Would you buy a used car from Mount Vernon Motors? I鈥檇 say No, not based on our experience. Nor would I buy a Motorhome. Tried to buy an Elddis Autoquest 120 from this East End dealer. From the outset this was a mistake. Took a look around it, went to salesman Jim who knew NOTHING about it, couldn鈥檛 even get the electrics on, let alone the gas, water etc. Clueless. Asked about broken reverse camera and he refused to fix it and demanded keys back for daring to even ask! The aggression just got worse, being insulted for asking to be shown Habitation Survey, maintenance schedule, and insisting I see everything working before I hand over 拢26,000. Called me a Smart A***e for even daring to ask questions. Continued the insults, apologized, then insulted us again! What a Completely Untrustworthy Non-sensical Trader.
Jim got someone from outside to demonstrate the habitation area who suggested it doesn鈥檛 matter if the toilet isn鈥檛 working 鈥?just use a campsite鈥檚 facilities! Asked to see Habitation Survey – it flagged up dampness and a fault that wasn鈥檛 ever mentioned. No warranty was offered, no mechanical check, only 3 months AA recovery and we just knew 鈥?if something goes wrong, as soon as we leave this forecourt, Mount Vernon Motors will not want to know!
Jim said he would get everything working when we next came back. It wasn鈥檛 and he didn鈥檛 care. He fully expected us to hand over 26k and take the van on good faith but showed absolutely NO good faith himself. He just wanted the money and expected to do nothing in return. No valeting, no demo of everything, no MOT at first. Instead of fixing the reversing camera as promised, he told us to fix it ourselves!
We declined to take the motorhome as not everything was operational and Jim hit the roof again as we weren鈥檛 prepared to offer this lying bully a single penny. Threatened me and forced us out the door. Luckily I paid my deposit by credit card (Section 75 Consumer Credit Act) 鈥?not sure I would have got it back otherwise.
The whole Buying your First Motorhome experience should have been enjoyable and exciting. It is after all a huge investment. Instead it was very stressful, off-putting and ultimately pointless. We will now go to a proper Dealer.
It鈥檚 companies like this made the Consumer Rights Act 2015 a welcome and necessary piece of legislation. Mount Vernon Motors is not fit to sell Motorhomes and I would be very wary of buying anything from this shower of venal grifters.

A second hand car dealer appears to have left positive comments on this website for himself. I asked the website to investigate this and they have removed my access. Treat with extreme caution.

Just got my year old Nissan Note car back from a service from Nissan it took 5 days for them to service it. Before the service the car was working well apart from a slight noise from the fan belt. Now there is oil pouring from the car. My Note has no power, it pulling violently to the left, there is a horrific grinding noise.
The RAC has picked it up and taken it back to Nissan the car is still under warranty.
I'm gutted 拢239 for brakes and discs, new fan belt covered by the warranty.
拢7:50 for a replacement car. Plus money for petrol.
Now they are telling me that I need another 拢50:00 for a hire car, to pay for petrol. Where do they think we are getting all this money from.
I should not have to pay anything else, this was not my fault.
I'm so angry with Nissan they are saying that a customer care officer will come back to me in the next couple of days. That is no help to me.

This is a NON-REPUTABLE review site based abroad who write bad reviews about car dealers so car dealers will pay to have them removed. Website is a SCAM. Should not be trusted.

cardealerwatchdog.com are generating mass fake reviews for businesses and waiting to be contacted by the said business owners who check (and care about) reviews posted about their company. When the business owner contacts cardealerwatchdog to have the false review removed – the send you to a partner site (obviously owned by the same scammer) to make a payment!! This is totally illegal and I am just amazed the website hasn't yet been taken down by the Police.

We recently received some negative reviews, which seemed suspiciously out of character. We then contacted the administrator of Cardealerwatchdog to query these reviews, to be then presented with a website that takes money to remove these reviews. Having looked at the heritage of the domain, there is hard evidence to suggest the two are linked. BEWARE OF THIS EXTORTION SCAM, DO NOT TRUST THIS DODGY SITE RUN BY MIKE/DAVID PATEMAN.

I had a terrible time with cardealerwatchdog this is a scam site they wanted 拢500 to remove a review. Even though they said they don't remove reviews I asked if it was legal and they got very abusive they threatened to post my email address everywhere and they said they could access my bank records and they would remove money I had to get to get action fraud involved I must admit I was terrified be aware there is no contact details on the site and also trade carefully they use a site call cleanwebsitereviews.

Cardealerwatchdog claim in their in the home page and faq page they do not remove reviews!! as that would be taking the side of the dealer. Please not they DO remove reviews via a site affiliated with them called cleaninternetreviews but there is a charge for doing so we had recently done a review and asked car dealer watchdog to take it down as it was wrong and we were bit haste when posting it they told us they would not.We were then contacted by clean internet reviews even though we had never given them our details saying they would remove the review for 拢1000 i have spoken to the dealer who has told us they were also contaced by this site asking for 拢850 to remove reviews and an ongoing fee of 拢50.00 per month.Clearly these sites work together to make money they prey on the consumer who has done an inaccurate review and the dealer who has bad reviews it was even suggested that some of the reviews are fake which i could believe. Please post on a genuine site like this clearly cardealerwatchdog and cleaninternetreviews are just a scam they dont care about the truth they just want your money.AVOID

I own a small business and noticed some negative reviews about my company after looking at the reviews in detail I could not identify one genuine review .i contacted the admin at cardealerwatchdog and asked if they could prove these reviews were genuine they said they would not so I asked if they would suspend the reviews again they declined this saying they don't remove reviews a day later I was contacted by a site called cleaninternetreviews.com they offered to remove the negative reviews for a payment of 拢600 plus an ongoing payment of 拢60 per month.at no point had I ever contacted cleaninternetreviews.com.They said that if I did not pay then there was another 4 negative reviews which were not on yet and if I did not pay they would publish them also.i declined this offer as something did not fit .I decided to look into this more and found out that both sites mentioned are the same people I'm now taking legal advice as this is clearly a con please be careful and use a genuine site.
