We are abroad, we obviously cannot go to Spain for travel restrictions, so we called the customer service number. They made us wait more than 25 minutes, they did not attend us, not even mention solve the problem!
I DO NOT recommend it if you want to keep your mental sanity!

Terms of service were not made clear when setting up the account, I was also NOT TOLD when the terms of service were changed.
I am so disappointed with my experience with this bank, I have been constantly lied to and charged ridiculous fees. Disgusting service.

Since then the service has been appalling. For several years I couldn't make payments out of the account because the SMS security system didn't work. I went to the branch and they promised to fix it. It took 3 years.
Then I needed the card reissued and dropped into a branch in Malaga. They said I would have to email Cadiz. Cadiz promised to do it, and 5 months later I'd heard nothing. When I chased them they said my account details were out of date and I needed to update them online. Only thing is, the online system doesn't work. It says contact your branch…and when you contact your branch they say you have to do it online.
I contacted Caixa's complaints department, twice. The first time they ignored me. The second time they said I'd have to go to the branch to sort it out. So…they expect me to travel 1000 kms, in the middle of a pandemic, in the probably vain hope that the branch are going to do anything?
Oh, and the remaining funds have just disappeared.

First off, hello. My name is Daniel, i moved to spain for like a year to two ago, and have moved back to Denmark again (where i am from!). Normally i would give more stars, and note that i am a BIG fan of how your phone Application works! HOWEVER! Here comes my Analysis as to WHY YOU DO NOT DESVER 1 STAR ALONE!
As said, i moved there, and in the beginning it was all great. My boss at work helped me setup everything as i was there for like 6 months as "Autonomo". Now everything was great in the beginning! HOWEVER! There went a month or so by, before i even got my card! I got it just in time before i got my first payment from job, so no problem there! But after a little while, i had to go back to Denmark. Now because of me not able to go to spain at the moment to meet them personally and actually close up my account, i have tried to the best of my ability with everything i have in me to write them mails, i even called them a few times (no answer from either side!) I even tried contacting them through the phone app…. no help to get… no reply what so ever!
I have done everything and all sorts of papers just get into my damn account without i can do anything much about it.
I have ALMOST dropped the case, but without any hope of me being able to sort this out in the near future what so ever.
So if you are like me, wonna stay there for a while to work and then go home to your country of origin, and you wonna make sure that you are "secured" and "safe" – meaning getting a bank that actually cares enough to reply – IN FREAKING ENGLISH! – STAY CLEAR OF THIS BANK! NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!
If you stay there, sure, you can (hopefully) get an answer if you meet them personally, but i would not get my hopes up.
If possible, try to find a bank where THEY SPEAK ENGLISH AND YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THEM! The second they look at you like they dont understand you, stay clear, because that usually means they are arrogant enough to not bother learning english, being able to socialise and actually help out their customers!
Hope this helps others! Because right now i am still, till this day, fighting them off with all ive gotten, trying to find a freaking solution for this bank!
Otherwise, have a good day.

At the beginning all seemed promising, I was told I was eligible for premium banking, was told I had won a free smart TV and that the banker who served me would be there to assist with any matters. Having just moved to Spain this all seemed great (if it seems too good to be true, it probably is). I've been here or a month now and I still have no debit card, not one of my emails requesting information about when it will arrive is replied to, and every time I go into the branch the customer service is actually appalling. They make me sit and wait then serve people who arrived AFTER me. They do not understand any of my queries, even when I ask them in Spanish. I have been to this branch 5+ times to simply get my debit card so I can access my money I transferred to it from my UK account and I still haven't got one or any indication of why I haven't got it. Also, where's this TV I was promised? I understand the world is facing a pandemic right now, but an email or call to update me would go along way. Long story short: incompetent, rude, arrogant and non-existent service. If you're moving from a country that is relatively up-to-date with how banking should work: steer clear of Caixa Bnak.
