They sent me tracking information but it turns out that it never actually shipped from their warehouse. When it never arrived I contacted Canon three times and they spent days saying they would trace where it was. Eventually, I said it was time to just send me out another one they told me that they couldn't, all they could do was refund me for the original. Needless to say the product had by this time gone up.
And to cap it all I've just had to file a claim with my credit card company for a refund.
Not what I expected from a reputable manufacturer's store. But now I know I won't use them again.

The printer has not missed a beat so far and I use it daily to print in excess of 20 pages. To my mind better than any Epsom printer I have previously owned to date.
,
This is when all of a sudden Christine Gryparis
Canon Services & Support wasn't so quick on her responses to me.
I called the next day to make sure my refund was being processed. They stated there is an internal process for it but I will receive my refund. All of a sudden the cartridge was being shipped and did I still want it.
Absolutely not was my response as I have already had to go elsewhere to purchase another one. Today they have stated that I have to receive the goods and then refuse the delivery. Then it will be returned to their departments and will then get a refund.
This is a global company that is not fit for purpose and will be the first and last time I use to purchase ink cartridges. Absolutely disgusting. This nonsense has been going on since 30 October 2020.
AVOID.

Bought this camera the other day direct from the lovely guys at Canon UK. Canon is in my opinion the brand leader. I beautifully designed camera, light, robust and cost effective to boot. Despite the current Covid 19 difficulties, the Canon team still manage to roll out prompt and excellent customer service. I am delighted with this wonderful purchase and recommend it whole-heartedly!

CANON you have just lost my business…In this high tech world customers need help and canon keeps expecting more out of the customers…ALL I need is a printer….I dont use the internet…I print email and letters and just need a printer…I know they helped me to register the printer when I purchased it but now they have LOST MY INFORMAION…
So…dont buy this printer…there is no customer service…unless a 25 minute wait works for you….when I call it asks what my product is…when I say "pixma tr8520" it says "call back when you know what your product is"…so their answering thing doesn't hear or understand people…It took over 3 tries to even get it to understand pixma… but if this kind of service is what you want by all means purchase a CANON printer…
oh yes, the reason I am calling is that there is a plastic piece that goes over the paper tray and I cannot seem to get it to click in….it is a plastic piece of junk…
the damn thing just decides when to use the upper or lower tray…and no one has been able to help me figure out how to just use the lower tray. I only want to print on plain white paper…no photos or anything exotic….
They just lost a very loyal customer!!

don't fall for the positive reviews you see online.
The Canon printers take HOURS to set up and some people I know have had to return it after days of failing to set them up. keeps sending you back to an ENORMOUS online manual, and can take about 40 – 50 minutes to find the section that you need, when all you want it do is register it on one or 2 SIMPLE devices like a phone or laptop or tablet.
but worst of all….. the printer ALWAYS says there is no paper in the tray. no matter what you do, no matter how many times you reset, change the paper, shorten the load, it will constantly say there isn't any paper, and can take all day trying to sort the issue out.
Please don't buy a canon printer. please please go and do yourself a favour and buy a HP printer. they may not be perfect, but they are a hundred times better and a hundred times more reliable, and usually about half the price of the Canon ones.
I am a regular online seller so I print between a lot of sheets every day, and both Canon printers I have had, have had to be returned which is never a straight forward process.
(I do not work or have any affiliation with HP, I have just found them to be a million times better and at a much much better price.)

The outer packaging was made up of two flimsy carboard boxes, poorly sellotaped together. This offered no rigid protection for my order inside (it had no chance of reaching me in good condition!). The UPS carrier dropped the package off at my door, and it also looked like it has been kicked around several times by a footballer. By the time I had picked up the flimsy box the UPS driver had gone.
Needless to say my actual A3 paper was damaged and bent. Expected much better from a company like Canon. Whats going on???
I have contacted customer support. Awaiting a response…

Wont be buying another Canon printer, ever, ever again.
,
Today, a piece of plastic in my Pixma printer broke after a paper jam which affected the printing quality.
When I brought it to the attention of Canon, I was told it would be cheaper to buy a new printer than get it fixed.
I was told that Canon would offer me a discount voucher code to purchase a printer if I bought the TS5151 model for 鈧?9.99.
The 20% discount would mean that all I would have to pay would be 鈧?4 approx.
The saving is only 鈧?6 but the amount is not the issue here, it's the principle.
When I went to purchase on-line, I copied and pasted the voucher code number in to the appropriate box and duly purchased.
To my later shock and horror, I discovered that the code didn't lodge and I ended up paying the full amount of 鈧?9.99!
When I rang Canon and asked them to cancel the order so I could re-purchase with my 20% discount code, I was told the printer had been dispatched and the best thing to do was re-order a second one and return the first one when it would be delivered to my door.
I went to purchase a second printer and the website would not accept my discount code.
I then rang Canon AGAIN where the phone option allows you to press 1 with a voice saying that someone will return your call.
I am still waiting on my call to be returned.
I rang again and again and again and eventually got through to someone with bad english. All I heard was a long string of apologies and "I'm sorry, there's nothing we can do now".
Between endless waiting and numerous calls, the money I would have saved by availing of the non-existent voucher has more than surpassed the 鈧?6 by all the calls I made which in real terms means that a printer that was supposed to cost 鈧?9.99 has now cost me in excess of 鈧?0.00!
Remember the issue at this stage is not the money saved but the principle of being told that if I purchased a particular printer I would get a discount, which as it happens, I didn't get at all.
Had I known in advance I would have been put through such a stressful and lengthy ordeal to purchase a simple printer, I would have gone to my nearest Argos where there would be less fuss.
Canon customer service is appalling.
