Just wanted to write a glowing review for Charter Vanlines and his team. I had a complex move including a piano on another floor. They took care of everything with professionalism and efficiency. Moving is super stressful but the crew made it easier and I appreciate that greatly. Highly recommended as they were great.

Exceeded my expectations from beginning to start. The crew was amazing, efficient, courteous and totally on top of things. They made my entire moving experience incredibly easy and absolutely stress-free. The movers were quick, friendly and hardworking. My storage unit was perfectly packed and I feel confident about the safety of my stored items. Definitely recommend.

The best movers. This is our third time working with Charter Van lines. They are so amazing. The crew was great, all three times. They were super quick and efficient, very courteous of your home and office space. The movers kept checking in with use to ensure all of your items were properly labeled and would be placed in the rooms we wanted. Definitely use them you will not be disappointed.

My girlfriend and I had a very great experience with team. I was really glad to use their service. They deliver all my boxes carefully without damaging anything. It took 2 hours to pack the 2 bed room apartment. I was pleased with their speed. I had definitely use them again. M was very detailed in explaining the process.

I have been using their service from last 4 years and they never disappoint in any department. Moving, customer service, packing, unboxing. They are master of everything they do. You should call them if you want quality service for move of any kind either short or long.

I used them and they were amazing throughout the moving process. Punctuality, professionalism, humbleness are their qualities. They provide great quality service in very reasonable price. I had to move quickly so I hired them on a short notice but if you are looking to hire them, make sure you book them before time. I am really happy with the service. I will be using them again.

We used this moving company for the first time and they were great! Charter Vanlines and his team members were quick and efficient, calling promptly right before the delivery window and getting the whole job done in an hour. Great service and cost!! Will call clean-cut moving again!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They share a quote with you and later give you 4 times the original price they gave you! I tried to cancel via writing and phobe after reading their reviews within 24 hours. I spoke with my husband, thinking they were Van Lines (a very reputable Company we used for a job relocation), I tried to cancel. They reduced the price and BEGGED us to stay with them and the price will not changed. When they are sued for this bait and switch – they will be out of business. They kept my $400 deposit and lied to my Bank stating I never put anything in writing. That was a LIE. Please, please do not use this company!!!! It鈥檚 not worth it.

Literally the worst moving company I've EVER dealt with. They say they are not a broker – they are. I was shoved off to some company called MoveOn. When they showed up the day of my move, I was told I had DOUBLE the price of what they quoted me over the phone. DOUBLE! To the tune of over $10,000 to move a four bedroom home. I ended up having to fire sale some of my furniture to get it down to $7,000. I filled out an inventory form and then had a follow up phone call, and they still estimated wrong.
During the transit time, I called and emailed 3 times for a status and got no response.
Fast forward to 14 DAYS later – my stuff finally shows up at my new house. Everything was shoved in boxes with absolutely no logic or organization. Instead of protecting fragile items with paper or bubble wrap, they were "protected" with my CLOTHES, TOWELS, and BED LINENS. Or, not protected at all – resulting in numerous broken items including 2 lamps, wall art, dishes, and pictures.
Perhaps the most egregious – they rolled my king size mattress up like a burrito and taped it that way to move it. When it was unrolled it was completely ruined. It was a coil/spring mattress, NOT a foam mattress.

The absolute worst. Stay away.

If you are planning your move and are considering using Charter Van Lines, there are a few things you should know.

1. They are ONLY a brokerage company and are not the ones delivering your stuff.

2. They will give you a low quote to get your deposit and when you get your call to confirm your shipment the price will double. We were quoted 2200 for our move which included 35 boxes. We removed the boxes completely and our order still increased by 150 dollars. Why, because they did not record the measurements of the furniture correctly.

3. They assure us that our furniture would be there with in 5 -10 days. However when we called to see when it would be delivered after the 5 days were up, we were informed that they had 35 business days to deliver our stuff.

They say they are a 5 star company but they are not.

Do not use this company. You've been warned.

This is the worst moving company ever. Daniel is a lier. He is going to be very nice at the beginning. As soon as he took ur money. U never going to hear back from him. The worst, they don't have a truck. They will send some Spanish liers to steal ur stuff. They took my bed frame. Please stay away from this company. Do not deal with Daniel. Don't deal with Daniel. He is a lier lier lier ….

