Deserve 0 stars! Terrible experience took 3.5 months and 4 different appointments ( they called me 4 different times to schedule appointments and then cancelled last minute) to get my carport installed… Act like your money is no good… 3.5 months and $3200??? These numbers do not add up!

16 weeks later, I'm sitting here after a reschedule and no one has called or anything. The incompetence is utterly amazing,I would not recommend this company to ANYONE looking to get a metal building.

I ordered a carport from Carolina carports, it took them almost 60 days to come install it. When they did, the installer said they forgot to load some of the material but if I let them install the material they had with them that day that they would be back the following week to finish it . I said ok. It鈥檚 been 5 weeks and no one has come to finish the job. When I call all I get is a runaround. Looks like we are headed to court. PLEASE stay away from this company, it is nothing but a rip off. Order from someone else

With the exception of one rescheduled appointment (which I was not happy with)
Garcia Installations showed up and knocked it out.
If your looking for a super air tight building for winters in Alaska then this is not for you. You will have air gaps, yes the doors are cheap but honestly for the money I spent I could not have done a stick build shell for the same amount.
Did I know what I was buying? Yes
Am I pleased with the over all transaction?
Yes.
Install Crew did a great job.

We had our metal building installed in November of 2019 and the roof has leaked ever since. They have sent repair crew on three different occasions after waiting for months to fix the leaks and they still aren't fixed. I've asked for the roof to be replaced and they said they would not. Their latest crew advised us to request a new roof. After three attempts you think they would want to remedy the situation. I also learned they have multiple complaints through the BBB. Additionally, they are a foreign owned company. I wished I would have done my homework and went with an American Corporation but my dealer did not let me know it was Carolina Carports who manufactured my building. I now have to seek legal action to get a new roof. Very unhappy!!!!

this company is horrible. has been telling me for 4 months they were coming to repair my garage doors that have never worked since installation. no one answers or calls back. if you get a representative they tell you how sorry they are and that you are top priority and someone will be there soon. then another month goes by and no repair crew

鈥淏uyers Beware鈥?I鈥檓 in dispute with them to fix this disaster of a RV Cover.
The workmanship on my building on a scale of 1-10 is a 1.
The crew that put it up showed absolutely no pride in their work.
The frame most likely is not squared and plum because the metal appears to run downward which caused it to be 3鈥?longer on the top.
Screw placement it sloppy and inconsistent. The braces for the Vertically installed panels have large gaps and horrible to look at.
Now I鈥檓 being told they will be sending out the same crew that hacked this job up.
They鈥檙e ridiculous to work with! I am definitely wishing I鈥檇 went with another company.
If they don鈥檛 get it right soon they can come take it and haul it away, I鈥檒l get a court order claiming they dumped trash on my Property!

Don't buy from Carolina Carports, they don't stand behind their buildings. Leaking roof after 1 year and only has 1 year warranty. Garage doors suck, won't open and close well and get stuck. Will not recommend them to anyone.

Critical: Professionalism
I purchased a metal garage from Alan's Factory Outlet who apparently subbed the job out to this company known as Carolina Carports, Inc. [For the record, when Alan of Alans's Factory Outlet finally heard about my complaint, he went way beyond the call of duty to satisfactorily remedy the situation which I am writing about here in this review; therefore, in no way should Alan's company be adversely viewed–Alan is a 'stand-up' guy with great principals!] When they (Carolina Carports,Inc) came to my home to install my garage, the installer had forgotten to bring 4 windows which went with my building. Accidents happen, and that is not the problem I have with this outfit. In general they did a nice job except for one rear corner where they ruined the entire piece of siding by butchering some type of horrible metal cutting work–this was not necessary with even the slightest of care about how my job looked. Now I am stuck with an ugly sharp jagged shard and edge with is rusting and just waiting to slice someones foot who ventures near not realizing the danger. Furthermore, when the installer came back about 3 months later to install the 4 missing windows, they brought with them a very bad abusive attitude blaming me for some reason. While here they began to dismantle my building in an aggressive manor until I asked them to just leave the windows with me to install myself. They did just that, and conveniently left my once newly constructed building falling apart with screws removed all my driveway. I am very disturbed about all of this; when I emailed to discuss these issues with the company, all I got was a lady named Heather Smith ridiculing me that why am I bothering them essentially. I have attached a photo of the sharp jagged ripped metal which their installer did and left like that. Heather said the garage is now out of the warranty period, but that she would drop off a new piece of siding for me to do myself; and at no time offered me any apology for the behavior of their contractor, or the terrible siding cut which they had left. Heather has had an anti-customer lousy attitude with me from the gitgo, and its funny sometimes how abusive lousy attitudes seem to permeate through the particular organization as a whole.

