If I can I would give NO STARS!!! The worse experience of a car rental in the past 20 year in all of the countries we traveled!!! DO NOT GET A CAR FROM THEM!!! They charge for every little thing, literally! The clerk, was the most evil person we ever met, and he enjoyed when you were unsatisfied or miserable.
We had to pay extra 30 Euros for someone to come early when we were returning the car. They open at 8am even though there are earlier flights. They don't have a drop box, like everyone else where you leave the keys. There is no manager that you can talk to, even if you asked the clerk to call him, you will not speak to the manager directly. They refuse to talk to the customer.
When we returned the car, we had no idea, but our rims (all 4 of them) were stolen!! I am questioning if they were even there in first place. What if they got to the car we had and stole them themselves???
They charged us $50 per EACH, plastic cover cap, plus wanted to charge us $50 per EACH rim for processing the report (paper) and my husband somehow got out of that so they "only" charged us one report ($50). This is how your vacation can turn into misery and very unpleasant experience. I hope that they lose the business because they don't deserve to be in one and overcharge all those people…

CARWIZ has a lot of hidden charges which they will deduct from Credit card block amount. On the other hand, There support which has only email id to contact is ridiculous. For me, they did not replied for 10 days until I connected his CEO through linkedin. Eventhough that reply was of no use.

I will never recommend this car company.

SCAMMERS AVOID!!!!!!
Just returned from Crete and have been scammed by this company. On arrival was told our car had been upgraded and he made a point of saying it was new – it wasn't, lots of scratches and over 15k on clock. Checked vehicle over and added some more scratches to list, also fuel tank wasn't full, as per the policy it should have been. Went off had a lovely time, no issues what so ever with car so was confident there would be no problems at drop off – how wrong. Instantly the guy checking car walked straight over to front pointing out a large scrape that was right underneath the front bumper and could only be seen from laying on the ground – he didn't do this just instantly pointed to it when walking up. There was NO WAY this had happened during our rental and as we hadn't checked the underneath of the car at the beginning of rental didn't have a leg to stand on. After pointing this out all he was interested in was charging our card, saying you have UK insurance so no problem, he didn't even check the other side of car and just billed us for 鈧?20. Clearly, after a quiet season this "upgrade" car was a plant to get money from us and I'll lay money on the damage not being repaired and the next unsuspecting travellers getting the same treatment. Spoilt what was a lovely holiday and will NEVER use this company again!

We have just returned from holiday to Greece. After arriving at Athens airport we had to wait for our transfer to Carwiz depot. I read the instructions after booking the car hire so I was expecting a shuttle transfer to off the airpprt depot. Last year in Spain I used a different car rental company which was cheap and also based away from the terminal. So after waiting a couple of minutes Mr Dimitris came to collect us from the minibus area located outside the main terminal building. The drive to the Carwiz office took about ten minutes during which Mr Dimitris gave us few tips on what attractions to visit. After arriving at the depot I swiftly signed the paperwork. I have provided all the necessary information prior to our arrival so it only took us a couple of minutes to do the paperwork. We were presented with a lovely Citroen which has only done 14000 kilometres and looked quite new.
During our holiday we drove over eight hundred kilometres and the car didn't let us down.
I will definitely use Carwiz again.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have never written a review before but the experience I had with Carwiz has forced me to. My family and I arrived at Heraklion Airport in Crete having hired a car for 3 adults and 2 children. Having compared other car hire companies, Carwiz was the cheapest so we decided to go with them. It鈥檚 a mistake I won鈥檛 make in the future. Rental estate was off the airport despite saying it was onsite when I made the payment. A transfer bus was supposed to arrive every 5 minutes. 40 minutes later and we鈥檙e still there with 2 small children. Not ideal. We were then packing the mini-van up with the
Luggage and the driver started to drive off with the back door still being loaded and the side doors open. My wife almost fell out the van holding one of our children and some of the bags fell out the boot. When asked what on earth the driver was doing, she said she was tired. We finally arrived at the rental estate and there was a queue to get seen and when we finally did we were required to put a credit card down which I knew about when making the booking. Prior to arrival I checked the Carwiz website and it said they accepted American Express, which is the only credit card I have. They wouldn鈥檛 accept it and said I have to take out there insurance at a 鈥榬educed price鈥?of 鈧?0, which would cover the need for a deposit. I showed them their own website stating they accept American Express but they said 鈥渨ell that鈥檚 incorrect and you have no other choice but to pay for the insurance or find another car rental鈥? Again, not ideal at 2230hrs with 2 small children. This is similar to other reviews I鈥檝e just read. Spoke to the management and the way they spoke to us and treated us was appalling, something I鈥檝e never experienced before. We had no other choice but to pay it. Long story short, pay a little extra for a reputable car hire company. Don鈥檛 use these amateurs.

