Ugh. I really liked the food here and I hate to complain but the service was horrible. I dont think I've ever tipped less thank 15%, usually 20-25. But I'm seriously considering 0 right now. Like I said the food was fantastic. But we asked for bread like everyone else but never got bread. And apparently the policy is no water refills either. But the real kicker was that I ordered a second glass of wine. My wife ordered her second about 10 minutes later. When hers arrived I asked about mine and the waiter had some bs excuse about when the ticket gets put in. Just apologize and admit you forgot. Dont lie to me. Various other issues… I'm upset because the food was great but I feel like a second class citizen right now and that's upsetting. Btw. He offered to bring me the wine for free but I'm upset now and not interested because I've finished my dinner

The food was good but the waitress had an attitude problem. She made every transaction difficult. I paid for a 100$ Groupon voucher to see if I'd like the restaurant and she was just terrible. This is not the first time I've walked in to this place and had a difficult time talking with a staff member. They just have terrible service. Wish they could improve on their quality of serving people with a smile and pleasantry. It's not all about just the quality of food.

First, I love that they have a groupon. So get that! We had the crab cake appetizer, it was a real disappointment. It was breaded and had a different type of flavor. I wasn't feeling it. Then I had the shrimp capellini, which was okay. I was looking for a fuitti de mar type dish and had to settle on that. It was okay. They only give 3 shrimp. Idk if that's typical, I'm from new Orleans so we don't skimp on shrimp. My colleague enjoyed her lobster ravioli. Then we shared a creme brulee for dessert and that was really good!

We booked the private room for a pre-wedding dinner. The staff was fantastic: Super friendly, fast, and the table setting was beautiful. The room was huge considering our party of 16. Tons of room to walk around and hang out without having to push chairs in or squeeze. Music was not too loud, AC was working perfectly.
The food was really good. We ordered the 'four options' plan with the $500 minimum and it was great. I heard no complaints. The drinks were pricey, but no more than you would expect from a downtown bar. The bar itself was pretty and spacious, though we didn't spend time in there.
The only real problem was the bathroom. For some reason, the small ladies room was being cleaned for an hour. We had to take the escalator down to the other bathroom which was the bathroom being used for a wedding. I hesitate to mention it, but it was a weird situation.

My wife and I had a couple meals at Centro while staying at the Omni. All good experiences. My Rigatoni Bolognese was spot on and a later meal, the Lobster Roll, was delicious if not quite authentic. The lobster part was perfect, but it came on a sandwich bun rather than a split-top bun.
Centro is a little on the pricey side, but not out of line with hotel restaurant pricing. We had excellent service at both meals, attentive but not hovering.

I ordered room service and had the Bianca Four Cheese pizza…So basic. The description mentions "Fresh Herbs"…I can assure you, there's NO fresh herbs. It's not awful, but there's no sauce, no herbs and bland cheeses. I tried to add some veggies but they said they couldn't do that…mind you the veggies were mushroom and onions..2 items that they have on a burger that's also available. Anyway, the order taker sounded lazy so maybe that was the issue. Pizza is not bad, just need a little something else..Salt, Pepper, Red pepper flakes, splash of olive oil…oh wait!!! Maybe fresh herbs…

Amazing service!
We stayed at Omni Hotel for the weekend. Just finished breakfast at Centro Restaurant. The food is delicious but beyond that, the service was so warm and welcoming.
Paul, the manager, was terrific and apparently does good job by training his staff.
Thank you Paul! Can't wait to be back 🙂

I was able to have two meals at Centro during my stay in Providence. I had the breakfast buffet, which was good as far as breakfast buffets go. For dinner, I had a crab cake sandwich and a salad which was delicious!! My friend ordered the kid's macaroni and cheese, which was nothing short of amazing and most certainly didn't come out of a box. If you're wanting a good meal and don't want to leave the hotel, this is certainly worthwhile!

