I have unfortunately taken a car hiring in Genova (Italy) at Maggiore desk beginning December, throughout another tour operator called CarDelMar by internet site, and I noticed that this CarDelMar made a 50% reduction on the rent for my period (1fst – 7th) I I had to pay 87,28鈧?in place of 174,56.
I have been debited on my credit card on 14th december by 173,55 鈧?
I have called MAGGIORE, they don't understand what has occured, Ihad to contact directly CarDelMar, and I am now waiting their answer. I hope getting back the undue difference on my credit card,

This is not the first time Maggiore act as criminals, in last Oktober they have stolen me 223% of my hiring in Trapani , more than 300 鈧?that are not yet back on my credit card. Shame on MAGGIORE and on every Entreprise who has worked whith them but not only, with the other officials who are sensed controlling and managing institutions in the countries involved. Nobody moves, no Institution make sanctions and consumers are the real and the last to pay for these Criminals.
I am decided to call this Car Rental and the Tour Operators (MAGGIORE – AUTO EUROPE – and the new holding shares coming soon) for justice , if no result for my money lost abovementionned.

The car that have provided was clean and in excellent condition.
CarDelMar is a company recommended; What if I need to rent a car again I definitely rivolgerei them.

The reservation was flawless and we got the car we booked.The local car-hire agency "pushed" us to make a full insurance coverage and since I was not completely trustfull about the car-hire agency (Advantage by Hertz) I decided to pay an extra even if my reservation included a full insuracnce with Cardelmar.Anyway the reservation with Cardelmar allows to get a very special offer so that adding the extra insurance by the local agency to the tarif by Cardelmar I got a better price than if made everything with the local agency.
In the future I will use it again, taking advantage of the special offers and depending on the reputation of the local agency I will decide if getting a full insurance with them beside Cardelmar. For sure I will save money having same service.

Things went pretty well. We have used car del mar on several occasions and that's why we chose it for a week in Sardegna. My only complaint is that the car del mar website sold an insurance which sounded like an "all inclusive" but which really gives no coverage. If you wanted a real full coverage you had to buy it with the local company. So not sure what car del mar is selling. I would advise customers not to buy the insurance online but to see directly with the dealers. Other than that all went smoothly.

however, surprisingly, the usually trusted Hertz car rental gave me a first (old) car with gone, squeaking brakes, and a broken engine with no power left, then agreed to change it to a second car with a broken wheel + damaged tyre, with the very real danger of explosion while driving in hot weather/high speed. Finally, the third car was excellent, but the whole thing costed me about 4 hours of precious holiday time !!!

We reserved a pegeuot 107 and were given a hyunday Atos, but a part for this minor inconvenience we are very satisfied. The car was kind of new, in very good conditions. The hand over and the drop off were smooth and quick.
