CarTrawler are an absolute disgrace please do not use this company save your money and spend it with somebody else. They have stolen my money for a Car hire service I could not even use and was cancelled.

Please do not use CarTrawler
Our holiday was cancelled due to COVID and all the flights cancelled but CarTrawler will not refund our deposit even though we cancelled within the deadlines.
They say they have provided a refund but they don't actually refund. They lie to you to make you go away thinking it is being sorted, but they have no intention of repaying the money.
Please don't book with them

Found out this shower were the third link in the chain of a bad experience on booking car hire and subsequently car refund due to airline cancellation and civid-19.
They were quick to point out contact number on their documentation which incidentally I still have not located their web site on customer contact is very poor and does not allow you quick contact deceive work is required to reach the source who are quick to shear responsibility under their cancellation policy. Result never use them again.

I booked a return airport transfer in Mexico. Arriving in the airport there was no driver (as promised) and the emergency customer service did not answer. The next day I contacted the emergency number again, and was told that I should just get a refund. This has not happened yet.

My return transfer to the airport was late, and made no apology and was driven by a sub-contractor.

Avoid them at all cost if you can. I am surprised Emirates would partner with a company that offers a poor service and customer experience.

I booked a flight to Dubai which was delayed and in attempting to rebook the pickup, the pickup was instead cancelled and I was informed I could not get a refund as this was less than 24 hours before the pickup time.

I had booked pickup from the airport and from the hotel in 7 days but they cancelled both pickups. I should have read the reviews before booking but in my eyes this is fraudulent.

Avoid at all cost.

I am aware of that, i have contacted my bank and the Will take it from here. You are the informant of this rental deal, You have made me pay for two insurance now, im not happy, i Will never use You Again and i Will make sure the World Will know it to. Thank You for your corporation. Btw i dont need This service. You make me pay twice, You misinform. I wasnt gonna get any car without paying, what to do standing There with and angry Greek woman!!!! This is going social for cheating a customer and now You telling me what the deal says? It didnt tell That i have to pay twice. Fix IT now its not my problem!!!!!!!

I Booked a car with cartrawler, I thought it was with Dollar car rental, as all emails I got, was from Dollar e-mails.

When i got to FLL airport to get my rental, I was asked to pay an additional 379 dollars. I refused as this was not written anywhere in the agreement i got.

The clerk at Dollar told me to call Cartrawler, to get a refund, which i did, and they brushed me off saying I should talk to Dollar about this issue. Dollar refused to refund me, as they told me that cartrawler did not pay them.

I called cartrawler back, and they asked med to create a dispute on their website.

I did, and i said that i would get a reply within 5-7 days. This is now 15 days since, and i have not heard from them, nor gotten my prepayment back.

They stole my money and tried to cheat me of more money in the airport.

I will never would want anyone to have the same experience as me. So pls. dont use them to book a car.

SCAMMERS hiding behind nice looking website and an illusion of customer service.

Booked a car in the morning for the next day. The transaction failed to go through. They say in small print that if that happens they will re-book again. I read the small print so waited the whole day. At 11pm there was no email, no voucher, nothing from them. So I booked another car as my flight was in the morning. And here is the funny bit: 11:50 pm they booked the car for me! And took the payment, even though I complained and cancelled and did all I could, just hours before my flight. Nothing worked – they took the payment for two cars!!! Communication with them is a real struggle. They say they will contact you within 48 hours which obviously doesn't happen.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE A SCAM. It says on their website that it has 5 stars with Trust Pilot, which is a flat out lie, not surprised since they have a bunch of other lies on the website as well.

It said that we could book without a credit card, but that they would just put a deposit on our debit card for $300, which was fine since we knew we would get it back. Wrong. At the counter when we went to pick up the car, they told us that we did need a credit card, and when we cancelled they told us it would take about 3 business days for the funds to be returned. After contacting customer support, they advised us that it will take up to 30 days instead. Then a few days later after that we got an email stating that basically they feel they did nothing wrong, and that they will not be refunding us our money.

So you're telling me that you're keeping my $300 deposit for a car that we didn't even rent? This company is a scam, not sure how they're even still a company.

False advertising – NOT free cancellation of car rental
Booked a car via Norwegian, and it was done via CarTrawler. It clearly stated on the website, that there was free cancellation up until 24 hrs.

NOT SO. I am trying to cancel my reservation now, 10 days before. THEY ARE CHARGING ME 拢48!

Illegal advertising. Will never use them again. Nor Norwegian car rental

Update – changed from 1 to 2 stars – after tweeting and FB msg them, they CXL my booking, no charge.

CAUTION, this is an Scheme and they op茅rate as while label in different airlines websites, such as WOWAIR.
Although they promote it鈥檚 free cancellation, I am triunf贸 to cancel my Reservation, but once you enter on 鈥淢y Booking area鈥?(the only way they say you can cancel it), you cannot find anywhere to do it. More than that, I have searched for a phone contact and they don鈥檛 disclose any.

CAUTION 2: in the small letters, they say you MUST bring a printed version of your confirmation (what??), otherwise you will be charged in the desk a fee!!
This Wasn鈥檛 told during the Booking process, neither in the email confirmation. I Just saw it in the website when I was trying to find the way to cancel the booking.

I haven鈥檛 even started the rental, but the pre-experience has been the Worst so far.

Absolutely terrible.
Customer service costs you a fortune (waiting time are enormous), but you do need to wait since they do reply to emails (5 emails to different addresses). Prices appear low, but you end up paying a lot of money anyway for the car. Waiting time to get the car was 2 and an half hours.

Looks cheap – but please spend a bit more and have a good first start of your holiday, instead of a terrible one.

We booked a car online through a website which stated that no credit card was needed, however upon booking confirmation it stated that one was. We then clicked the link to cancel the booking, on the Easi Rebt website however it stated that we could not cancel online and needed to get hold of customer service which we tried to do however they did not answer their phone. We then cancelled directly through the rental company hertz. The website booking stated that the booking could be cancelled up to seven days after reservations. A few days later I had the full amount taken from my bank account by a third company, Car trawler. I sent a message and called and was told the booking was cancelled and they would look into my refund and have just been sent an email stating hat no refund will be given and no proper justification for this was given. Absolute day light robbery.
