When Google announced it would no longer be supporting its link shortening application, Goo.gl, I tested several other sites that offered the same kind of functionality. I have to monitor the traffic for over 100 links so ease of use and accuracy were primary concerns. Capsulink turned out to be exactly what I needed. I've been using it for a couple of months now and it has completely lived up to my high expectations.

I started using Capsulink a few months ago. I really like that its so easy to use. I use it for very basic purposes – I need to make some links shorter when I put them in presentations and online documents, and share them with others. I dont personally need to create branded links so the free plan is sufficient for me. I imagine that for some companies the opportunity to create links with their company name in them would be useful as well.

This is a useful tool that will help you to manage your social media posts effectively. For example, I have a website where I also write articles. I want to promote those articles on social media, so instead of copying the long link, I shorten it with Capsulink – it looks better and saves space. Then, I go to my Capsulink profile and can see the overview of all the links Ive posted and which have been clicked more, which less. This gives me good insights on what topics my readers like better.

Using Capsulink is incredibly easy. I have a blog and I often share links to my blog on social media and emails. I can just copy the link on the Capsulink site and it is automatically shortened. I tried 14 days trial and decided to use PRO package as it costs only 24 dollars per year and provides the option to create a custom domain, editable shortlinks, and in addition it sends notifications if there are any broken links. It is really good if you care about your blog鈥檚 traffic and we all know how annoying it can be if you are lead to a 404 broken page. Another thing I greatly appreciate is the advanced statistics Capsulink provides, I can really see who is reading my content and which posts are doing better than others. The only thing that鈥檚 missing for me as I鈥檓 mainly on my mobile is an Android mobile app for the tool.