If I could award zero stars I would. Waited over 45 minutes with our five children for a shuttle bus to arrive at Athens Airport. Two other couples were also waiting and had to wait longer for the bus to take us and return.
The car provided had no luggage space, despite stating it had. Car was in poor condition, with scratches, dents, high mileage and clearly not taken care of.
CarWiz demanded a higher deposit than on the booking form, which we didn't have. Wouldn't allow payment by partners card or debit card (without additional 鈧?00 fee). Left with no option but additional insurance cost or seek new car hire company, which isn't viable in the location and after a 10 hour plus trip.
Cars AC struggles to keep car cool, and the engine had so little power it struggled to get up the Greek hills.
Staff in reception rude and only willing to do anything to obtain more money from you.
Booking agents uninterested in complaints, avoid.

Rented in Greece nearby Athens airport. Very terrible car. Got a car already had more than 82000km. Consume gas very fast. They also don't accept Amex credit card, so we were trying to use debit card. However, they said No. The only way to sort it out was paying nearly 200 euros insurance fees which is ridiculous!

STAY AWAY!!
First of all, they are not based in the airport but they come and collect you from there which is causing delays and misunderstanding as you have to call them first.

When you arrive in their office they have hidden fees and in the end they charge clients for non-existent damages in the vehicle.

Got a brand new car (in Croatia). No issues when the car was returned. There were some issues with double charging, but this was sorted out in the end.

Steer clear of this company, hired a car with them at Sarajevo airport, on returning the car, in exactly the same condition, they started running their hands along the underneath of the car. They claimed I had scratched the underneath. Shortly after returning home they charged 拢400 pounds to my credit card. I called them repeatedly asking for an Invoice detailing the charge so I could claim it back on my deposit insurance, they kept saying they would email it to me but I never received anything. Save yourself the hassle and avoid them like the plague!

Scam company, don鈥檛 be tricked by their cheap prices. They would find any scratch on the car while returning it although you did not do it (they found it under the car in my case?!), and charge you hundredths of euros for it. Stay away!

We were supposed to rent a car from
CarWiz in Downtown Sarajevo which never happened due to severe misscommunication but we were still charged for and 2 months later there is still no response to the claims.

We arrived to the specified address at 9, Br膷anska 17, and failed to find any sign of a rental company. We asked for help in an office next door and they told us that the office is permanently closed. We called the specified number and asked about where to pick up, the reply was at the airport. We went to the airport by bus. There was again no office of the rental car company. We called and now were told that they were waiting at Br膷anska since 9 and insisted that now they had cancelled our booking.
After already having spent over an hour and money for tickets we asked them to come to the airport.The agent finally arrived at 11, in the meantime the number was permanently busy or nobody was responding.
Upon walking to the car, he suddenly asked us to leave it cleaned after rental or else pay 10鈧? which was not agreed on anywhere in the booking, terms and conditions nor in the contract he had brought for the rental. Then they told us that there was a 700鈧?deposit of which there was as well no information in the booking and which our credit card limit would not allow. They refused to give us a hotspot to contact our bank and we agreed on cancelling the booking.
In general the contact and support we received from them was extremely unfriendly, with blaming us for not being at the right location and stealing their time.

Picked the car up in the dark, it was "examined" under mobile phone torchlight (held by the employee) who rushed around the car showing me the current faults (although, by the time I got there, he was on to the next bit). As it happens, on my drive from Zagreb to Rovinj, the plastic cover of the wing mirror fell off. I didn't realise this until I reached Rovinj and presume it was loose / poorly fitted. That cost me about 拢450.

On top of that, the online quote I received was about 拢79 plus 75 euros for it to be collected at Zagreb and dropped off in Dubrovnik. Well, I got charged 160 euros for that and, with all the extras they add on when they have you by the short and curlies (ie as you are collecting the car), circa 拢140 became nearly 拢400.

Crooks with so many hidden charges – beware!

Landed in Riga airport on 29th December where we were due to meet the Carwiz representative to start our booking made through rentalcars.com. We waited for an hour, they did not show up or answer their phones (we still can't contact them). Our New Year trip was spent without a hire car, and we still can't get a refund from them.

Carwiz are by far the worst car rental company ever. They are modern day crooks and should not be allowed to trade. Had a very expensive experience in Croatia with Carwiz that amounts to fraud. Avoid them!!

