This website attracts scammers. I posted my resume on career builder and with in 3 days I received 7 text messages/emails from scammers that would only do interviews through chat messages. I have yet to receive contact from an actual person that is looking to hire me. The messages/emails claimed to be from legitimate companies but were unable to provide a phone number to contact the company at. I completed one interview and they said they were going to send me a check in the mail for office supplies. There was no verification of age, new hire paperwork or any way to talk to an actual person.

We paid over $3000 for what as promised us "large number of qualified automotive technicians".
The truth is that your so-called automotive technicians are a true joke; what we find is "technicians" such as "IT technicians" or facility maintenance technicians… or even worse, many of your so-called qualified applicants are from a different countries. When asked for help from your sales people the answer was very simple – we can't find it either, but you signed a contract so pay or your credit score is going to be effected.

Your resume and all that information will be stolen. I made a huge mistake, never ever consider to visit this careerbuilder site!
When I was searching for a website that would allow to apply multiple companies at once I came to this website. Also, on their page they have the link in the footer saying "do not want to sell your data" something like that and then it will give you a quote price to remove your information. I think they will never do it once they've got you.

If you're looking for a place to source candidates for your company, I would advise you not to use CareerBuilder. I've never been so dissatisfied with a vendor in my life. They refused to refund us despite knowing we were absolutely not happy a couple of days into our 3-month contract. It became really clear to me quickly that most of their clients were completely dissatisfied and they potentially didn't have a customer that could share a positive experience. The sales guy was nice but I do hope he finds a position elsewhere because it's a terrible company.

I finally deleted my account. Not only are the salary's listed almost 100% false ($140K for an admin assistant?), I started getting numerous "job leads" via email that turned out to be completely ridiculous. If they had even glanced at my resume, they would have known that the jobs they were sending me made no sense at all! I then started getting texts. They would not say who they were, and were very vague about who they represented (and never who they worked for). After I asked some questions, they started to get nasty! I told them to remove me from their list and I blocked their numbers. This has never happened on LinkedIn. It's bad enough looking for a job in this climate. I certainly don't need to be hassled by these so-called "recruiters". CareerBuilder needs to screen these people. Good riddance.

I've gotten nothing since applying on this site but text messages (!) from fake companies just phishing for my info. I've received emails with the same going on. A few years back there was a legitimate posting but it actually was more of an ad that appeared as a banner on the page for a government job. But now I've gotten nothing but feeling like my personal info has been accessed by people from other countries and it is very unsettling. I literally could've not used the site and saved myself the grief.

I create an account on this site and not one day later what do I get? I scammer calling my phone number referencing information that he could have only gotten from my account on this site. I doubt careerbuilder itself is responsible for this, but keep in mind that scammers use your profile as a data mine.

I applied for "jobs" I qualified for, and have since been inundated with phishing emails, scam calls and unsolicited offers for "scholarships" and amazing "work at home" offers earning 55k or more to simply verify products. This site needs to be taken down, and I would like to see a class action suit brought against them. Customer service is a joke. Total waste of time and total scam. Don't give them any information or post your resumes.

Its stupid and annoying that careerbuilder shares your resume with other recruiting companies that fill your inbox with completely irrelevant jobs. Huge waste of time. I stopped using their sustem2 for a while and eventually these emails and calla stopped. However a day after just logging into their site again the emails, txts and calls from shady and irrelevant companies and recruiters syarted again. I am a Network Engineer getting tons of emails and calls to be a entrepreneur, leader, car insurance agent, etc and they all say they found my resume at Career builder. However since i already notice this is a pattern after i log in, i know its not coincidence. I am contacting Careerbuilder and will ask them ro remove my resume and close my account. Enough of this bs.

I keep getting e-mails saying they pulled my resume from careerbuilder, and EVERY SINGLE JOB E-MAIL I HAVE RECEIVED THAT MENTIONS THIS is pretty much a scam. They don't mention what the companies are or a number to call, just what the pay is (usually too good to be true), some general info, what they want from you, and sketchy e-mail profiles to reply to. STEER CLEAR FROM THIS SITE.

