CarMax

I should have ignored the suggestion "you should see what carmax will give you". Been here twice, will never return. I will never waste my time for an appraisal. First car, They offered me I believe it was $11,000 for a meticulous perfect mustang. I sold that same mustang for $19,800. Like an idiot I wasted my time now having them price my replacement vehicle from the mustang. This is an exotic truck that is not affordable by the average vehicle buyer. Once again meticulously maintained, perfect condition, beautiful vehicle. Pristine. Single and only owner. Carmax tried to tell me the vehicle had possibly been in an accident but couldn't prove it. Wow really? Pointed out screws that may have been tightened or touched. Well The owner of the dealer of which I purchased the vehicle brand new from for over $69k wasn't happy to hear that false and inaccurate claim from the carmax minimum wage employee. Flagship Vehicle. Pristine. Carmax is ripping people off buying cars and If they can't sell it on their lot, they will sell it at auction for more money than they paid you. Local Dealers and re sellers go to the carmax auctions to buy the cars from carmax to re sell them at a profit. Who's being ripped off? The poor customer that goes there to sell them their vehicle. Carmax has to pay their land lease for these huge lots and to keep those blue/yellow shirt employees standing around with benefits. Indeed salary info for carmax:

"The average CarMax salary ranges from approximately $25,458 per year for Salesperson to $184,083 per year for Location Manager. Average CarMax hourly pay ranges from approximately $8.00 per hour for Car Sales Executive to $24.25 per hour for Service Consultant".

Benefits, land lease, wages and salaries at carmax = don't waste your time with an appraisal.

I made $13,500 more by selling my 2nd vehicle myself vs giving it away to carmax. First one, $8,800 for a grand total of $22,300! That amount is a brand new car, or even a nice usedcar… $22,300 what a joke I hope carvana continues to take from their pie. Never again.

Stay as far away as you can from this Dealership!

While I am a little perturb about the situation I am currently in. I may say the the sales people that handled my purchase online and in the store have done a wonderful job at getting the truck that I wanted in to the store from another Carmax in Indiana. While in the store on Friday the 29th of May I Purchased my truck. When filling out the documents for the truck the sales person forgot to mention a little recall my truck has. One for the cruise control that gets stuck and another for the tail gate that has a part which may fall off if not looked at. It wasn't until the person handling the finance told me about it. They made it sound like it was nothing too bad and I could take it to any dodge dealership and they would fix it. (pretty sure if I wanted to take part of my day off work and redo my personal schedule to fix a pre existing problem on the truck I'm purchasing, I would have just purchased new) But Here I am.

Now here comes the good part! (sarcasm)

I get into my 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 and the the truck makes a loud noise behind the wheel well on the truck and the touch screen is stuck in a double screen rendering it useless. I thought maybe it was a fluke. Sine you know… Car Max says they do a big inspection (something like a 120 point inspection) But I turned the truck off and on and it wounds worse every time and the screen is still stuck. I am told on Saturday that the service department does not operate on the week end. So I go with out a radio and a back up screen or anything to do with the touch screen. This is just the beginning.

Now on Monday the 1st of June I get told that my truck would not take that long to fix. I told them I can't wait around. I have a job and need a rental. SO they give me a run down Van that smells like dogs lived in it. At this point I just want my truck fixed so I take the rental. Now Tuesday rolls around and I'm told my truck is fixed. I go pick up my truck and drive it home after work.

Wednesday the 3rd of June I get into my truck to find my screen again in the same situation. At this point I am highly disappointed in not getting the situation rectified. To top it off I find that my door was not locked. I try my key Fob to try to lock it and neither the passenger door or driver door lock with the key Fob. It only locks the two back doors, meaning every night when I locked my truck it has never been secured when locking it.

Sunday 7th of June I had no choice but to go into the store again to get the key fob fixed and the lock mechanism fixed. Also get the split screen fixed again on the console of my truck. During each moment that the truck has had this happen on the screen I have made videos and pictures with time stamps with my watch in from of it so that they can see that it has been happening and sent it to their email. So they can see them. The email Belongs to Judy one of the service people that works there. Which is really nice might I add.
(side note: They did fix the loud noise behind my wheel well. They said something was loose so they had to tighten it up.)