To start I was never told they were a non local company until after we signed the contract. Then they never told me there was a onsite inspection fee of $200 so I had no choice on getting it looked at. Then they were trying to make me get the permit which is against the ordinance in KS, MO. I was hollered at and treated like I was stupid. My dad ended up so stressed he had to go to the Dr about his heart and he is 70. I took the project of a simple 20×20 upgraded carport over to relieve the stress from my dad. After months of then failing to not give the proper information to the township to pass permitting, we finally got a permit. They sent the crew out and the vehicle broke down and had to come the next day. When they showed up they did not have the permit with them and to find out the site wasn鈥檛 to the guys liking (which we would have known if we had the choice to have someone come out). Now this is a brand new slab of concrete. It was designed to have run off so my elderly parents would not slip on ice. So back to the drawing board of months of townships requests to pass another permit for just higher legs so they could cut off and level what they needed. I was told like 3 times how the supervisor did not think this was possible ? Anyway, they tell me they were coming the 6th in the afternoon and 7th in the morning if they couldn鈥檛 finish. The crew never showed never called the 6th so I called CC to find out where the crew was. They had no idea they never showed up and was calling to find out where they were. Mind you day two of taking off of work. After calling them again to try to find some updates after 12noon they told me the they would call again and the crew was in route to our home. The crew was the nicest group of guys. The best about this entire project! They asked us a few questions and told us what they had to do to make it level and 4 hours later they were driving out the driveway. The cutting was not a problem at all like CC was making it out to be. So I was charged a restocking fee of $200 for the other material which wasn鈥檛 my fault they couldn鈥檛 use, and then they charged me $175 for extra legs of material which understand that, then $75 for the guys to cut off material. It took 13 stressful months of pushing, calling, listening to lies and degrading comments to get the carport my parents wanted. If I were you I would RUN. RUN as far away as you can unless you are local to them so you can show up face to face with this company.

This is my second purchase from them, both times I was told the same lies when it came to scheduling, 1st call they will say they screwed up the schedule and second call they will say the truck broke down, when they finally showed up at my house it was the next morning after they said they would be there, which cost me a half days pay because I took off work to wait for them and they never showed, then they just show up the next morning the only day of the week i get a chance to sleep in, and they were at my gate at 8am, no call, no nothing, they have no respect for any ones time and do NOT care about their customers!

Paid our deposit in August 19 and was told 4-6 weeks. Finally the first week in October I was told I had to send a picture of my slab before they could add me to the 4-6 week list. Then the 2nd week in November I was told Monday would be the install date but on Friday is was moved to Thursday. Then on Thursday I was told it wouldn't be until the afternoon and then in the afternoon I was told it would be the following Monday. Well they showed up Monday, thankfully but were 2 hours late. Once installed it looked great but I would never use them again. Terrible.

We purchased a building, it was constructed at the beginning of August '2019 and on August 5, 2019 I called as we have a roof leak. They told us they would be there the 3rd week in August, never showed or called. I called numerous times only to be told they are trying to get a crew to come by to fix the leak. We are now over 2 months down the road, are being held up from moving forward with blown insulation in the ceiling all because of their lies, deception, false promises, no shows and the list goes on. Last week I called and ask to speak with the Company Owner and was told, "she doesn't talk to customers…that is what she has Managers to do". This company is horrible. Look at their BBB profile. So many complaints…just wish I had of looked at it before I purchased the building. But, the dealer we purchased it from is a great company, but they have no control over these fools that own and run this company. Beware of this circus that is full of foolish clowns. I hate for someone to be put in the position we are currently in. And to think we spent in excess of $23,500 to be treated like this. I know that a warranty with this company is not ever going to be honored should we experience integrity issues with the building, which is even more concerning. If I could take the building down, dump it all in front of their business and get a full refund I would in a heartbeat. Please do yourself a favor, go elsewhere for a building company if you are in the market for one.

The building itself is of better than average quality. The problem is with the sub-contractors they use for installation and service follow-up.
My building roof has leaked from the day they installed it. They have sent two different crews and the roof still leaks. It's been 9 months and my roof still leaks.
There have to be better options out there – keep looking.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED – VERY MISLEADING.
To begin, we were lied to about dates for installation several time. Finally showed up on Wednesday night at 11:00 PM – the night before Thanksgiving. From the outside the carport "looked" good but obviously was poorly installed. In April a small wind in a thunderstorm literally picked the carport up and of course was destroyed along with a NEW car only 6 months old. The ONLY response from Carolina… "turn in on your homeowners". This VERY misleading according to the advertisement for warranty against "wind" and this was a SMALL wind and no other damage even close. THINK before using Carolina.

Worst company I have ever dealt with, way too many problems and issues to type it all out. Crew didn't have drawings, put 3 doors on the wrong side of the building, locksets on doors didn't operate, roof leaked in 2 places, threw trash from building in the woods behind my house, took 6 months to get a crew back, now it leaks worse than before, they screwed roof with a drill motor, no clutch, split all the rubber washers. Do not buy from them!

The Worst
Garbage company
If you live down south in the heat your garage will leak like a sieve.
They tightened the roofing screws to tight, all the rubber washers are broken or dry rotted.
Save your hard earned $$$$
Run away fast
They have illegals working for them.

I bought a 24鈥檟26鈥?garage with 10鈥?eave height and I am extremely satisfied with the product. At the time I purchased this I had not read the dozens of bad reviews. When I read them I was worried. Yes they did reschedule and the scheduling process is frustrating. However the dealer I bought from was up front with me and told me in advance that frequently weather has an effect on scheduling. He also told me it may take 6 weeks to 90 days for the install. This helped me understand when it happened! That all being said, the building is of great quality and will serve me for many years to come and was at a great price! I would do it again!

Save yourself from a bad experience and buy elsewhere. Can't believe Richard Petty would be associated with this fraud called Carolina Carports . Their agent takes the down payment( not refundable) and reports your building will be installed in five weeks. Three months later no structure. When you call, they respond "we do not know when we will be able to do the installation." Excuses include there was a holiday, someone got sick, one of our installers got hurt, not enough sales in your area to schedule a trip , and the list goes on. This is not just a bad business they are a con artist .