Do not put your email address or phone number anywhere on the site, or you'll get phone calls and emails from 'recruiters' about unrelated random jobs, IE, spam.
Wait, how can you avoid putting contact info on a career site? Aha…yeah don't use CareerBuilder it's trash.
Recommended jobs are also rubbish

CB has a good database of candidates. Having said that, their internal people are 90% incompetent. They have screwed up my account so many times, they call all the time, they don't listen.
Ads don't work, you will get all kind of people that aren't even close.

So I saw a button saying fast apply and thought it was to apply to the job I entered for. Next thing you know, I'm applied for 43 different random jobs!!!!? Alot of which I wouldn't apply for.

I seen a job I wanted to apply to so I clicked it. When applying it ask you which website you would want to use. Careerbuilder said it was one clique apply. So I chose them. Wrong! Even filling in my info I'm like no way this is legit they don't even ask you the basics, and sure enough when I called the job they could not find me, or even had heard of them for that matters .

Okay so, CareerBuilder has a glitchy site but has some pretty decent jobs. It seems now, most companies are not using job sites to get new employees. They are using LinkedIn.

I did not register for this website. I received an email thanking me for uploading my resume. I did not provide any of this information, nor did I authorise the use of my information. Creating an account in my name using my email and a fake address is COMPLETELY FRAUDULENT. I have requested that my account be removed and expect to be informed when this is done within the 30 day window (which is egregious). I will be negatively rating this site on every possible review site possible. Skimming my LinkedIn for this information and creating and account in my name is akin to identity theft.

Hello fellow job seekers. If you are reading this, it means you take your job search seriously. You are probably a lot like me, in that you want to find something that fits you. You do your research on the companies you will apply to find the right fit, you want a job you can be happy at and will give you the best options. But, like me, you need to track down these potential companies and open positions. You could grab the morning paper, drive down to an employment agency in your state or you can do all of this online. I chose online for the simple fact jobs are updated at all times, you don't have to go out and buy the paper or wait for its arrival and you don't have to sit in a stuffy office building in front of a bank of computers.

It is just so easy to do all of this from the comfort of your own home, so now all you have to do is find the best job search site. There are a bunch of them. Some are ok, some are geared more for the professional and then there are those that cover just about anything. Career Builder is one of those sites, for lack of a better term, is just pure GARBAGE. Don't even bother filling out all the information, doing a search or even giving them your email address. Folks, I have worked with at least four different sites and Career Builder, although one of the five, would be ranked down around 20th on the list for a reputable and helpful sites. Yes, I know the math doesn't work, but that is the best I can do as far as ranking a loathsome site that has sent me jobs I never asked for, from the same companies, repeatedly. I used to just hit the 'Not Interested' tab and then when directed for a reason, usually just hit the not interested in company and never filled out the remarks. Until about a month ago, when I typed out the response as to why I refused to even consider working for the company they were suggesting.

Then again about 2 weeks ago, they sent me another job opportunity for the same company. I responded, explaining this was the second time and reiterated my desire not to apply for, let alone work for the company and informed Career Builder, if I received another request for this company or anyone like it, I would deliver a poor review of Career Builder. Well, guess what I got just an hour before writing this review. That's right folks, another request to consider the company. It's a good thing I take HBP medication, or I would have had a stroke. I will not give you the name of the company they continually tried to get me to apply for, since it's not the companies fault that Career Builder does a lousy job at putting the right potential employee with the right company. Nor is it the fault of the company that individuals working for Career Builder can't review, read or comprehend a written response asking to never be bothered about the company again. Not once, not twice but three times or more.

So, to Career Builder, I do not wish to continue any job searches through your lousy site. I suggest others do the same. I will continue to do my searches with sites who actually listen to the individual and take the time to make contact with them to correct these type of mismatches from happening. I would give Career Builder a negative 10 star review, but its not an option given. Good luck job seekers.

I was about to apply for a job that was posted on CareerBuilder. In reviewing the job requirements, I was suspicious of the wording / phrasing (it was very generic). I highlighted a large section of test and searched for in through Google. Sure enough, the first result lead me to a website that offered to teach how to put out a job description. There was no legitimate company behind the job ad. I can only imagine what this "company" is doing to people's personal information when they submit their resumes.

Every job I found had already complete. The same accounts keep showing on the board. Even ones that were placed 3 months ago. I have been trying for 3 months to find and have not been able to get the first interview off your website.
