My old Digital EOS 550D stopped working. I went to the Canon website to find a service center. It was reasonably easy to navigate and found the service center at MBK mall. They gave me an estimate for the repairs which seemed expensive. They had to order a part from Singapore which took extra time. (I feared the estimate would be increased) when the camera was returned to me I was delighted, It was like a new camera. they even replaced the rubberized coating which was starting to come loose. and the final price was about half of the estimated price. The only drawback was they did not speak English well, but I am a guest in their country. All in all I would not hesitate to do business with Canon in the future.

I have broken my camera accidently during the youth forum half a year ago. It took me much time to figure out what the problem was. But, after contacting CanonCameraRepair support, it took less than 3 working days to fix it.

!!! SCAM !!! SCAM !!! SCAM !!! SCAM !!! SCAM !!! SCAM !!! SCAM !!!

These jokers scammed me. I sent them my camera and the quote increased from the $118.00 I was told it would be. When I refused to pay them the $200.00 they said it would be, they turned around and destroyed my Canon camera.

Be cautious! They are operating under:

Camera Repair Center
Www.canoncamerarepair.com
Eric's camera repair
Camera and Camcorder Repair

It is all the same scam. The guy running the scam is Albert Hortananian. Sometimes he'll give a fake name but that is his real name. It's a total fraud!

I got taken by them too. They emailed me an estimate pretty quick. I seemed fair so I sent off my camera.

Once they get the camera the estimate they sent me meant nothing. Fighting to get your camera back is quit a task. The camera I eventually got back was scratched everywhere. I don't even believe it's the same camera.

Also the guy on the phone there is nice until you question the repair. Then he got all nasty with me.

They are a Ripoff with a capital R. I hate getting scammed but this place got me. Before sending them your camera, I'd suggest asking them to give you the estimate in writing that it won't go up. Mine went up to more than what my camera even cost. They said it had been exposed to water but that was impossible.

Since getting it back, now it doesn't even turn on but it did before. I see water marks in the lens now and behind the screen. I believe they soaked my camera when I refused to pay what they wanted for the repair.

SCAM! They give you an estimate and then they get your camera and the repair cost doubles. If you refuse the repair, they mess up your camera. This is what they did to mine. Total scam, thry are also the same people running www.ericscamerarepair.com. Eric's camera is known to be a ripoff scam repair, just read it he reviews on Eric's which are awful. This is the same guy trying to hide his name and use a different website to hide his fraud. Stay far from them, not unless you want your camera ruined if you refuse to pay the doubled repair estimate.
