Confirmed refund months ago still not received! even had to show customer service their own terms and conditions as at first they said i wasnt entitled. Train your staff. Fobbed off with weeks of 'we processing it emails' AVOID THIS COMPANY! LIES! SCAM

TERRIBLE. Do not book with this company. They are CON ARTISITS. Confirmed I am eligible for a refund only after I had to provide their customer service team with their own terms and conditions. 2 moths later STILL NOT RECEIVED MY MONEY BACK.

One of the ABSOLUTELY worst experiences renting, Campanda has taken my money and now hides behind the Covid19 pandemic as a means to not respond or take responsibility for my situation.
I reserved a caravan through them on Jan 3rd for a summer holiday this July in Greece. Because of global pandemic we are unable to leave our country or TRAVEL ANYWHERE for that matter and have tried canceling for well over a month with ABSOLUTELY no assistance from anyone. Campanda and their supplier have been shoving me back and forth claiming 鈥渢hey鈥?can鈥檛 handle cancellation and that the other one must do it … and in the meantime as days tick by they are putting me in a situation where I may not get any of my over 800鈧?back!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY EVER!!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND A TOTAL SCAM !! I鈥檓 trying now to resolve something hopefully with my credit card company before it鈥檚 too late.

This is response I got from Campanda saying that they are keeping 700鈧?for cancelation (even though it's COMPLETELY out of my control and caused by a global pandemic)… Take note and BUYERS BEWARE!! DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY BUSINESS!! OR PREPARE TO BE SCAMMED AND ROBBED OUT RIGHT!! ****READ other reviews~ they are doing this to others, it's not just me!!

1 – In case of a cancellation made from 99 to 50 days before rental – 35 % of the total rental cost is charged as a fee. You paid a 40% Down Payment so you are entitled to a 5% refund (105.45鈧? from the supplier directly.
For sure, you can get in touch with your Credit Card insurance. This situation is related to the terms you accepted when booking.

After booking a campervan and being forced to cancel the trip due to COVID-19, Campanda suddenly switched the terms of cancelation, saying I had to pay the fees charged by the "supplier" which amounted to 60% of the total cost of the rental. The supplier "Andes Campers" was equally unwilling to help. Their website clearly stated I could receive a full refund for changes outside my control, like for instance, a global pandemic. Avoid this company entirely – if anything were to happen to your travel arrangements they will not accommodate you whatsoever.

I have written the below review on an email they sent to me but I doubt that it will be uploaded to their website, so I am posting here to help others avoid using Campanda. They have a .co.uk website but the terms are all linked to the owners terms and German law, so trying to solve any problems is virtually impossible, especially when they insist on balances being paid by bank transfer (very risky) and also when they have your deposit as a ransom against you! You are powerless when dealing with this company and the renters of the camper vans – BE WARNED.

I have scored this motorhome a 2 based on the individual categories because I am being honest but the whole experience was a nightmare and I would prefer to grade this 1 and recommend not to book this motorhome from Drogenbos, Belgium.

The motorhome was falsely advertised and does not have an oven – fundamental lie!

The motorhome did not have a grill, toaster, basic cheap Ikea childrens beakers – it was not luxuriously equipped. There were no outdoor chairs available, no water pipe, no toilet chemicals, the list goes on and on.

The motorhome had to be returned, refuelled, cleaned inside and outside by 10am, which is extremely difficult to achieve considering the rental station is not located near to a campsite! So had to wake up very early.

The payments were the biggest headache. So we paid some money to Campanda, then the balance by bank transfer (never normally do this) and also a HUGE deposit by bank transfer.

The paperwork was all in French and the renter refused to give me a copy but made me sign it!!!

The deposit was promised back to me within a few days but actually took 2.5 weeks and only part of the deposit was refunded because he claimed there was a new tiny scratch on the side and withheld my money.

When we collected the camper it was pouring with rain and there were lots of marks around the wheel arches already! How do you prove it was new or existing when he has your cash. So felt like we had no control.

Campanda did not assist us with the false advertising or to get any of our money back or our full deposit back, so it became a very stressful experience and very expensive experience.

They do not answer the London phone number!

Never again.

UPDATE – Take your Money and give you nothing!!!

Have just been contacted by the company informing they shall refund my reservation fee. I will keep the evaluation until receive the funds…

Please, never book a Camper with this company! They take your payment, than say the Camper is not available and do NOT REFUND your payment!!! Don't be a fool!!!

Booked a Campervan at Irelend (Discovery Campers) & payed 1700.-Euro Deposit. Since 5 month I wait for the return.

