Purchased a gift card for Best Buy. Order processed and money held from my account then I received an email stating the order did not go through. I tried again, same thing. Now I have $1,000 deducted from my account with no gift card. Customer service is non-existent! How is this company still operating? And Best Buy customer service was just as bad or worse.

Bought gift card through Williams Sonoma that actually went through CashStar. Left letter out of email and after five attempts, two online and three phone, with no response cancelled my payment. I cannot believe Williams Sonoma associates with this company.

I purchased a home depot card for my dad for Christmas. I have not received anything no tracking number nothing. I called cash star they were no help. It's ok because I have a powerful attorney and I will be filing a complaint with BBB BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. You can't do this to people they need to be shut down. No more of this foolishness. You guys need to return my money today if not you will get a penalty for false advertisement.

I ordered a gift card from $#*!s Sporting Goods. Never got the confirmation but my credit card was billed. I called $#*!s and they had no record so I disputed the charge. Never did they tell me it was coming from Cash Star. I ordered again, got the confirmation. It wasn't shipped until 6 days later. Now 8 days later I still don't have the card. I called, waited forever and all they could tell me it was shipped, no tracking number. I'm doubting i'll get this in time for Christmas. Never again.

Ordered physical gift cards from roblox. Said they mailed them and gave "USPS" instead is a tracking number. They never arrived, and several weeks later I have contacted roblox about it but get no response. They stole my money.

Do not purchase a gift card by cash star. I purchased $200 gift card. It never arrived. I called them to confirm if I could cancel the gift card a receive a refund. They said I could and I received a confirmation email that it was canceled. It's been over 15 days and they still didn't refund the money. The bank said there is no pending return from them! I keep calling them and they don't answer. I keep emailing them and they won't respond.

I ordered an Ulta gift card through Cashstar (on Ulta's website) 5 days ago. They said they would send me an email in 48 hours giving me an update. Still no update, no one on chat is available, when I called her customer service line provided to me by Ulta, (1-844-249-2086), there isn't a way to opt to speak to someone or connect with someone. I am fine with delays. It's not being able to speak with anyone in customer service or getting an updates.

I have heard of this website, so I thought I would give it a try. I ordered a gift card for Cole's through them, was charged $100, and even received confirmation. A few minutes later I got an email that my order was canceled, but the money was still taken from the bank. I called them six or seven times to find out why it was canceled, and their answer was I must've canceled it. The most frustrating person, Rachel, was very rude and indifferent. When I asked if there was anyone above her, I was of course crushed to find out that she was in fact the highest employee. Basically they charge for gift cards that they do not deliver, received the money, and force you to be refunded by the bank who then tries to sue them but is unable to find them.

Tried to get through to your customer service for 2 and half hours. Leave message to call back. Receive voicemail call back 3 times. Minutes after I leave my call back number they call back and leave a message to call them back at another number. That number is constant busy. Home Depot can't help but they had no problem taking $30.00 out of my bank account. I will never go near this outfit again!

Ordered 2 gift cards for QVC 11/30/20. Was advised they shipped 12/2/20, First Class mailing, to allow 7-10 business days for delivery. Now 12/16 and still now cards, cannot reach by phone and email supplies only a ticket number, no further response. USPS says First Class is 2-3 days for delivery, NOT 7-10 days. Am filing complaint with BBB and possibly Atty. General. Will also file dispute with credit card company. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
Since posting this review, I recv'd an email from CashStar stating my charge card would be credited the $50.00, minus any money spent. Doesn't say much if somebody else stole the card and used it, however, was surprised at receiving the email. Not sure who is responsible for the refund… BBB, QVC Corporate Headquarters or my charge card company. The case remains open with my card company until the refund is credited which may take up to 7 days per CashStar. I have not yet notified the BBB; will do so when I get my refund. In the meantime, ordered cards from Amazon; delivery tomorrow!

I received a refund from Bed Bath and Beyond which was placed on a gift card that I had to activate through Cash Star. I have called on numerous occasions, placed on hold for hours and they still cannot locate the funds. I provided all the requested information and still being told their is no money on the card that they cant find. Stay away from these people.

I had to threaten legal actions to get my gift card from them. They withheld it and refused to help me because I was not the person the card was for. I opened a dispute and will be notifying anyone they client with about them. Do yourself the favor and go out and buy a card or venmo someone money. It be safer and less of a stresser.

12-2-20: Ordered a Gift card as Christmas present. Received email saying will be mailed in 1-3 days… Visa charged 12-4-20.12-11-20: called to request status; Jose said it was in process to be mailed and I should expect it 12-24-20. Will be Too late to deliver… refund will take 7-10 days.
Unlike a reputable company, Cash Star claims your money before shipping product and has use of your money long after you cancel… and that is dependent upon A refund ever being processed!

I've let them know immediately via contact form, and never got an answer, of any kind, and it's been almost a month since the first form. I wrote them again and it's the same. Wouldn't give me an e-card from guitar center using paypal. And then we never tell me the reason why I did not get the card. That is pretty ridiculous not giving me an idea of why I cannot get the card. PayPal was not the problem. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone they work with the customer in this situation like this.

I purchased a $200 lululemon egift card. I was concerned that I did not receive a confirmation email. I reached out to customer service, and they were quick to review my order. It was a mistake on my end (typo). The gift card had been sent successfully upon ordering, and customer service was excellent. Thank you!

I received an email from what I thought was Firebirds Restaurant to purchase gift cards and for every $100 spent, you receive a $20 bonus. I thought these would make perfect gifts for Christmas. I received the four $25 certs I ordered but no card for the $20 bonus. Upon calling I am told the bonus is in electronic format – despite my selected choice to have them received in hard copy format during the order process. I was told to check my email. Upon going back I find the email with two separate $10 electronic certificate that expire DEC 30,2020! This defeats the purpose for buying them as I wanted to give them as gifts. I call and am told no refunds and they cannot convert the bonus to hard copy format. Like seriously? They said they would send in a ticket of escalation and could take up to two days to get back to me with an answer. Let's put it this way, if I am not refunded, I will be disputing this charge with my bank and if that doesn't work I will file in small claims court.

The first 2 times I used this service it was great for Subway. I often give away gifts on a Social Media page. Last week 2 went through the 3rd was a bad email address, I immediately fixed the issue. The card was never sent and when I reached out again they told me to contact Subway directly. Today I received another answer from them instructing me to go to Subway online and use the contact us page… which I have already done. NEVER AGAIN.

I purchased an e-gift card for my son & daughter-in-law's birthdays from IKEA.
They never received the e-gift card but Cashstar immediately withdrew the $200.00 from my checking account. I called to cancel the e-gift card and requested a refund. Still no refund in my checking account. When I call Cashstar, I get some story about "they" will escalate my request for refund. But ask them who "they" are or that I want to speak to "they" and told that's not possible. What a joke! These brand name merchants should not deal with this scam company.
I'll never trust another store's gift cards again.
