This company was called Cambridgekitchen.furb. They used to do kitchens the company name changed to Cambridge farmhouse furniture while they were doing the work for me
1) The worktop was cut twice badly
2) the 3 handles on the drawers were different from the ones on the kitchen door cabinets . Reply from the owner : " It is hardly noticeable ! ".
3) They wanted to charge me 拢 442.99 for a qualified electrician to install the hob and oven. It was installed by the owner of the company and not by an electrician. The hob worked partially for one week, 2 rings out of 4. The owner said it was a faulty hob. They forgot two brackets that one of the employees installed later on. Those brackets were left in one of my Tupperware.
3) They wanted to charged me 拢 75 for a piece of MDF 45 cm x 55 cm when it costs 拢 11.15 at B&Q for 2,20m.
4) They screwed holes in the kitchen cabinets to fix the plinths instead of using the brackets on the plinths. The cupboards are now damaged.
5) They pulled the washing-machine while doing the job but the down pipe was resting on the top of the waste pipe. I realised it when I used the washing-machine, there was water everywhere, the plywood under the vinyl planks is soaking wet and I had to call an emergency plumber.
6) I wanted to have another colour for my Splash Back and asked to have a blue Colbalt self adhesive from Homebase. I chased and waited for the delivery. The owner told me it was still not there and I had to wait. After 3 weeks I went to Homebase, they had no order under the owner's name, neither the company. Homebase told me that it takes a maximum of 7 days to deliver and never 3 weeks or more.
Stupidly enough I paid the outstanding balance as they wanted to buy materials for a new project in London. They did not come back to deliver the Splash Back that I paid for and to fix bits of paint. I had to buy the Splash Back again.
The least we can say is that they are not honest and that the job is not done to an acceptable standard.
