I bought a Verizon modem from them. Listed a completely different one then they sent me, and then when I tried to get a refund I had to pay to ship it back and they never refunded me ever. It's been months. Terrible company terrible customer service.

The unit arrived in just a few days (to NYC) and was in good condition. The "Frontier" labeled unit worked to get my Verizon FIOS service started – no questions from the tech installer. While the router still had the previous user info like device address (that I deleted), everything else was set to default.

I paid for expedited shipping and I have yet to receive the modem. The tracking number I see shows that the item was out for delivery on the 15th and today is the 19th. I reached out to BYOM on the 18th and they responded that the item was delivered on the 15th. Out for delivery and delivered are two different status. Further, you can see that the tracking bar has not reached the final position.

They sent me a modem with an underpowered power adapter that belonged to another device. I don't care about the source of the power adapter as much as I do the loss in amperage to the device. The modem also came with a paper pleading with me to attempt settling disputes with them before writing a negative review, which I did. However, they just replied with a generic reply referring to the fine print, basically stating they can send me whatever they want. I replied, and have not received a response. Well, I tried… Now I'm going to buy my own power adapter. Next time I'll stick to trusty eBay or Amazon.

Yesterday, 9/23 my bank finally credited me for the defective modem this company sent me a month ago 8/22 I returned 8/26 because (1.) It was not refurbished as they claimed but just used because they did not even do a factory reset and still had prior used account info in it (2.) It was defective and CenturyLink support could not get it work as the wifi transmittion would cease to work within 5 to 10 minutes of start up costing time and lots of frustration. (3) Company attitude is the worst ever… "too bad so send it back at your cost for refund or replacement." It has been 25 days since it was delivered back for a refund at my cost and they still did not refund the money. I had the credit card charge reversed of course at my time to complete the documentation and at my cost to send back their defective product. Never ever would I recommend this company who does not even have a phone number to call.

I hesitantly purchase this modem. Shipping was lightning fast I replaced the same modem I was leasing from Verizon. It took about 30 seconds to swap everything over and it worked flawlessly! I highly recommend this based on my experience. I have since returned my leased modem to Verizon saving me $144 per year! A very easy positive purchase.

Steer clear of these folks. I ordered a modem before learning (because it wasn't made obvious on the item page) that it was refurbished. Cancelled order immediately. Called to confirm cancellation. Actually got someone on the phone who said he'd cancel the order. Five days later got an email (after several emails sent by me to confirm the cancellation) telling me that there was a cancellation policy that I agreed to upon purchase. My bad for not reading it. I was told to visit the website. Could NOT log on. Tried to set up new account but was told that I entered the incorrect "captcha". There was NO "captcha" on the page. Thought I could try to reset a password but there was no link to reset password on the login page. Finally learned that there's a $10 cancellation fee even if the cancellation was made less than an hour after the order was placed and it was still "awaiting fulfillment". If this company put as much effort into honest marketing, product transparency and site accessibility as they did into questionable business practices they might get better reviews.

My mistake for not researching this company before making a purchase. The modem I bought was NOT listed as "refurbished" anywhere on the item page that I could see. I cancelled my order via email moments after making it then learning that it was a refurbished model. The order status was "awaiting fulfillment" when I sent the message. I also called and got a male human being who told me that he would cancel the order. I never received notice that the cancellation had been made so sent another email. I was told that by making the purchase I agreed to their cancellation policy. I tried to get onto their website to see the cancellation policy by trying to open an account (doing that produced an "incorrect captcha" message… there was NO captcha) and resetting a password (there is no "reset password" link on the sign in page). Really frustrating experience. I finally learned that there is a $10 cancellation fee… for an item awaiting fulfillment? Not the best customer service… or marketing… or accessible website… or…

I wish I could give this company zero stars, but I guess that is not an option. They are very deceptive in their marketing. They bury deep in the description of their products that the item is refurbished, all while the rest of the listing makes it seem like you are getting a new modem. Also their products are not actually refurbished, in their fine print they actually made their own definition for "refurbished" that basically says they don't have to actually do anything at all to verify the operation of the router. They actually sent me a "refurbished" router that would not even turn on. To top it all off they are extremely rude in their e-mails…worst customer service (or lack thereof) I have seen in a long time.

I received a beat up modem. Really bad shape. They advertise used modems at a discounted price but BEWARE! They sell used modems that arrive with the previous owner's information still saved in it. I returned the modem and they never issued a credit.

Buyer beware!

No telephone technical support. Only email support. Out of the box the modem was unreachable because it was presumably still configured for the customer who had this modem. The DHCP functionality was disabled. After over a week of waiting for technical support, I was able to reset the modem back to factory default. I'm not sure why that wasn't part of their "testing" procedures.

This is no Amazon…admittedly, I purchased the wrong modem. Don't bother returning anything, they will charge a "restocking" fee and return shipping is on you unless the item is defective. After multiple attempts to get an address from the email support; the only responses were "refer to the policy you accepted when you made the purchase". No address provided in any of the support emails.

The only address on their website is invalid. I attempted to send my modem back…Returned to Sender. Unless they contact me to tell me they will pay for shipping, I'm keeping the modem that I can't use so they don't have additional inventory to scam someone else.

They must curate their reviews on their site because you can't find one that isn't 5 stars. There is no link to review a purchased product even when the send you an email requesting a review. Their return policy is "Accepted" at time of purchase like any End User Licence Agreement that is presented to a user for any download. Accept it or don't buy.

I bought the model that matched the modem I was leasing from Xfinity so that I knew it would work. I made the mistake of not throughly reading the instructions that were sent and not being properly helped by Xfinity when I called them. I finally was able to get ahold of someone knowledgeable at Xfinity and we were able to connect it just fine. So glad I bought my own modem to save money. It was a slight hassle but very much worth it. Thanks guys!

I don't know why I waited so long to stop paying Comcast $14 a month to lease a modem. I bought the exact same modem which will pay for itself in 8 months. The modem works great, I followed the directions from Comcast on how to activate the modem and that was it. My only regret is I wish I would have pulled the trigger sooner I threw away $168 per year leasing my Comcast modem. If you are on the fence, don't wait buy your modem now and be free from your cable provider!

Excellent price and quick delivery. Unfortunately only the internet was compatible with WOWWAY but not the land line telephone, so I had to return it. Good return policy. Now I'm waiting for the refund.

I purchased my modem and now I do not have to lease one.
I was able to follow the easy instructions and did not have a problem installing it. I am glad I made the decision to purchase one. Thank you again