Absolutely not reliable Company, avoid!!!

I rented a camper for the first time in my life and I was a bit concerned. I easily found the right vehicle for me, the supplier answered to all the questions I had. On the pick-up day, he explained everything about the camper and offered to bring us to the closest supermarket, that was very kind. We had an amazing holiday in Italy. I will book with Campanda again!

We had an excellent experience with Campanda. We got a Campervan to have some flexibility in our trip. Everything was perfect! Easy to hire, and very quick to keep us informed and answer emails. Thanks!

We booked a winterised campervan in the Alps for skiing. First, the owner asked us to come after 5pm although we'd booked earlier, then it didn't look ready. The tanks had water, still frozen. The windscreen was iced. The battery was flat after several weeks of sub-zero conditions.

The owner asked us to wait a day for a new battery, but when I called at lunchtime, said it wasn't available and cancelled.

We lost two days of our ski holiday and spent around a day looking for alternative accommodation at short notice , inconvenience and expense.

Campanda refunded the rental, but are still advertising the same vehicle. They suggested an alternative vehicle but never came back with anything.

They were helpful, but no help.

It appears they don't vet renters so the renters behave how they please. After travelling 1,000km to pick up the vehicle, I don't think Campanda are acting responsibly, and they are allowing renters to breach contract with impunity. There are no come backs in Campanda's system.

Campanda try to make it a contract between the lessor and lessee but don't qualify the parties.

Buyer beware.

This company was not a reliable partner for us. We rented an RV in North Carolina in July 2018 and drove it to Indiana and back. On 8 July, in Louisville, KY, a tire blew out.
Campanda left us stranded. They said that, despite our road-service insurance, they could find no tire companies who would help us! We were literally on the side of the road. Campanda also refused to pay for one overnight in a hotel or meals while we did their work ourselves, seeking a replacement tire.
I have no respect for this company.

Campanda in USA, I am a US (Maui, Hawaii) based owner who rented on Campanda this year successfully until December when they stopped returning phone calls and email despite promising 2 hour service. Today they announced closing our online accounts and ceased service for 2019 with no re-opening scheduled.
Update, they did pay me and settle accounts owed for 2018.
When they come back I am willing to give them another try and upgrade this review.
The purpose of this review is to improve service in the US and their hasty exit was handled very poorly for renters like me.

Campandas Customer Service are not only very efficient, but they are all very friendly. I have had lots email dialogue and even spoken to a couple over the phone who were more than helpful.
I am having troubles getting my insurance returned by the owner of the campervan and Campanda are going out of their way to try and resolve it.

Run, and fast.

I've had 2 rentals with Campanda and both went horrible. Neither renter received invoices, rental agreements or roadside assistance information from the company. Both renters caused damage to the RV, the second one was substantial. The company also requires the RV owner to collect the damage deposit from the renter, instead of the company doing it and the company still collects their commission of 20%. Campanda is based in Europe and not the US. Reaching anybody is nearly impossible unless you blast them on Facebook. If you are an RV owner thinking of renting out your personal RV, don't use this company.

Their website is rudimentary and owners do not get paid until they find a difficult way to plug in their routing and bank numbers. My impression was that they wanted you to finally get around to finding a way to get the money deposited into your bank account. I think that is uncool.

I have just spoken to a representative of Campanda after a week of not being able to contact anyone by email or phone and was told that Campanda is centralizing operations to Germany. From what I understood, the Boston office is closed and all support will be provided from Germany. I was told that this is why no one is picking up the phone or answering emails. I find it strange and totally unprofessional that Campanda did not inform its clients (both renters and RV owners) of this transition since they have all our contact information. Not answering calls or emails is just unacceptable in an era when, at the very least, automated replies and answering services could preclude a "run on the bank". Shame on you Campanda for creating a panic.

Update: The vendor contacted me via email and made arrangements for payment via PayPal with a credit card, which gives me the consumer protection I required.

I booked a motorhome in Iceland via a credit card deposit and they sent me an email changing the payment to a wire transfer to Germany for the remainder of the payment. My bank has flagged the wire transfer address as possibly fraudulent. I have left them numerous messages and they will not return them.

I rented out my camper and I believe I was scammed. Campanda collected all the renters money back in March but won鈥檛 pay me and are ignoring all my emails and messages. Contacting the BBB and seeking legal action. Very unprofessional and possibly fraudulent

I left an inquiry for a rental RV. The Campanda website states, I should hear back from the owner within 48 hours. It is now 72 hours and counting. NO response from the RV owner.