Two days later I received a call from Daniel Stevens. The representative explained he had more experience than my particular salesman Mark Ryan and that he wanted to talk to me to find out why I changed my mind. Again I simply reported we were no longer moving and did not need their services any longer. He refused to accept this as an answer and continued to ask me the "real reason" we were cancelling. He quickly became more and more agitated and became quite unprofessional. He told me I was a liar and that as I'm from Utah I must be Mormon and certainly Morman's aren't permitted to lie. He questioned my moral character then said "I hope you're going to church tomorrow" and hung up. As it was not clear from this conversation that the refund would be processed I sent two follow up emails and called. No response to the emails but when I called, after a brief hold, was told the refund was being processed and that I would receive a confirmation email. That was 4 days ago and still nothing.

While all my things arrive in tact the experience was horrible. I needed my stuff to arrive on a certain date and at no point did they tell us that it could take up to a week for my stuff to arrive PAST the date we had originally said I needed the stuff to arrive. Customer service representatives were mean and bitchy when I called to talk to them which I did several times during the whole process. While it was in the contact that we signed at no point in the process or during the numerous conversations did they mention that in some cases it could take UP TO 20 DAYS for my stuff to arrive due to the distance. I am not faulting them for what is in the contract but I would have been able to plan better if they had just been upfront at the beginning about that the time period I wanted was unreasonable. They left a lot of things unmentioned and then got mean and snippy when I asked about why these things where not mentioned beforehand. I would not use them again and I would suggest you don't either.

NOT UNLIKE OTHER REVIEWS, IF I COULD GIVE A NEGATIVE RATING I WOULD. THEY GET YOU ON THE LINE AND FORCE YOU TO GIVE A DEPOSIT OR YOU鈥橪L 鈥淟OSE THE DEAL鈥? THE CONTRACT GIVES YOU 7 BUSINESS DAYS TO CANCEL…THEY DO NOT HONOR. I HAVE NEVER FELT COMPELLED TO LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW BEFORE, BUT THE CONVERSATION, RUDENESS, LAUGHTER AND OVER-ALL LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM THAT I EXPERIENCED WHEN I CALLED TO STATE I WAS PROCEEDING WITH MY CANCELLATION IS APPALLING. I WILL FIGHT THIS TO THE FULLEST EXTENT AVAILABLE BY LAW. TODAY IS APRIL 18TH, MY MOVE WAS ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR THE 26TH AND MOVED TO THE 30TH, WITH WRITTEN CONFIRMATION BY ME AND THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT I鈥橫 NOT WITHIN THE TIME FRAME PERMISSIBLE TO CANCEL. FOR THIS COMPANY IT IS ABOUT COLLECTING AND RETAINING DEPOSITS AS OPPOSED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Due to my past traumas moving i was skeptical with trying it again, but i worked with a great representative before our move named josh and he helped up have an amazing experience. everything was delivered promptly within the delivery frame they promised.

Horrible service..Do not recomend. Company need to be honest to their Customers and not lying saying staff will be delivered from 1- 7 days and it took 3 weeks, one day for us to get our staff delivered.. Some staff broken and boxes falling apart after being in a warehouse in Chicago for 3 weeks.On top we got over charges of additional 2000.00 at pick up..
Please do your research on all Moving Companies to avoid the hassle I had to go thru for 3 weeks

I just finished college and had been sharing an apartment with my roommate. After graduation I was offered a job opportunity I could not pass up, only catch was moving from California to NJ. As a single college female who has watched way too much HGTV, my shared apartment had more things than I鈥檇 like to admit. My roommate suggested I use the moving company her parents used when they moved. My budget was pretty tight, so I was reluctant, but after speaking to their customer service rep, I felt so great about my decision and was blown away by the price! Needless to say, they moved my items with no issues. The crew was professional and efficient and no damage was done to any of my items! They even had a list so nothing was misplaced or lost!! If I ever move again, I will be calling Charter Van Lines!

Charter Van Lines has exceeded our expectations as a moving company! As our parents are getting older, my husband and I decided to make the move back home to Pennslyvania from North Carolina to be able to assist them. We had contacted several other moving companies and we came across Charter Van Lines. They really blew us away with their great communication and amazing customer service. Their prices are extremely competitive and it was a perfect fit for our family. We were so worried about our things, but they arrived on time and with no damage! We couldn鈥檛 ask for better with a moving company. I would recommend doing business with them to anyone in the market looking to move out of state or across the country. Give them a call for a quote, you will not be disappointed!