Tuesday 9th of June Radi the Service manager calls me and lets me know that they can't replicate the issue of the screen. But they have sent it over to Commonwealth Dodge to get the issue fixed. I tell him that I have sent numerous pictures of the screen and videos that I have made of the screen through out the day. To check Judys email so he can see what I am talking about. On this same day I am told they had to replace the whole wires that lock the doors to my truck. I don't know if its fixed since I have not seen my truck.

TODAY SUNDAY 28TH OF JUNE…..

Today marks the 21st days since my truck has been in service for the touch screen which I've been told is on Order with Commonwealth. Also Sarah is at the wonderful associate that has been tasked with calling me intermittently through the week to let me know the part has not come in to the dealership for them to fix it. There is also no ETA on when the part would be in. Dodge so they can completely replace the whole thing since its broken. I have been patient for 21 days.

But put yourself in my shoes. I don't have a product that I paid for and have been driving a loaner that they have provided. If I wanted to drive a loaner I would have just went out and leased a car and purchased one.
Instead I came to your lot to get a Quality product that has been broken since day one!

Purchased a BMW 535gt xdrive which Carmax claimed no accidents and showed through Autocheck. Also the car passed their inspection. Given that I am not an expert I trusted Carmax. After 1 year I learnt the Car had multiple accidents including damage to the roof from Carfax. Terrible customer disclosure…had to pay 36k for this vehicle knowing that it did not have an accident…

Contacted the business multiple times and nothing to solve the issue. They have not even contacted me for an apology.

Buyers be aware this is a true story. It has been almost 2 years and was not able to get even a response from them.

ITS THE LAW…10 BUSINESS DAYS TO RECEIVE/PAY YOUR BILL! The purchase and one time service, follow up was a joke; but our bill is always 5 days out until the payment is due. Spoke with 3 carmax employees and wrote twice. Cover yourself and write about receiving your late payment. It's not legal, and Carmax knows about it.

Right before COVID-19 started, I bought a luxury car at Carmax.
Carmax did the financing and took care of everything to make sure that the deal is made.
Everyone were so nice, I felt like I got a good deal and that I did business with a great company.

Like The majority of the world, I too suffer financially from COVID-19 circumstances. I lost my company and my income.

I had called Carmax asking for their help due to the situation.
I offered to return the vehicle, since I just got it a few weeks ago.
I offered to reduce the interest charges or the get some discount for the car, to be able to lower my monthly payments.
To my surprise instead of helping me they said no to everything I suggested and are trying to make more profit on my expense.
Each and every single solution I was offered involved me paying more money which does not help at all with the current situation.

All creditors have been nothing but supportive with their clients during these tough times. All banks, credit card companies, even private lenders are doing the very best they can to assist their clients go through this pandemic.

I must say I am amazed, insulted and I even feel humiliated somewhat.
I feel bullied by the company that I trusted and did business with. A company who is trying to present itself as a company for the people. I now realize that Carmax is nothing but a coldhearted corporation who would do anything and would hurt anyone to make an extra dime.

This is not the behavior of a community service driven company!

Sincerely,

I traded in my 2013 Hyundai Elantra (that I loved) and began to finance a Infiniti QX60 from the Waukesha, WI carmax location. When I first got the car, the car would not start on day 10!!! I took it to a separate car shop who then replaced the battery! I paid almost $300 for that! I had to replace the windsheild wipers also because Carmax did not! Also, the car was driving shaky and having problems going up the slightest hills. Me being a 20 year old female that knows nothing about cars, I thought nothing of it since Carmax has a "Carmax guarantee" and "checks all cars". About 34 days after me initially driving the car off the Carmax lot, the car stopped accelerating in the middle of traffic. I took it in to Carmax where an service associate told me "Infinit is covering the transmission because they knew it was bad". They then took about 3 days to transfer it less that a mile away to the Infinit Dealership. Due to the COVID-19 I am currently Furlough, I've had to turn down multiple job opportunities due to the uncertain car situation. Carmax in Waukesha offered me to trade cars for a different one on the lot, however every car I've inquired about the APR and monthly car note sky rocketed!!! When I got the car back from Carmax a week later, I drove it for 3 days when the gas pedal got stuck in the pushed in position!!! I was driving on the highway and the car was accelerating on it's own with the car reaching almost 95 miles per hour!!!! I then took the Infinit in to carmax and left it there over the weekend due to me not wanting to drive in this death trap! I would really appreciate if I could get my old car back because I want NOTHING to do with this deathtrap Infiniti or Carmax!!!

