CableMods is one of the best companies I've worked with. They have fantastic customer service and an incredible product… which makes the negative reviews make zero sense to me. After reading a lot of them, I see a pattern in the negative reviews.

– "I didn't read the large text plastered on every page explaining what to expect"

– "I ordered a custom, hand-made product and have ridiculous expectations that it will be at my door in 2 days."

– "There's a global pandemic going on and though the site warmed me to expect delays in order processing, I still decided to 1 star CableMods on Trust Pilot after waiting 1 week because I'm an inconsiderate, bad consumer."

– "I cannot navigate a website to the support page and use the correct e-mail for help. I instead reply to the automated e-mail I received that says "DO NOT REPLY" and get mad no one is responding."

Every time I've contacted CableMods, they are quick to respond, informative, and helpful. Their customer service is top notch as well as the products and services they offer. I've been using them for 4 years and have never had an issue. These negative reviews are ridiculous and should be ignored. CableMods does not deserve them at all.

just got ripped off by this joke of a company. DO NOT GET CUSTOM CABLE FROM THEM. they will either leave you in shipping limbo, or just straight rip you off.

Ordered a custom set of cables on june 21st, was notified that it was picked up for shipping on the 26th of june by cable mod. received notification from dhl that the shipment would arrive on july 6th.

as of today i got a notification from DHL that my shipment was sent back to the shipper (cablemod) due to not paying the shipping cost. I remind you that i have already been charged for the cost of my cables AND SHIPPING.
Order tracking on cable mods website shows that my order has been complete. i have sent several emails to support and have yet to get an answer from them.

Placed order on the 23 Mar 20 for A CABLEMOD PRO KIT for an RM Series PSU, NOT A CUSTOM KIT or anything special, but a KIT advertised by Cablemod on their website for my PSU.

I used the EU Store online and place an order for the RM kit. 9 days went past and I had no contact from cablemod(customer service) to update me on the delivery details. I emailed cablemod using their website to ask about timings on delivery etc. Recieved a reply within 48hrs, stating the delay was due to the corona virus. This wasn't an issue, as now I knew.

Today: Still NO CABLES have been recieved, the tracking information seems to suggest import from the USA for delivery to the UK, even tho I used the EU store.

Poor delivery processes and procedures during times such as these only highlight incompetence. Poor customer service from a company I would expect better from. If I can receive a 12kg parcel from Germany in 5 days during lock down, I'm sure a 8×4" box could make it here in that time.

First and last time I used CABLEMOD.

Accidentally bought the wrong cablekit for my pc, not directly from Cablemod, but from Amazon. When I needed cables to RMx, but instead got for HXi, AXi.

So I contacted Amazon, hoping to return my product. As it turned out I was way over my refund time. My Cablemod product had just been sitting here, unopened because I have yet to assemble all my parts and actually get to building my new pc. So Amazon refused my request.

Next, trying my luck directly with Cablemod, turns out I met the right customer service representative from Cablemod, the caped hero, Joe!

Joe set me up, made sure everything else would work just fine, and free of charge sent me an additional 24 pin cable in white, as I needed!

During our e-mail back and forth, Joe was super nice and is to this day the best service I鈥檝e ever got. Be nice, present your case the best you can, and I鈥檓 100% sure you鈥檒l get the help you need from these guys!

I ordered a full custom cable kit for two systems from CableMod as well as some braided SATA cables and a braided USB 3.0 cable. Everything looked great when the product arrived, although one of the 24 pin cables had a broken clip.

While it's not a big issue and would surely work with the clip missing as these cables are secured mostly with friction, a customer support member 鈥?Joe to be specific 鈥?responded back within an hour and without any fuss at all, an order for another 24 pin cable was placed free of charge.

I see no issue with an incident related to shipping as the cables were wrapped quite thoroughly in bubble wrap, and I had a great experience working with customer service to rectify the incident.

Would do business again in the future.

worst company ever is for sure CableMod they dont give there consumers return label or willing to let the product be sent back so the consumer can get a refund. first canceled. second completed.. but still getting double charged.. and now they dont do a refund GG cablemod.

and dont b.u.l.l.s.h.i.t me ! i sent the 2 trans id number from my paypal so it could have been look up in your system but somehow you telling me that i have 2 email use'ing on your homepage when i only used one!…. somethings WRONG!

15aug second complete.
16aug: sent my trans id from my paypal but you didnt have time to cancel one of them so i didnt pay for 2×2 hdmi + 2x transport.

I can't speak for everyone, but I had an excellent experience buying from Cablemod. I made a mistake, and bought the wrong set of cables for my power supply, so I contacted customer service, and a few emails later they had everything sorted out. I would happily buy from them again if I ever need another cable set.

Terrible customer service. Ordered for a custom build for a friend its been weeks and the shipping is still showing in Taiwan. Do not order from this company. I called to complain and they told me sorry but said there is no returns or any recourse. This company is absolute trash.

I ordered a few cables…month later no response to multiple update requests.

Opened a case with PayPal and was immediately told they cannot ship while there is a request open and to close the request and they will ship in another 3 weeks…which is a week after I would no longer be eligible for PayPal protection.

I've escalated with PayPal now in hopes of getting my money back.

I bought a 24 pin ATX cable and 2 bridged 8 pins for my graphics card. I enabled pro on all cables and payed 150 euros!!
For this kind of money ( For 2 cables ) i expected some real premium quality but when i got the package after more than a month of waiting it was very poorly wrapped in some bubble paper. Not really the kind of unboxing experience you would hope for.

The quality of the cables doesnt feel anything special. Not better then some 15 euro cables i got in the past for my pc. The only nice thing is that you can customise the color of the cables. The cables dont really look that thick witch i expected since i enabled pro.

