Ordered camera for trip, with a week to spare. Delivery was supposed to be 2-3 days. I got worried with 2 days to go. Told them I needed it by Friday, they said it had gone out. Friday came – no camera. Emailed to say I would have to buy another in a shop and send theirs back. They cancelled the order for me – ie. it hadnt gone out at all! Still waiting for the refund, cheeky b…..rs.

I ordered a camera from camerabox.com on the 21st of April. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and hold out for a while due to the easter bank holidays, however, come the 10th of May, I had still received my camera. All I had received was an email with my order number. When I rang up to ask about the slow delivery and to find out some delivery information I was told that the customer was not sent tracking information for items worth less than 拢500 although they were still supposedly "Trackable" ?!
They promised to ring me back the next day with some information, but after they failed to I rang them back and was told the item had been lost in transit. I was then offered the option of waiting for the camera to come back in stock (as this camera was now out of stock) or a refund.
I have chosen the refund….. I wonder if they will deliver their promise on this!
N.B When I asked about possible compensation for late delivery I was rudely told that "Camera box is not John Lewis who charge extortionate prices, and so we don't make much profit on the cameras, so we can't offer the same compensation as them"

I ordered a camera on the 28th Dec. Recieved an E-Mail on the 7th alledging it had been despatched (however no courier or tracking number given). When it had not been delivered by the 14th I telephoned and waited to be answered. Finally got through to customer services and did not feel very reassured but gave benefit of doubt and was told I would be contacted by the end of the week. It is now Friday no E-mails No phone calls no customer service! I have been on the phone waiting to be answered for over 15mins and finally gave up left a message and sent another E-Mail. I hope this is resolved soon but after reading previous reviews I don't hold out much hope!

I placed an order for a 拢500 Canon Digital camera on the evening of 2nd December 2010. The next morning I received an e-mail saying they were unable to process my order and please could I phone them. In the meanwhile I had come across a bunch of negative online reviews about Camerabox, which got me a bit worried. After several attempts I managed to get through to the company and took that opportunity to cancel my order. A confirming e-mail was immediately sent to that effect. No camera was dispatched. However I discovered that they had in fact taken the money from my Mastercard account. A refund should have been put through immediately. Instead 18 days have now elapsed with no sign of a refund. This is simply unethical. I recommend any potential purchasers to avoid Camerabox.