Came here for breakfast because its inside the hotel and itms convenient but if I have a choice, I would not come here.
For the first day, I dined in because I wanted to experience the restaurant first hand. Firstly, it was like 90+ degree weather and their ac broke down so it was like a sauna. Secondly, I ordered a latte and they gave me a regular coffee and got charged $6 for it because the menu didnt specify how much the coffee costs. Also, when I was ordering food, it wasnt even busy and i waited for half an hour for my pancake when I told them I was in a rush and please speed up my order.
Then I decided to order room service. They want me to call after 6am and wont take my orders the night before. The food did came faster than when dining in but it was dry and tasteless. I ordered a croissant and could not find it and called them and it turned out that it was hidden inside a napkin underneath a plate that basically is squeezed and looked like a cookie and they told me that's their way to do it.
I really could not think of even one possible way to come back and eat here again.

It's pricy and they try to be really fancy but it's not. The wait staff aren't that great/well trained. My silverware was awfully dirty. The pizza I ordered literally tasted like Walmart brand frozen pizza. The clam chowder is REALLY GOOD though!!

I hate to give a bad review based on one bad experience, but this is probably the only time I'll visit this lounge. Staying at the Omni during a work trip and I visited the Centro Lounge for a nightcap. I ordered an Old Fashion, which is my favorite drink to try in a new city. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst old fashion I've had in my entire life. It had all the right ingredients but it tasted terrible. Didn't even taste like an old fashion. It was also inundated ice #sad. To add insult to injury, I paid $18 dollars for it. Definitely not worth the price. I drank it as fast as i could and got the heck outta there.

My boyfriend and I love this place. We've been three times, using a groupon each time. They tend to have really good groupon deals now and again. The portions are great, pasta is delicious. It's right inside the Omni Hotel and across the walking bridge from the mall. Very nice atmosphere, usually not too busy. We probably wouldn't go without a groupon because it's on the pricier side, but service has been good and the food is consistently tasty. The bolognese is wicked good too.

Centro Restaurant and Lounge is located in the Omni Hotel. We ordered a New England Clam Chowder which is a great rendition; loved the sour and rich taste. The chicken Piccata was delicious and the sauce was finger licking good, in fact, everything we ordered we licked the plate. Centro also validated parking in the adjacent garage, so you will not pay for parking while patronizing Centro.

My opinion may not count since I'm not from the east coast, but this was the best New England clam chowder I've ever had. Perfect consistency, lots of clam, a good peppery flavor. I could have just had two bowls of that for dinner. I did however also get the veggie panini and greens which were also yummy. The veggies in the panini were well-seasoned and flavorful although a bit soft, as I like a little firmness left in my saut茅ed veggies. The salad was nothing special, and I must warn that the dressing goes a long way. I used all my dressing and probably would have been good with half. If I am ever back in town, I will come back for my two bowls of clam chowder. The service was excellent. The prices were a bit high, but to be expected for a restaurant in a hotel. Overall, I would give them a thumbs up.

We tend to come here after college basketball at the DD Center. Easy place for a beer or wine while waiting for the parking hordes to disperse .
Today, after a sold out game, it was packed. We had made a reservation on open table while at the game
Food good as always. But staff, so helpful, so involved helping each other out! Manager bringing food and drinks and making sure everyone was happy. Can't describe how well they all worked together to make our time enjoyable.

This is one of my favorite places in Providence to eat conveniently located on the second level of the Omni hotel on West Exchange street. Valet parking is available. The restraint is perfect for an intimate setting with views of the capital building, Providence Place Mall and various other buildings. Food is great. Dessert is even better. Service is great. 5 Stars all around.

Decent spot for a quick drink or dinner if staying in downtown or in the hotel. Also a good spot if you're in the mall and need a good spot for dinner without stepping outside as you can take the bridge over.
Good wine list although only few are available by the glass. Got the prosciutto and fig pizza which was quite good, only neg is the toppings were scarce. 3 stars only because there was a hair in the pizza and was in a hurry, else would've asked for another one. Good spot overall otherwise. Service was very good.

This place is super convenient when you are spending time at the Rhode Island Convention Center. I've escaped to here a few times when I needed a break from the chaos that was going on in the convention center. The bar area seating is great but there is also quieter restaurant seating in the back. There are a few delicious vegetarian options and the staff is has always been super friendly / helpful! You absolutely MUST get the eggplant appetizer!!
