If I could give zero stars I would. I鈥檓 still kicking myself for buying through this company without reviewing them first. My tickets got cancelled because of Covid and they wouldn鈥檛 refund me! The stipulations on my flight credits are ridiculous. They鈥檙e basically stealing $1200 from me which I need because I鈥檓 poor, which is why I bought from them in the first place. Do not buy through this company.

I echo the sentiments of all these people. I also had to cancel my trip to Canada due to Covid-19. International travel bans kept being extended and forced me to cancel or lose everything I spent to book my trip. All my cancellations went off without a hitch UNTIL! I went to cancel the flight I booked through Cheapoair. Shame on me for not just booking direct. I got destroyed on cancellation fees. Nevermind what your reasons are, they don't care. If you cancel for ANY reason, you will be molested at the tune of $35 per person. Please! Heed my words! Do not use these predators. DO NOT USE CHEAPOAIR!

I had to cancel my flight w/ AirIndia and flight home early due to COVID. I have been in contact with CheapOair represents for hours and sent many emails and have not received the refund 7 months later, although the charged my $70 fees for "processing the refunds". This is a slimy company and will not hand back money to customers for any reason (even a global pandemic) and will continue to charge you additional fees on top of that.

Had to change original flight. A whole leg of the flight was canceled. An hour and a half on the phone with them to change flights, airlines and non refundable insurance charge. Now, the second booked flight has changed TRAVEL DATES! Called, asked for a refund, charged 205.00 for "services". Costly in the long run. Save yourself effort, headaches, time and yes, money. Book with a more reliable travel site or directly with airline. Cheapo is bad to deal with.

I booked a flight on 2 days notice with United Airlines, or so I thought! I never went to a Cheapoair websight but somehow the flight got highjacked to this company as I was booking. Not questioning the price(expensive) but how this company moved into the transaction. I then had trouble with online check at UAL since I had a confirmation # they did not recognize. More hassle, calling cheapoair to get proper #. Then a charge of $30.55 appeared on my cc statement from cheapoair! Not Happy!

When travel restrictions were placed by the president, I spent 8 hours trying to reach our during which I was disconnected multiple times. You response was totally inadequate. I ws not looking to get a refund but merely use the travel waiver that united airlines was offering to reschedule within the next year… You should have been there to help. My booking # is 66643618. I expect you to make good on your failure in you handling of this situation

Worst experience while booking a flight. Their services and policies are just like their name "CHEAP". They will not share the hidden fees upfront and will not refund even when airline cancelled the flight. I would rather pay a little extra to book directly just to get the transparent service. If you ask for your refund more than once they will hang up on you. Stay away from them

AWful travel agency, we were not told that people holding valid visas cannot enter the USA due to the corona virus, they had us book with them and would not refund us and kept sending us in circles to the airline when we called the airline we were told the travel agency would need to refund us. This hassel and their lack of information resulted in a minor staying in london aiport for two days alone. It was a traumatic experience for all of us. Needless to say, when I tried to speak with a supervisor I was denied TWICE.

Don鈥檛 use them, it鈥檚 easy to book, but support is terrible. I was stranded in the Philippines, since my flight was canceled through China! I bought their useless insurance, I got my original half of the round trip refunded and had to pay out if pocket almost triple for a rebook. Then I just went through the same thing booking and receiving a call do I want the real insurance. I was so upset,I trued to cancel within two hours what a joke, don鈥檛 bother. Take your money to a casino

One Star is one too many. Terrible, rude customer service. Refusing to request the refund I am legally entitled to for a cancelled flight. Been trying to get a refund since April 2020 – it is now July 2020. Do not purchase a ticket through this company. They have done nothing to assist me, and everything to make it extremely difficult for me to get what I am legally entitled to.

They are extremely dishonest and you will end up paying more. Stay away there is absolutely no benefit from buying from them just buy from the airline directly they have hidden service fees, reticketing fees, etc even when the airline itself during these times have a very flexible rebooking policy, CheapOair will charge you to make the change. It is all false advertising they make money off the deception, STAY AWAY!!!