There was no way Carmax fixed this car or even looked over it with all these problems and I havent even had the car for two months yet!

I gave this a 5 star for couple of reasons but my main one is the service and patience and knowledge I got from some employe by the name Tomas AKA tommy ortiz. Man did he gave us one of the best customer experience I've ever had and made me feel comfortable and never pressured us and worked right with our budget. I definitely recommend ya asking for him cause he understands and listen to what exactly what we need ..thanks again tommy you were awesome and were for sure will tell our friends and family about going to carmax in Hartford ct ..

I bought a car 3 months ago thru CarMax autofinancing. 2 weeks ago i had a accident and my insurance company has stated car as total loss. They gave me 2 option, to keep the vehicle and to pay CarMax value of car before accident – salvage value = 3221$ Or they want pay to carmax 4500$+ and they keep the vehicle. I choosed the option 1. But talking with CarMax about a option to use that check of 3221$ to repair the car, they told me that if i want to keep the vehicle i have to pay 7000$+ (remaining balance of the lease) When i asked them where is that stated in the contract, that they are allowed to request full amount in upfront if i have any damages on car, they put me on hold for 1h30min and transfered me over 2 departments in that time. At the end i was talking with "supervisor" and she "explained me" that it is stated in their internal policy which is not available on their website neither do in my contract/paperwork that i got from them. She said that i never signed and never was awared of that, and i dont need to sign something like that but i cannot get access to my car if i dont pay 7000+$ in upfront. Now i have to hire the lawyer and to go on court with this company while my car is not in my possession and im still paying monthly rate for car and for insurance. Im using my car to work for UberEATS, DoorDash , PostMate. I cannot work , and i have to pay car in one week! Again, i never was awared that they are allowed to request payment in upfront remaining balance if i have ANY damages on the car, even if that is a total loss (i have already ordered parts to make car drive able) I NEVER SIGNED SOMETHING AS THAT, I NEVER WOULD! These information are not available ANYWHERE on the date 20. February 2020. ! I dont know how that can be legal ! Im considering this as heavy fraud !

ontracts about buying a car are long, but there is NEITHER THE ONE section talking about that they have law right to do this. I dont understand why they acted as this in my situation because i would keep paying my monthly rate and after my lease is over, title of the car would be mine as the car ofc. So it is not really matter for them in what condition car would be. But i cannot accept that there is some "INTERNAL POLICY" where customer is not awared of anything what is in there and it is affecting the whole contract that i have signed with them. Why we are signing the contract anyway ?? when they can write whatever they want in their "INTERNAL POLICY"

I bought a 2016 Honda Pilot there and I should of brought someone with me with mechanics experience because I'm not even sure if they look over any of those cars. Because I need new tires and a serpentine belt and the passenger side door moulding is loose. But I just want new tires put on it. I had the dealership I work at look over my car. Then I call them to tell them. They give me an appointment for a month from the date I bought it. I said I don't think I can wait a month for new tires. I knew it was going to snow and the roads were going to be icy. So I'm afraid that I'll be stuck buying the stuff I need. Would I buy another car there again, probably not. I really do love my new car though.

Last month I needed a car for my college-age daughter.

We spent a few nights searching on Cars.com, Carvana and several other sites. Ultimately, we visited our local CarMax lot. It was a Saturday afternoon and the weather was good, so they were packed with shoppers. So much so, that being as we did not have an appointment we had to wait 45 minutes for a salesperson to free up.

The time was well spent checking out their large selection of cars and SUVs so when the sales person became available, we settled on a list of 3 cars. Unfortunately, due to the volume of shoppers, our test drive for the day was limited to two. As we were still trying to decide on which car to buy, we returned the following day to try our third choice. At no time did we feel the pressure to buy, and the salesperson (Geoff) was both knowledgeable and friendly.

Long story short, We decided on a Hyundai Elantra and after a search of the CarMax website we found the perfect one (2 years old and just 17K miles). CarMax transported the car in for free and after a quick test drive we purchased the car. We provided our own financing and declined an extended warranty, but it made no difference in the service that we received.

All in all, a good experience and at a price lower than Carvana and all of the local dealers that we searched. Basically, they lived up to their commercials.

