Rented a car from Pisa. Paid an extra 鈧?00 to have the max insurance and was upgraded from a fiat 500 to a brand new jeep.
Staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. The only thing; the shuttle bus pick up point wasn鈥檛 clear. Usually when you use an off airport site car rental they have a free phone system to tell them you have arrived. Centauro don鈥檛, so we spent a while thinking we had got the wrong place.

I would use them again.

Renting at Pisa Airport. Arriving the signposts for the shuttle is not quite clear. Luckily the shuttle arrived as we did, so went smooth. Getting the car was fast and easy, the car was clean and ready as we arrived to the rental office. Easy check in.
Only negative is the small shuttle transfer which you need to include in your time planning

Booking through Autoeurope and Centauro Italy – flawless!
Very nice people at the office, not pushy on selling extra insurances, nice upgrade to Nissan Qashqai, smooth return and polite and smiling service!
We will use Centauro again!

Only improvement is information on where the shuttle will pick us up at the airport! Parking No. 5 is big!! – Maybe put up better signs or explanation in info email!

I am having the worst experience with this car rental company. Do not go near them.
I rented my car on the 21st of February landing in Malpensa from Dublin. Because of CoronaVirus, when my rental was up I was by law unable to leave my municipality for reasons other than work or health. I checked with the guards who confirms that if I am stopped attempting to return it I would be fined 鈧?00.
So I contacted the company who took days to get back offering two solutions:
– extend at the tune of 鈧?00+ per week (when I no longer need the car as I can't use it and the shops are at walking distance) or
– get it towed at the 'cheap' price of 鈧?50

So, I am stuck with this car and I have to pay to either keep it parked in the garage not using or to have it returned. Thank you Centauro for helping people in this time of crisis where I personally am losing a portion of my salary and my sister has lost her job. I want to say something really bad but in respect to TrustPilot's readers, I won't. It is in these moments that you figure out what companies stand for, you stand for taking advantage of people in the most desperate moments.
To all: please don't work with this company.

Moreover, I would have been happy to pay a small sum for keeping the car until the lockdown is over, even though I don't need it, to meet them half way but no effort was made whatsoever form them, this is more then deplorable.
It's not like they need the car back as no-one can drive around so this is just trying to squeeze customers for reasons outside of customers' control.

Took a car back today and something has rubbed against it. All the marks rubbed off and there were no marks or signs of any mark . They insisted they would charge me 鈧?50 however when I got home they changed 鈧?50 … in the photo you cannot see a single mark of any kind

I will never use them ever again

Hire online car with Centauro, Pisa Airport. Before booking I examined the customer satisfaction of various companies on Trustpilot and Centauro was placed in the best end of the positive satisfaction.
Other companies received a very negative response. The general very negative response made me very nervous about renting a car at all in Italy. My nervousness was unjustified as everything worked perfectly and the Centauro people were very friendly.
I think that the reason for the many dissatisfied experiences is that many people choose the cheapest company and service at all and at the same time expect the same quality as if they had paid a little bit more – it is without any sense. I chose all included by accident and theft which was not significantly more expensive compared with the service it provided me.
With everything included I can only recommend Centauro.

My KLM fligt Amsterdam had to arrive in Rome around 18.40, the shuttle bus picked us up around 21.30. Although I was registered in the Centauro system and i had the voucher, my passport, driving licence and creditcard, they didnt give me the car i had reserved, because it was not completely clear if my name was luca or lorenzo. So what? From all the id`s and your own registration system you could see, i was the only person who had made this reservation. Because the reservation was set set at 18.40 and although i was at the office around 21.30, my reservation is only valid for 12 hours and within the 12 hours i could not reach Autoeurope to settle the reservation, so they have stolen 155 euro.

This company is atrocious. I rented a Fiat from centauro in Bergamo Italy. They do not have an office in the airport and I had to wait for over 30 minutes before they took me to their office which is over a mile away. They then gave me a car that was covered in scratches but since I was in a hurry I accepted. When I returned they said that the bumper had been scratched and pointed to a number of scratches UNDER the front bumper and charged me 290 euro for it, none of which were bigger than the prescribed circle. I did have my own insurance but it meant I had to go through a lot of hassle to make a claim for something I did not do.
Stay far away from them, they may seem cheap but they will cost you more money and aggravation in the end.

I rented a car in Rome with a centaur.
When I delivered the car, I had to pay by credit card 290 euros for 2 small scratches of two centimeters, about 15 centimeters away.
The inflexible secretary said it was the same damage.
His colleagues was against the charge, considering that it could not be the same damage.
In fact the two small scratches were too far apart.
I called the Police to report the incident, against the managers of the agency. I will sue the company even if it will be difficult because it does not have a legal office.

DO NOT RENT A CAR HERE, THEY CHEAT !
It was by far my worst experience with a car rental!
I waited around 40 minutes for the shuttle
There is a reason why they are cheap! They want to charge you by extra costs.
I reserved a car with a full to full fuel policy, but they delivered the car with 75% fuel. When I asked my reservation is full to full they said "the meaning of the full to full is to return the car on the Same level" !!! As soon as I heard that I understood something should be wrong.
After I asked them to refuel the car they simply said they can't!!!!!! And just after I refused to accept the car they refueled the car. It was the worst experience ever! Everyone who rents cars knows that it's strange not to give you the car in full when you booked so.
They also told me that the car is new and there is no need to check it, but the car was full of scratch which we inserted the most important ones in the contract and agreed that I won't be charged for the Minor ones.
But as soon as I returned the car, they told me that the plate has a curve and you have to pay for it! The curve on the plate was so small and I am sure it was there before I rent the car, and it was something we agreed vocaly not to be charged because they are small and we can not write all of them on the contract.
At the end they refused and said I am responsible for everything which is not inside the contract and I have to pay 350鈧? Even if they want to charge me it should not have been more than 50-60 鈧?However the curve on the plate and scrahes on the hood existed even before I rent the car.
I already talked with my lawyer to go against them. It's important for me to show them they cannot charge everyone as they want.
If you also have the same experience please share with me your documents I will deliver them to my lawyer and we sue them.

I have rented in Italy successfully many times with other car rental companies but this is the first time I have had a bad experience. Huge unjustified excess charges, they even kept charging my card 4 weeks after the rental had finished. A pick up many miles from the airport even though they claimed they were at the airport. A pick up bus which took well over 1/2 hour to arrive, a completely different car than the one we booked. Further they are not members of any recognised rental associations in the U.K. so there is no dispute resolution process. Even the assistant at the desk said they were gold card members of Europecar for their own personal car rental. Never use these highly dishonest people. Fortunately I had insurance cover for the excess and am in the process of disputing the charges with the credit card company.

Pick up service in Milan airport was very poorly organized. We followed instructions from the voucher and waited almost 1 1/2 hours to be taken to the car rental place. We had already paid for full insurance, but they convinced us to buy their insurance as well to avoid fines that were not part of a police rapport. Very expensive. And we were tired and just said yes and wanted to get our car and get out of there. Now almost three months later all of a sudden we get an e-mail that we have received a traffic fine. They can't tell us for what. They can't show us the fine. They just tell us they charge our credit card 50 euro for administration fee. And that the fine is not paid for so if we receive it, we can pay it. I doubt that a traffic fine exists because we did not make any violations. They are not honest. They just want as much of your money as they can. The car was nice though.

The pick up Service in Fiumicino Airport was very bad, I wait for that about a hour. The driver of pick up service very rude. The worse experience with rental car company