I'll add mine to the list. I made a reservation in February 2020 for a flight in March. When COVID-19 starting spreading I tried to contact CheapOair to cancel and wasn't able to. I had to contact American Airlines to cancel the flight. They took my information and the same day not only canceled my flight but told me that I would get a full refund. I took screenshots and they sent me an email confirming the cancellation and another email when they refunded CheapOair. I then emailed CheapOair with copies of the emails and conversations with American Airlines. They never responded. I made several calls and then finally they called me back but claimed I never sent them the information. I took the representative's contact information and sent it while I was on the phone with the rep. He then canceled my flight but told me he would have to confirm with AA that I was given a refund. After he did this he said it would be 2 billing cycles for them to refund my money minus the fees. It took almost 4 cycles. I have still not received all of my money. II recently received part of it since I used two cards. When I called about the rest they said that the other card had expired, so I would have to wait 7 days, but they needed to charge $1.00 to verify the substitute card was active. Mind you it was the card they just refunded part of the money too. Of course, it has past the time given. After waiting 2 hours on the phone and in the chat line, the chat representative told me I would just have to wait. No time frame, just wait. She gave me (888) 793-4229 for billing which tells you to call (646) 738-4820 nd puts you on hold. She also gave me 9845) 664-6189 which just tells you to use their automated web service. I will NEVER use this company again.

Update on my CheapOAir experience: CheapOAir continually refused to give us a refund when our flights were cancelled due to COVID. They said we could get partial credit that had to be used by December 2020. (Hah!) After months of frustrating communication, you know what finally worked in getting a refund? Filling out a complaint form with the U.S. Dept of Transportation. On the same day we got an email from the dept. saying that they ask companies who have had complaints filed against them to resolve the problem, CheapOAir contacted us and said we would be getting a refund!

Save yourself and never use them. They鈥檙e trying to scam me out of $850. I paid for travel protection, waited on hold of over 3 hours, and THEY CANCELLED MY FLIGHT. I never cancelled and now they鈥檙e refusing to refund me back. I鈥檓 beyond upset. I should have done my research better and will warn everyone away from them. Never ever ever ever ever use them! Unless you鈥檙e okay with a company stealing from you.

Multiple charges and no accountability. I used them for a side trip flight from Okinawa to Tokyo. I used Delta "directly" for my flight to Okinawa. CheapOAir charged me a booking fee and also a fee to TripMate (flight insurance). My flight to Okinawa was 2 April and returning to Mississippi 23 April. Delta cancelled my flight and refunded me the entire amount. However, my side trip to Tokyo from 5 April to 9 April was booked through CheapOAir and they will give me only credit on JetAir (Japan Airlines). Of course, unless I get a way to go to Japan in the next 6 months (from April 2020), I might be able to use it – not likely to happen. I did; however, file a claim with TripMate (flight insurance through CheapOAir). I was denied a refund from them also. Then CheapOAir sent me an email and told me I would get nothing if I did not cancel. So I was forced to cancel, and they charged me an additional $35. So now I have been charged a booking fee, trip insurance fee, and a cancellation fee ($86 extra). I supposedly have a credit with CheapOAir to fly on Jet Air but if I book again it will cost me another $25 and a different fare. Basically, CheapOAir is out to screw you. No talking to them, or emailing them. I will end up eating this ticket and all the additional charges. However, I learned my lesson and will never use any services from these companies, especially NEVER CheapOAir; and I will let all my employees, coworkers, and friends, to stay clear of them – and have posted this information with the Air Force and the Navy. Dealing directly with known airlines such as Delta, United, etc. is definitely the way to continue booking in the future. Thank God this was only a side-trip and a far lessor amount than my flight to Japan.

So I bought a reservation w/Insurance in case I cancelled because of medical. Covid19 came around and as I watched news in Europe, I saw France and Portugal were being locked down, people my age were asked not to travel by air, and I stood the risk of mandatory quarantine if I flew into those countries. I could NEVER get ahold of cheapoair, ever, for months. No calls, texts, emails…. nothing. As my travel date got closer, I started getting emails I couldn't respond to, telling me my flight was changed, or that I had to cancel at least two days before departure. I didn't know what to do, and no one was available. Bottom.line, I've tried to resolve this issue and cheapoair has refunded 800.00 of 1400.00 dollars for a flight I had to cancel. Never use this company, they are thieves. Will never use again

I booked a return flight to London which I could not use due to Corona virus. I filled in a form online in order to get a refund and got an email back and then waited for two months. Zero communication from Cheapoair. I went to their website and got hold of a representative that told me I wouldn't get a refund I would get a credit. I told him I had in fact insured my trip through them and he then refered me to an insurance website that wanted information that I'
d never been given in order to make a claim. It seems to me that Cheapoair is making this as difficult as possible in orsder to keep my money.

I did try to Cheapoair by phone, I was on hold for seventy minutes and finally a representative piced up and before I could say hello I was hung up on. I guess I'll just have to chalk this one up to experiance and taske the loss.

Well done Cheapoair, you win,.

This is a follow up to my review from last week concerning my April 5 trip that was canceled due to COVID. I just checked my VISA and while there is the cancellation charge of $70, there is STILL no refund that was promised me by CheapOAir. Also, I am unable to reach them by either email or phone! I will continue to leave reviews on here UNTIL CheapOAir refunds me my money!!