Lauren Harmon, Business Officer Manager in Kenner, Louisiana, deserves a promotion. She took so much additional time to handle my nuanced title scenario. She even wrote down every single step that I needed to take in order to properly be able to sell the car to them since the title originated in my parents鈥?names. She then coordinated with the Franklin, Tennessee office to make sure that I received the proper documentation. You鈥檙e amazing!

I don't even want to give them a star. The location in Tampa, Florida off bearss and Nebraska ave. they are horrible. I bought a car last November and have had nothing but problems with it ever since. I had also purchased a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty. They wouldn't even replace my battery or tires. I bought a new battery, four new tires, replaced the brakes and fixed the back windshield wiper. The ac also quit working and the radio. Now I'm having problems with the alternator but they can't fix that because I have to buy another battery. They want $350 just to replace the battery. I am also supposed to have a rental car in the meantime while they fix my car but I've been 2 weeks without anything. I have to pay for my own rental car. What was the point in the warranty if they don't do their end. All I got was a 2011 Chevy Traverse. Really it's not a 2020 BMW or something. I don't advise anyone buying a vehicle from them. It's the holiday season who has money like that anyways. We have 5 kids under the age of 10 in our house. We need a vehicle and not to be raped of money we don't have. I am very disappointed in the company. I don't recommend them to anyone.

I completed an online approval and was approved, selected terms and drove 2.5 hours to get the vehicle. Once I arrived, the salesman claimed he couldn鈥檛 find the car. After he did find it, the car had unadvertised damage, poor body shop work, dings and scratches that could have been fixed and the car was dirty. The salesman claimed that it met 鈥渃armax standards鈥?Well, it didn鈥檛 meet my standards, and I felt duped. After complaining to the sales manager and having him tell me that I could have just shipped it and waited 10 days to come 2 hours away, he offered to fill my gas tank for wasting my time, gas and mileage on my trad vehicle for a poorly presented car. Buyer beware if you can鈥檛 see it in person at a local store.

my purchase of a Carmax vehicle has been the WORST experience I have ever had.
Within 60 days of purchase it needed a new engine. Ever since it has been worse.
The "new" engine had all old, mismatched spark plugs, belts and hoses, but wait there's more!
It has burnt the same plug and injector 3 times, the heater core is bad, the belt tensionor has broken, the water pump went out, and so much more I am too tired to write.
Worst company I have dealt with ever.
Not one person has called or tried to rectify this situation in 2 years.
You can't give 0 stars on a review, but that's my grade for this piece of crap company.
BUYER BEWARE, or be smart and do not go to any of them.

I HATE Carmax!!!! This is long I know but if it helps someone and prevents this from happening again it鈥檚 worth the write/read.
First off let me say that I have challenged credit, not anything to do with past cars or major purchases, little things that happen in life when you鈥檙e younger and need to decide what鈥檚 more important to pay that month especially when also supporting an ill parent. With that said I went to Carmax picked a car I loved (a kid hit me at 55mph when I was stopped and totaled my car). My 1st visit to Carmax was easy I supplied the down payment, verification of my info was quick, but I waited hours to sign paperwork. Fast forward 2 days, Carmax calls and says I have to bring the car back cuz the bank said the wouldn鈥檛 Fi蛷n蛷ance me after all. Ummm ok, the guy I spoke to said if I didn鈥檛 bring it back they were gonna REPO it. He was rude right out the gate. So I went to a different Carmax location since they had a car I liked, 7 hrs later I was finally told yes I can get that car I just needed to bring proof of residency- what!!!! I did that at the other location already. I said I can bring it in tomorrow cuz I didn鈥檛 have it with me anymore. Next day, 3rd visit, now all of a sudden I need to double my down payment. I saw the banks terms and I didn鈥檛 need to add any money, but if I want that car then I have to the guy said. I said NOPE! Picked another car and the paperwork and all that was done before I could even test drive it, I asked several times and each time was delayed for some reason. I hadn鈥檛 even seen the car in person yet I had just looked on the website. The guy comes back and says the car is mine and i just need to sign the finally docs I said I haven鈥檛 even seen it in person/test drive. Another hour goes by and I finally get to test drive it and as soon as I get in the car I knew it wasn鈥檛 the one I picked (I picked one with heated leather seats and these were cloth). I was only allowed to drive it in the neighborhood next to Carmax at a top speed of 25! I told the guy this isn鈥檛 the car I wanted and showed him the correct one. He said he would take care of it. It鈥檚 now really close to closing time, about 30-40 minutes later he comes back walks me outside and hands me the keys to the car (I signed paperwork on the other car test drive and all that stuff) he points at the car and says congrats you have a new car. It is now 15 minutes after close, I go to the car and the sales guy goes back inside. I go to get in the car and it鈥檚 the same car that I said was not the one I picked. Now I鈥檓 mad that the switch-a-roo was pulled on me. The car they dumped on me is a POS, the alignment is messed up, the brakes are bad and technically the car originally was a 2.0L engine but is somehow now a 1.4L. This is shady business and they shouldn鈥檛 be selling that car or any other!!!!!! I went to DriveTime, test drove a car told them I wanted it we did paperwork and it was done!!! They even went over a checklist of the car with me to make sure everything worked and there was no issues before I left the lot. They even called the next day to check on me. RUN AWAY FROM CARMAX, RUN AND NEVER LOOK BACK!!!!!!!! Save yourself the hassle and just go to DriveTime or somewhere else. Sorry this is so long but the whole experience needs to be known. I want nothing to do with Carmax ever again!!

