to send a PM so that you wouldn鈥檛 see how badly they鈥檝e treated us… and they still refused to help.

The airport Wuality Inn Tusco was without a doubt the filthiest hotel I've had the opportunity to experience in my 45 years of business and personal travel in US, Europe, and Asia. The elevator has obviously not been cleaned in several weeks (months?). The hallways and stairwells were littered with cigarette butts. I don't know if this is a company owned site or a franchise. If it's a franchise, I suggest an inspection followed with removal of all Choice Hotel materials. The room itself was in okay condition on first sight. Television wasn't able to receive ABC, NBC, or CBS. When I attempted to use the room phone to report the issue, I found the phone had been unplugged. The final last straw was when I went to get a tissue from the dispenser on the bathroom sink stand, I found nothing was visible. I remove the metal covering to perhaps remove a covering to a box containing tissues, but instead found a used CONDOM in the space. When I approached the front desk to report my issues, I was left with the impression the person in charge of the desk had no intention of making any attempt to take any action to address any discrepancies. I can't express my disappointment adequately other than to say this experience leaves Choice Hotels with a huge black eye which will not be healed anytime soon. To top off the experience, I was charged almost $70 to be disgusted enough to leave less than an hour after arrival.

I prepaid a reservation but had to cancel which I did over their automated phone system. This was 5 weeks before my scheduled arrival date.
I received a confirmation email with a cancellation number. After 8 days I noticed my refund had not been processed so I called their toll free number.
A recorded message said they were understaffed and couldn't take my call. It just said "goodbye" with no option to leave a message, no time given to call back or no option for them to call me back. What a joke.
So I decided to call the hotel directly. They said yes – I see your cancellation but your refund was not processed because I have to call and the manager must approve. Which he did thankfully. Keep in mind that neither in the email nor the cancellation call did they tell me I had to make another call to get the refund.
My cancellation was within the time frame to get a full refund. Why did I have to go through that extra step? Why wasn't it automatically refunded?
I'll tell you why. They are scamming people with this fraudulent activity. How many people assume it will automatically get refunded and not watch this to make sure the refund comes through?
Do they think people who cancel just want Choice to keep their money as a donation? This is a shameful tactic to ripoff their customers for easy profit.

I have been a choice diamond member for 5 years. I stay in choice hotels 265 days per year. Today they took 10,000 points from me because they claim my stays overlap even though they didn鈥檛 and even if they did if you pay for your stay what the hell is the difference? They refuse to replace my points so therefore i will NEVER stay at another choice hotel! This is how intelligent they are and how much they give a damn about their customers! Do the math , 265 stays a year times a 100.00 minimum per stay compared to 10,000 points that cost them nothing! Guess who loses Choice you do! Just lost one of your best clients and not only did you lose me we have 350 people at my company that i will also tell to stay elsewhere so keep your damn points!

I am choice rewards member and have been for years. We recently came to visit family and decided to try Quality Inn of Vincennes. It was a huge mistake! There were cough drops and trash around the bed upon our arrival. We were given a very hard time and quoted several prices while needing to extend our stay by one night. When asked about the difference in price, they stated because of the amount of people. Remind you the amount of people NEVER changed. After checking out we recieved a call from the front desk that there would be a $50 charge for a missing towel!! I have never been to such a horrible choice hotel since being a member. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!

An update. Choice hotels did absolutely zero about any of this. Nothing This is a choice hotel called the rodeway inn in SeaTac Seattle
Whatever you鈥檙e thinking whatever you鈥檙e doing DO NOT STAY HERE. don鈥檛 give this pathetic excuse for a hotel or the rude disgusting men that run it one cent of your money. When I said I complained to choice hotels the manager said get out tomorrow. We had a emergency because of the riots and this was the only place available at the time. A total dump. The outlets don鈥檛 even work. It鈥檚 a joke a bad one. A filthy, dark dismal place where you鈥檙e lucky to get new towels. And of course choice hotels didn鈥檛 care at all. They dismissed my complaint because we were still checked in. The keycards never work. The garbage is piled up next to a broken ice machine. I really can鈥檛 give this place a worse review. Please don鈥檛 give it any of your hard earned money

Stayed at Comfort Inn & Suites Rock Hill on Corporate Blvd. Had to ask for toilet paper and clean towels. And they charged my card for 2 unauthorized transactions. They do not care about their guests and neither does choice. Choice just wants you to spend money but doesn't do anything about the hotels even when you are a diamond member.Choice told me to talk to the hotel staff myself about the charges they didn't see in their system. No reservation was made. So what is choice for? The owner of the hotel said he wasn't providing good service to me. The basic need of toilet paper. Wow.

In one weeks worth of visits as familiarization stays as a travel advisor at my stays with the Choice Hotel Properties I have had Bed Bugs, The police called on me for reporting bed bugs, Been placed on hold for 1.5 hours on some calls regarding bed bugs, email reports ignored, Denied the right to use my rewards points after booking and at check-in, Been hung up on, Been lied to and really I'm sure I could add more. But those are enough to justify never using their rewards program as well as boycotting their properties.

I have tried to contact the Choice hotel (Comfort Suites Fredericksburg South) for many times. I wasn't able to enter the country, due to COVID-19, so I wanted to change the dates of my reservation. They didn't respond on my emails and they charged the room anyways.

It would be fine if i could get my 33,000 points im owed i spent $6300.00 and they gave me 32,000 points well do the math 10 points per dollor spent at choice.Never have had a problem with getting my points until this $6300.00.
