Best place to get your car!

Bought a car from car city 3 years ago. While I liked the car the first 4 months I had it it went downhill. It started to leak about a quart of oil per oil change till it started to puke oil out. Turns out that almost every seal had to be replaced which the warranty they offer didnt cover a dime of it. Ps that was about $5000 in repairs alone. 2 years into owning it the radiator started leaking which was another 500$ repair. 2 1/2 years later it started to leak transmission fluid which was about $200 but the warranty finally covered something so it was only $100. Current time it now has a air bag light on which I got an estimate on it for about a $500 repair and my rear defrost stopped working… $300 quote on that. The car was out of comission for a total of 2 months to get fixed( my payment is just shy of $400 a month) it cost me almost $800 for the car to sit and get fixed. I'm not happy at all

Really disappointed with the management of my file. I advanced 200 GBP as a deposit with the garage after accepting the financing of the car. I signed all the necessary documents. In the end, more funding for reasons that are not very clear and, moreover, they don't want to reimburse my deposit. Really not at all serious. I will file a complaint with the competent authorities.

My sales guy was very fun to work with and had a great sense of humor. Very nice guy. If all goes well with my new vehicle, I will definitely be back!

the people are awesome and great. I know they aren't suppose to hold a vehicle, but since I was coming from Houghton, they held the one I wanted. I appreciate this. I have been telling everyone of my friends about the great treatment and service, and it would be great if we could have a Car City up here. I'll even take Barry for the manager, LOL. I just can't say enough. I am very pleased with the vehicle I chose.

I had a great experience with Car City. Steve at the Lansing location treated me with respect, and was very personable and knowledgeable. It was his level of service and attention that swayed my decision to go with Car City. I was working with a couple of other dealerships, but the positive experience I had here made the difference. I only hope the vehicle provides a similar positive experience.

Good deal on a good car. Not sure of the inspections before sale because while on test drive the Traction Control light came on. After purchase took to a shop to have it recalibrated and to find the left outer tie rod end was bad. Extended warranty covered it. Upon my own inspection the air filter was filthy and the intake hose was not attached to the air filter housing. Whoever car city uses for their before sale maintenance needs to pay attention. I was pulling unfiltered air into the intake, luckily I am mechanically inclined.

Good place to get a nice vehicle, of course you end up paying more than the vehicle is worth but that's the price you pay for messing up your credit I guess. Gotta do what you gotta do. Kyle was .y salesman in Portage, MI he was a nice guy and the transaction was quick and pretty easy. They let you pick your car and dont push you at all, one of the best experiance I've had with a car salesman.

I went in Dec to purchase a car. I applied and was approved with a hefty down payment. The down payment was high because, at the time, I was working through a temporary staffing company transitioning to a new hire position. I was instructed to come back when I was hired in with paystubs to prove employment. One month later I came back, down payment was knocked all the way to $39 down. I was able to add $1000.00 of my own cash with what the finance company approved me for, and drove off in a 2012 push start Altima. Also car city matched my down payment up to $500 so that was put towards my car as well. I was able to do a referral scratch off, my sister referred me, and she鈥檚 being sent the reward in mail. Best car experience ever!! Also received $25 Meijer gift card for setting up payment schedule to be directly deducted from my banking account! I could go on and on about the Perks of the extra insurance blah blah blah but I believe you all get the picture. #HappyCustomer #SatisfiedMom

We walked the lot uninterrupted, found our choice and then came inside. Which is exactly the way I like to shop. Very easy process, was pre approved walked in pick my car, did paperwork, and gone. Took all of 1 hour tops.

Jordan and Brandon were great at CarCity in Portage. I had a little snaggel at first but they helped work through it and was very upfront and honest.

Hello on Sept 15th 2018 I purchased a Ford FG xr6 from Shaun in yard 5. He did his pitch as he should and I did mine as a buyer.
Very happy with the car although following week had couple issues. Shaun was wonderful in his aporoach to my concerns with the car and these issues were rectified, no problem.
If your looking to buy a car, I certainly recommend Shaun in yard 5.