Honestly, we love the car and the buying experience at CarMax. BUT and this is a big one, our salesman sold us on a zero down payment warranty with this quote, "It basically covers everything but the tires". Ok, so here we are 11 months later and we have our first problem. My husband tries to push the push-button starter to turn the car off and the button recedes into the dash and out of reach and out of site. AND the car is still running. The remote start won't turn it off, the warranty company doesn't have a 24 hour help line, Carmax doesn't have anyone at the dealership to tell us how to turn it off because it's after 5 pm. We are told our amazing, over the top warranty doesn't include a loaner vehicle or towing. This is our only car and we live in the middle of nowhere, WV! It's 4 hours to the dealership we bought from, but our salesman convinced us that our local mechanic could do the work and be re-imbursed. NOT! The mechanic said that the warranty companies ALWAYS find an excuse not to pay and he will not deal with them. In essence, they take your money and will not honor their warranty. Called Carmax again during regular working hours and they cannot get us in for 2 weeks. None of the other CarMax dealers or participating service centers can get us in for 2 weeks min. How is this a warranty? I'm going to pay for a rental for 2 weeks, rather than having my car serviced locally? I'm starting to really hate CarMax. I finally totally "called" em on overselling warranties out of greed when they tell me there is such high demand that they cannot service their warrantied vehicles within a reasonable time and they act like they are doing me a huge favor to try and work me in 5 days from now. BUT, "trim" isn't covered! She wants to convince me that the starter button that starts the car is considered a piece of trim. She says the electrical and mechanical are all that are covered on my bumper to bumper, incredible warranty that covers "everything but the tires".
I feel that CarMax is the epitome of a Greed Monger, overselling warranties that they cannot and have no intention of honoring!

I would like to inform you all of the horrible聽customer聽service I received from the business聽manager at the Tallahassee location. I spoke with the office there to cancel my warranty. He was ok, but seemed unsure of the knowledge he was giving me, as if he were very new to the job. I then asked to speak to his manager so that I can just be sure that the information聽was indeed correct. The manager then get on the phone and immediately聽was irritated as if i interrupted聽his day. I asked him to verify the information聽that i had been given from the previous person and he gave me some very different info. He was very passive聽aggressive, condescending, rude and abrasive. He informed me that I will need to drive down to the office (after I told him several times that I live in GA not FL and it's a 4hr drive) and fill out the paperwork. I said thats was not be possible for me to do and he then said "well that's the only way we do it and there nothing聽I can do for you, soooo." I insisted that there must be a way around that since I live in another state. He Then became even more obnoxiously rude while stating "well that is the only way, we cant help" (several times, each time more rude than the last). I then simply asked him for his name, he said "Cliff". I asked for his last name, he said "I dont have to give you my last name" (with a nasty tone to say the very least). The I said well,聽 ok, may I have you last initial, he said "no, I dont have to give you anything". Then I said well with you being the business office manager you should be able to provide me with your office contact number. At that point he said "LOOK, Im not giving you any of my information, thats too personal, you no getting anything outta me!". I was beyond hurt and horribly offended by this. I felt he was the most unprofessional person I had encounter in my life and I have not even met him in person. I simply informed him that he would hear about this later and he hung up on me. He even then sent an e-mail to me with a picture of a written note (so that I could not get his information in the signature of the email) very petty and childish move on his part and he is failing this team and Carmax as a whole with his actions. There in no telling the numbers of people he treats so poorly. I truly feel sorry for any one who has to work with this person and a customer, employee or co-worker. There needs to be corrective action immediately. I had such a great experience with Carmax until this very moment. I have friends and family in the Tallahassee area who are looking to purchase and I definitely would not recommend them or even a stranger too that place. I will also be leaving a complaint on the BBB, Google and everywhere else I can to warn people about that "Cliff" person and to be aware of dealings with him. I am so sad to even have to take time out of my work day and type this long e-mail. But this is how upset I cam and I will go out of my way to make sure this does not happen to any other customer.