The cables were shipped from hongkong and that also gives me the feeling that i payed 150 euro for some cheap chinese cables that are not anything better than the cheap ones.

I would not buy cables here again.

I purchased via online website a custom length cables. 6 cables over $115 + 20 in shipping!!!!. I was shocked on how much it was but i figured "premium" custom cables cost more. I paid via paypal. Received a order confirmation from cablemod.com and from paypal. I waited a week…..no status update. So I email customer support. No reply. Another week goes by. I again email customer support. No reply. Another week goes by and a total of 21 days since my initial order. I send another email to customer support for a status update. No reply. I proceed the next day to log into paypal and file a claim for not receiving the items. Within 4-5 hours after submitting a paypal dispute I get a email from customer support. Stating "your order is on hold due to payment reversal" OMG !!! You figure that out all by yourself. I replied back to customer service to just cancel my order since it hasn't even been made or shipped. No reply back from them and I escalated the claim in paypal to let them take care of it.

Horrible service if you could even call it that.

I waited a month for the order .. and after 1 week of messages with their customer service (poor) I have canceled the order reimbursing ..
So now I have to wait another month and redo another order ..

Matt was incredibly helpful with my order, probably one of the best customer service provider I got a chance to talk with. Made my life a lot easier by helping with some custom cables I was trying to order for a friend as a gift. He also helped saved me some money, which is something he didn't even have to do. Solid A+ from this guy!

They didn't add my company's name on the invoice even though it was on the order. Been trying for a month to get them to generate a new one but apparently there's only one person in their whole business that can do that. They've stopped answering my emails for more than a week now. No contact whatsoever.
Do not recommend doing business with them.

I purchased a set of overpriced cables and decided that i didn't want them. I looked for a return button and couldn't find one. I was at first very angry and thought that there was no way. I contacted customer service and kind ol' Matt saved my butt and refunded me within an hour. He was so kind with his response that I was immediately thinking of whether I should come here and rate five stars. I didn't. A week later I'm checking my email to see that Matt responded to me about a GPU backplate pretty much as soon as I had made a request! He asked me to measure my GPU and send him dimensions to see if there was a compatible backplate for my GPU even though they didn't have ones made for mine. Very kind of Matt and the Cablemod customer support. I loved everything they did for me and next time I make a major upgrade I will definitely consider buying from them.

Took 4 days for them to make and ship my order because I ordered custom cables, but overall I am very pleased with the cables I received, they look great and their support team was helpful when I messaged them about my order shipping time.

I ordered non custom sleeved cables and a led strip and did not receive any shipping info after two weeks of waiting. I then emailed them to find out what was going on and received no response so tried messaging through pay pal to try find out about my order with no response either. I finally manged to get a reply 3 weeks later after messaging via the website

I was told they could not ship my order because of the battery in the led remote control which is ridiculous

This company's customer service is unacceptable i would not recommend them at all, it was a waste of time

Holy crap what a crap company. Zero communication, looooong processing time. I'm filing a dispute with PayPal and haven't had a single response from them. Going to refuse delivery since I didn't pay all this money for a 2 week shipping time.

I bought a full cable kit form CableMod which turned out to be incompatible with my PSU.

On their website's returns and exchanges policy it says: "We want you to be fully satisfied with your CableMod purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase within 30 days of delivery, please get in touch with our support team and we will make it right."

However when I contacted them about exchanging my brand new kit, I was told that they flat out do not accept returns or exchanges under any circumstances and instead I was only offered a $6 discount on two additional cable extensions… I quoted their support policy and he didn't care. The support staff in question was fairly rude at times and was not willing to reach a compromise, he kept talking about how "generous" he was being by offering a $6 discount on two additional cables that I don't even need…

Absolutely shocking after-sales support and a completely misleading returns/exchanges policy. If they do not accept returns/exchanges then they need to say that in their policy FFS. I will never purchase from CableMod again and I strongly suggest you do not either.

Cables were split in middle of run instead of hidden in connector. Looks sloppy and amateur. The whole reason I went with a professional is to make it look nice. Their website lists a return policy that they will "make it right", but when I tried to return they refused saying they don't offer returns despite what their website says. I tried to work with their tech team, but they wouldn't even try to reach a compromise. Very disappointed overall.

Over the last 2 months, I have ordered products from Cablemod twice. Both times have been with a relative fast delivery time (about 3 days shipped to Denmark). The products were great – besides the last time, where the RGB LED Strip kit receiver was broken (the led strip worked fine, but I could not change color, due to the receiver).
I mailed the customer service and told them about the problem, and without any further questions, they send me a brand new kit from Hong Kong. About 5 days later the kit arrived to my address, and it worked totally fine.

The only reason I don't give this company 5 stars, is because they don't automatically send the track & trace informations to their customers. In both cases, I had to manually ask their customer service about the trace number, which I think is a shame.

Anyways… From my own experiences, I will highly recommend Cablemod 🙂

HORRIBLE ! This guy Matt in tech customer service led me on a wild goose chase…..trying to fix the LED lights on their RGB strips. I sent him pictures and video and he kept saying it has to me my MOB. THEN after 10 days of trying to figure out why my LED lights were not syncing the same color, i look on the review page on Amazon and another person was having the same issue…..someone mentioned…." did u install the adapter"? WHAT adapter ?

Not once in 10 days and over 20 emails with pictures did this guy MATT ask me anything about an adapter. So then i ask him to send me one because my kit did not have this so called adapter" HE REFUSES to send me one!!! He tells me they don't sell the adapters separately, that i will have to buy a whole new kit? WHAT THE HECK is that? wow
