Greg, the owner, signed his name above the word contractor on the written agreement. We were unaware that Greg鈥檚 Builders license had been revoked. We did not check the owner鈥檚 history prior to signing our agreement.
Electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work was included on our agreement and discussed in emails. Greg denied the need for permits. No permits were applied for. Permits were needed.
Demo started 5-30-17. Last date of cabinetry installation was 4-17-18. Crown molding and cabinetry hardware not installed due to condition of cabinetry installed.
Cabinetry delivered and installed was substandard. Many parts unable to install due to incorrect sizing. Some parts removed and returned in the same condition, with new issues. No improvement after many attempts of replacement. Some cabinet boxes had insufficient number or uneven number of shelving holes. Cabinetry needs to be replaced.
Greg added an additional 10.75 inch cabinet in bathroom due to his plan measurement, without notifying us. This extra length caused an unwanted seam in the countertop.
Greg did not order the hardwood flooring after payment received. Flooring was found by us to be discontinued. Greg held the money we paid for flooring and returned a partial amount 10 months later. Hardwood flooring was ordered and installed by a different company.
Greg encouraged us to purchase tile for bathrooms with company鈥檚 discount. According to The Cabinet Install Shops invoices and the tile supplier鈥檚 invoices, we did not receive a discount. Greg held our money for 12 months from order date before reconciling difference.
Greg added additional fees to work that was paid for and included on original agreement. Fees were added without notifying us prior to work being started.
Multiple issues with work done in our home caused additional delays.
Multiple emails by Greg requested a settlement agreement started April 2018. Statements inconsistent with company advertising.
Excuses and blame received for each delay and every issue we encountered.