I worked with Carmax in Clearwater, FL for my last purchase. I will say I was overall very pleased with the service. I did order a vehicle with their free delivery to the dealership service. When the car arrived there were very prevalent scratches and scrapes in the front of the vehicle. Obviously I was not happy with that result. The sales person however, I want to say it was Rudy and Trevor helped me out 100%. Rudy immediately pointed the damage out to his manager and I declined that vehicle. They handled that very well. Then Rudy took me through car by car their current inventory. I came across a Nissan that I really liked alot. We made that purchase happen same day and I drove that car off the lot. I am very happy with the vehicle and their professionalism. I did give it four stars I would have given it 5 if it was not for trying to deliver a scratched and fouled up vehicle.
I also have to add one thing. After I purchased the vehicle I had it reviewed by a nissan dealership with a detailed report. Carmax has a 7 day return policy and I wanted to make sure it was not a lemon. The car got all good grades except for the brakes. Car max took the report and replaced my brakes free of charge. They are very plesent to deal with.

I can鈥檛 believe this company exists! I had 2 suvs to sell, a 2016 and 2018 with average and low mileage. The 2016 needed tires and had a decent scratch on one door but was otherwise in great shape. The 2018 was in excellent shape. Both still had factory warranty remaining. The offers were slightly less than Carvana but were well above the offers from Kelley Blue Books instant cash offer and the follow up offer from the dealership KBB said would buy our suvs. The dealership turned out to be the dealership we bought both vehicles from and we did every single service with them. The dealership offered just below the online offer from KBB on the 2018 but they were $4000 lower on the 2016, what a scam. Carmax has a great business model and really gives fair offers if you don鈥檛 have the time or patience to deal with private sales. I had both vehicles sold to Carmax in about 2 hours from start (inspection and appraisal) to giving me a check (based on the equity I had) and paying for a Lyft on my way out since I didn鈥檛 own any vehicles after that. I highly recommend Carmax and the hassle free process they offer. I hope they are always around as this experience was completely unexpected and exceeded all of our expectations!

If you can buy from somewhere else, DO IT! RUN AND DON'T LOOK BACK!!! They crashed one of our cars on the lot, then sold us another that had a RODENT NEST under the hood, LEAKING OIL, electrical problems, etc… I called to make an appointment to get it checked, and they told me it would take at least 10 days to get it in there!!! They truck is less than 2 weeks old (conveniently broke down after the 7 day period) and they expect me to wait that long for things that should have been dealt with before it was put up for sale. This leads me to believe THEY DID NOT INSPECT THE VEHICLE BEFORE RESELLING IT!!!! The vehicle also has this blackish powdery substance all over under the hood. Don't bother calling the 800 number, they're just a feel good hotline that takes a memo and sends it to the same people who are causing the problems. So they finally take the truck in to get repaired and they don't bother to call me and update me, nor provide me a loaner vehicle… RUN AWAY AND DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!! After the sale you are just a piece of trash to them.

Bought a 2016 Honda. After a couple of weeks the steering started to drift.Brought the car back and the service dept took it out for a drive and said they couldnt duplicate the problem.I asked if they put it on a lift to inspect the front end they said no.Asked them if they ran a diagnostic they said no.They said that since they couldnt duplicate the problem there was no reason to do these things.I persisted and so they sent me to a repair shop to check the alignment. It was ok.Got back in the car and right away I felt it wandering again.Carmax service told me that I was not used to the electronic power steering.Well anyway went to Honda dealer and right away the mechanic felt the problem and told me that the power steering rack needed to be replaced at a cost of over 2000.00.Luckily the car is still under honda warranty.Be careful when buying a car from carmax and dont trust a mechanic that wont even put the car on a lift or run a 15 second diagnostic.
