If I could leave a zero, I would. Things with the company went fine, until they owed me royalties. I asked twice annually (as contemplated in the contract) for them to honor the publishing agreement we signed. Robert Bassett responded with: "You are the most disgusting and petty person with a zero conscience, with no regard to how people could be affected by your actions. How could you sleep or relax after doing such vile things? I doubt if you have any remorse after any wrongdoings. We regret helping such an ungrateful piece of [censored] like you. First you come to us to publish your book. After you gain that privilege, you turn around and badger us. When that doesn't work, you stoop lower. How dare you blackmail us! All that over a few dollars! Get lost! Go vent out your life's frustrations and anger somewhere else. Remember, what goes around comes around.

Robert"

I am a first time author. Alex White, my author guide, was simply just incredible! I really enjoyed communicating with her twice each week. Alex, a true professional with class, made me feel like a family member of CaryPress. Thank you Alex, as my dream has come true, this was a wonderful publishing experience! It was also a great pleasure communicating with her team. I am also looking forward to the marketing of my book. CaryPress, the outstanding publishing company that cares about your success! I will highly recommend CaryPress!

CaryPress was a good ghostwriting and publishing experience for me. They patiently worked with me and corrected anything on their end. During the galley review process, as well as make my overall publishing experience a good one. There are other companies out there who use highly aggressive sales tactics on their authors. CaryPress never did that to me. Overall, they were helpful without being pushy or intrusive.

Did not like their lousy illustrations and lost $1800. We were not even in the illustration phase. I asked for samples and looked like they were drawn by a 3 year old. These companies are almost all the same. Say anything to get the money. I tried 5 or 6. Lost a lot of money and more importantly time. I finally went with IngramSpark. Companies like these basically accept, print and make available on Amazon etc. Createspace is another. Get your own illustrator if needed. If not excellent at the computer (you'll need to send everything in yourself), find or pay someone like I did.
