An awesome tool! I've used it for years and never had a hint of any untrustworthy practices.

This is the finest online topographic map I have found, and it's free! It is continuous and seemless, and the cookie remembers where you left off when you come back. The data from the Forest Service maps is especially helpful as it has the latest road and trail routes on it. I will grant however I am wary of logging in to it, given the untrustworthy rating here. Has anyone experienced anything strange after sharing your Yahoo! or Google+ account with caltopo?

As far as I can tell, this is a great site. It's just PDF topographic maps. Not really sure where the distrust is coming from, especially considering that all the other ratings also appear positive. Additionally, this give a far better quality output than other comparable sites.

I think WOT should re-write their algorithms. It's a good map site! How come child safety is suspicious? Perhaps the smart ones can plan trips in the wild without parents supervision?

The site displays topo maps of the United States. Very good site!

i don't understand why this site is untrusted — it is a really informative and insightful map with no ads or other frills.

Not sure how this site got this rating, either. There is no way for the site owner to send spam, as there is no requirement for visitors to identify themselves. I am using Firefox, patched. My AVG 2014 and MBAM Pro installations are quiet.

There are no problems with this site. It appears Garmin is flaming it in order to minimize competition.

Excellent site! The poor ratings about spam are unfounded!! Must be an error or someone is attempting to sabotage the site. This site is an extremely useful mapping tool. No spam, malware or abusive content anywhere whatsoever!!
