I live in Italy and stumbled upon CameraNU.nl for chance. I was looking for a seemingly rare piece of gear since it is now out of production. I found it by CameraNU.nl and ordered it right away, I didn't need to made up my mind in ordering by them, also because they present themselves good and website is well made and organized.

On 29th November I ordered an expensive camera bag. CameraNu told me it would be in stock in two to three working days. I had to chase them several times before they finally posted it on 18th December. Their carrier did nothing but 'scan' the item. The parcel never moved. I repeatedly told CameraNu there was a problem – they ignored it. Finally on 30th December the carrier admitted they had "lost" the package. How do you lose something the size of a small fridge?

CameraNu offered to send a replacement. I reluctantly said OK, but asked them not to use that carrier (postnl) again. So they ignored me. And sent the replacement with the same carrier.

And – repeat.

The carrier has "lost" the replacement. And has "lost" the separate package containing some straps. Three packages sent. Three packages lost. All this was just routine for CameraNu. Why should they care? They had had my money for two months. Throughout, their customer service was slow, unresponsive, unhelpful. Never any follow-up, or checking that the problem was fixed. Two dozen emails, and a dozen different agents, but never the slightest suggestion that they might put themselves out to make sure I got my order on time.

Like their carrier, post nl, these people are best avoided.

CameraNu haven't responded to my criticisms, but have written to ask me to nominate them for the STEM Shopping Awards customer service trophy.

I purchased a Panasonic Lumix S1R as kit for a great value. The delivery to Germany was quick and without any issue.

Just one small personal drawback for me – I got a special cameranu.ml voucher for 3 free of charge sensor cleaning services. Becaus I live several hundert KM away I will very unlikely make use of it.