Very friendly car person, Anes, from Sarajevo, sent us the car with no problems, went thru the whole car with us and even helped us with the bags! When returning the car it was all hassle free and everything was over in 5 min. He even called to say he will be late. Very professional. Car was good, no problems even when driving on rocky ground.

STEER WELL AWAY
We picked the car up as it was getting dark, given a bit of paper with pre-printed damage, told to sign, told no need to check the car, it was all ok. Must of thought I had come down with the last shower, so asked where the car was, it was parked round the side with hardly any lighting, turned out to be a mess, took 20 minutes to log all the additional damage not recorded, but late on Sunday so no chance to get another car. Returned the car after our time in Dubrovnik and on the way back to the airport the tyre pressure warning light came on, got to the airport, tyre concerned was still inflated but told the rep anyway, who had a look and said I had damaged the tyre, even though it was still inflated, and even complained that the valve cap was missing, and said nothing could be done at the time, 7.30am on a Sunday, but would incur a 200Euro plus charge when it was checked over the next morning, which would come out of the security deposit on my credit card. Even if I had damaged it, with the brand of tyre on the car, you could have replaced all four for that price. HOW MANY TIMES HAVE THEY TRIED THIS SCAM ON OTHER PEOPLE? Car Hire firms like this should be done for fraud, and give the business a bad name. Will use a reputable well known firm next time. 28/10/2019

Totally spoiled the start of our family holiday waisted two hours trying to work out the continual added costs . Staff must be on bonus as charges just seemed to pile up . Waited to get served to pick up the pre booked car 1.5hrs . Kept being interrupted by other very unhappy customers who had flights to catch home and need to get car checked in . Everyone returning and collecting the cars were angry for some reason or another . Staff were down right bullies and arrogant
They took 2k from us as a deposit in case car returned damaged ! That鈥檚 a joke as both cars were damaged already . By this time we had lost all trust and made video of both cars and damage made them watch while I did it . No customer service down right rude shouting at customers told one guy to shut up and wait ! Bad experience when we arrived and bad experience when we brought back the cars .

We had a great experience with Carwiz picked up at Chania airport met Costa and Yannis both very helpful at pick up and drop off, took us to the airport for our flight. We're very pleased and would use again. Car in good condition no problems at all. And great price..

No one met me as per instructions and the local contact number given rang out the first time, hanged up the second time and rang out the third time. Gave up after that and went with a in airport company, price was actually cheaper.

The whole proccess with this company is basically reminding of a real-life Ryanair payment page.

Do you want insurance (Despite already having it?)? Do you want to overpay for taking the car on a ferry? Do you want to be overcharged for assistance you already have? Blah blah blah

Then, they deliver a damaged car. I made a video of the damaged car. Then asked the employee to write down the damage (rear bumper).

They then claim the broken reflector piece (part of the rear bumper) is not considered "part of the rear bumper" in the delivery paper and proceed to charge 375鈧?on the card for a damage that I am 1000% sure I didn't do (like many others before here).

Innitiating a dispute with Amex and AutoEurope. Crooks.

Rented a car in Crete using Argus received a dirty car and had literally worst experience I've ever had. Halfway through the journey check engine, low tyre pressure lights appeared. Representatives refused to deal with a car rental agency and have taken no action to prevent this happening in the future.

This agency and employees will do everything they can to make you pay money for nothing. We hired a car in Crete, Chania, with this agency. THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! They will do anything ti rip you off! we booked the car online with full coverage, as usual.
When we got there(City center Chania) the agent, said that we do not have full coverage and we have to pay an extra 60 euros. Fortunately I print everything I book and receive on email when we go on a holliday, so we said no to that.
A young girl (20-25 years) took us to the car to check it and take pictures. The car was fuuuuull of scratches from an end to another. it look horrific! we took some pictures as well. when we said : ''look there is another strach here, please take a picture'', she was very angry and rude to us.
we had the car for 3 days, and we drove extremely carefull.
When we took the carback, it was dark outside. It was the same lady who came out to chek it. It lokked very suspicious when she turned her phone light one and went straight to a certain part of the car, and she said , look there is a scract here, that wasn't before. we looked on the pictures that we took , when we rented the car, and guess what! the scract was there from the begining. then she went to another specific part of the car and she showed us another one. Unfortunately, we didn;t had a picture on our phone with that part of the car.
She argued with us and threatened us and asked us to pay for a 2 cm light scracth, that it might have been there all along, 300 euros! She even lied , that if we don't pay it, she will have to pay it from her salary.
This event got us really upset.
From the begining to the end they were set to charge us more money for nothing!!!!
