Upon investigating Casablanca Fan Co. I found that defective products are nothing new to this firm. One account, available on-line, says they have recalled 3 million 264 thousand fans over a 12-year period. We're now having 108+degree days here, and my Casablanca fan hangs there, disused, with the wall-control unit pulled out, dangling by its wires, impossible to repair as it sits. I'm thinking the fan will make a great boat-anchor, if I can just buy the boat.