Sometimes in life you just have to get away from the daily routine you鈥檝e been in for so long, and I decided that the best way for me to do that was to move across the country. Moving from my place of birth, Houston, Texas all the way to Pennsylvania. At first I was worried about the hassle of taking all of my belonging from one point to the other, until I found Charter Vanlines, who made all my worries disappear. With friendly faces that exerted trustworthiness, affordable prices, and great communication I was easily able to get all my things moved over to my new place. Using Charter Vanlines was one of the best choices I made during this drastic change in my life, I highly recommend this company and their services for any moves in the future!

My wife and I had to move because I got a new job opportunity in Nevada. We lived in Maryland, practically our whole lives and this is the first time either of us made a cross-country trip. We decided to hire a moving company to help with the move. My wife and I shopped around for different rates and most moving company鈥檚 prices are outrageous. Then we found Charter Van lines. They offered the best service for the lowest price. All we had to do was sit back and watch. They packed up our belongings the right way, to prevent damages. They even offer a movers guarantee, which many of their competitors do not. My experience with their company was great. If I ever move again, I will be sure to call Charter Van Lines.

Charter Vanlines were a great choice when deciding who to assist us with our family's move. I was impressed from my first phone call where I received my quote, all the way up until the last box was unloaded. They were friendly, hard working and quite honestly made the entire moving process so much easier than it would have been if we had not decided to hire someone. We would give them a 10/10 without a doubt, and would recommend them to anyone who needed help with their relocation needs.

I sent my info online to ask about the price, they called me back and gathered some information, the man told me the total will be 696$ but he will makes a discount so the total will be 969 (yes the price is increasing with the discount don't ask me how), he said give me your credit card number so I asked him to send me the bill to review it before paying, he kept saying no pay now, I insisted and he insisted, we spent around half an hour just saying please just send me the bill and I will call you back but he was only responding by no give me the numbers of your card…so I told him that I don't have one but I will call my father to give me his, he insisted not to end the call and have a conference call with my dad, I told him I want to awake him from sleep but he kept insisting, I told him that my father is outside the country and living in a different time zone, but he kept insisting, I said just send me the bill, he said we will give you 300$ discount, when he sent it it mentioned the total is 1396$ (yup more discount with more price rising) he kept refusing to hang out, then he said use another card than your father's, I told him that I don't have one, he said then how do you pay your bills and gas and grocery (which is not his business), I told him that I had one but it expired so I'm paying with cash, he said no you can't do that you have to contact the bank one month before the expiration and what you are saying is a lie, I told him that my bank is outside the US and I have to be their in person to have a new one and that will take time (still not his business), I told him that I will get back to you, he said the discount will be gone, I said I'm fine with it I don't have the credit card now anyway so when I have the number I will call you back, he said no just call your father while you're with me, I said sir please I can't let me just get back to you I only called to know the price not to make a ship now, he was no pay now or the discount will go, I said I will try my luck, he started screaming and said will you know you have to stop playing those games you will end up with bad luck through out your life and you will only get bad services as you deserve…I ended the call before he finish

A fantastic moving company I would recommend to ANYONE. Honestly, moving out of my apartment in Michigan to Florida was stressful at first. I didn't know how to make reservations and what the whole process was going to look like. A friend of mine suggested I try Charter Vanlines, and I am so thankful for that. They are THE BEST when it comes to moving from state-to-state. They don't do local moves, so keep that in mind. For college students looking for a cheap, easy, and effective way of getting to the best years of your life, consider this company. Also, if you are new to the whole moving across the country thing, consider their 鈥淩eserve a Move Date鈥?option thing. I don鈥檛 see alot of other companies do that and it was really helpful, as well as their ability to give instant quotes.

Honestly, who likes to move? Not me! I have a full-time job, 2 kids, and a house full of memories to pack and unpack in a different state.

They made a difficult move easy! It was amazing how helpful they were. I moved 2 states over, and the stress of it all almost killed me! I have little kids, and a full time job at the time, I didn't have time to pack and move my whole house while living my life. I'm so glad my husband found this company. They took care of my fragiles and gave great customer service. And once we were at the new house, they were so helpful in putting boxes in the rooms that they belonged in. They were clearly labeled and effortless. The only thing i need to worry about was how my family had to deal with the move, not the actual move itself. Amazing
