There should be a different (worse than 1 star) rating system on Trustpilot for SCAM websites. I purchased Cartsavvybunnies "Titan Heavy Duty Sneakers"…. Ahaha, What A Joke… but the joke's on me. I laughed at myself and my kids laughed at me for getting suckered in by the advertisement! The shoes are pitched as;
1- "MILITARY-GRADE DURABILITY 鈥?Comes with a built-in steel head to protect your toes from collision. Won鈥檛 budge and hurt your feet even when hit by heavy objects." …TOTALLY NOT TRUE… I thought this would mean steel toe-cap, but there is no steel whatsoever in them (checked with a big rare-earth magnet) and the toe is flimsier than the thinnest canvas sneakers… no more toe protection than flip-flops!!!! NONE!!!
2- "NON-SLIP DENSE SOLE 鈥?Made of durable and heavy duty sole which can鈥檛 be pierced by any sharp object." …TOTALLY NOT TRUE… my SLIP-ON VANS have better quality and more durable soles… again, no more puncture protection than cheap flip-flops!!!! You could poke a ball-point pen right through the sole by hand!
3- These SCAMMERS say "risk-free ironclad 45 day guarantee", but the shoes were ordered end of May and arrived (from China) mid-August. They say the guarantee was from the date of purchase but it took 75 days for delivery so they are not honouring the "guarantee" lol.
CONCLUSION- It's not all bad as I have taken it to VISA who will be refunding my money, but more importantly, I learned (yet another) a valuable lesson about making purchases from Instagram. These were clearly going to be rubbish… it was a nice idea to get some "high quality" safety sneakers/trainers, but that was all in my mind, not in reality at all. Caveat Emptor- Buyer Beware.
