BusyKid

Great concept, but my kids are unable to use their card at most of the places they try to. It gets denied more often then not. Places it didn't work include subway, inside gas stations, every restaurant they attempted, target, and more. It would actually be easier to name the places it has worked at because its far less; at one gas pump and starbucks. Those are the only two places we have had luck with. My kids are actually afraid to try it anywhere because it is embarrassing to them to get denied everywhere even though they have money to spend! Seriously considering canceling this card. I like it to keep track of what my kids earn and save but what's the point of a debit card they can't use hardly anywhere?

BusyKid makes it super easy to assign chores and reward kids. I love how easy it is to setup the app for kids to use, so they can learn how to manage their money!

The app is fine, could use some updates to make it easier to assign and delegate chores. I'd like it if someone marks the chore as done that it doesn't show as an option to other kids. Their credit card is also questionable, my daughter has made a few returns that haven't been returned to the card.

Great platform. I was looking for a way to reward my kids for chores in a way that also educated them on investing, saving and charity. This app does it all!

I like the app. It's easy to navigate and make changes. I was able to find codes for both my 5 year old and my 13 year old

I love this app, it has improved communication and reduced frustration with my teen and I. She loves being paid for extra chores, and doesn't forget the regular household ones. Love this as a summer tool to keep them busy!

We have only had the app for about two weeks, but so far, so good. Much more effective than chores charts that I spent hours making and keeping up with. This gives my kid some of the independence she craves, which means I nag less and she works more. Ingenious!

It is super effective. My kids learned how impotant it is to save. They manage their money pretty well. They became responsible and have been doing their chores regularly without me telling them. They feel so proud and independent when buying things using their own card. Now, they don't ask me to buy everything for them. They also learned that they have to work more to earn more.

Very strategic and smart way to teach children about responsibilities and the value of money. I like the option of charity and investing too

Great idea. But the app is not easy to use. If I read the instructions more thoroughly though, I'll probably get it figured out.

I love this app so much! It gives my 12 year old son incentive to do chores and also teaches him about saving money and donating to charity.

So far so good. I picked this app because I wanted my kids to learn about giving and investing and it had a debit card as well. I have connected it to my bank so that I don鈥檛 incur fees using a credit card and that works great. My kids are very excited to do chores and mark things off their list and be able to donate and learn about investing. They have both used their debit cards and it was awesome and they are so excited. What I would like to see is that we can connect to our own donation facility…in this case our church tp do tithing. That can be it鈥檚 own category or it can be part of donating. But now that we have donated once I can see how we can trick it out to still do this but it would still be a nice feature. Also there is a limit to how much money can be bonused daily which I found out. $150…in $50 increments. So it would be nice for that limit to be raised or set individually when I am essentially a bank and kids want to exchange their birthday cash for electronic money on their debit card. Again I can work around this but a hassle. Finally I think it would be nice to have it link to multiple bank accounts either for two divorced parents to contribute to it or for kids that have their own bank accounts for it to be linked to their accounts too. But ultimately this is working for us and we will stick with it and the kids will learn a lot from this app. So far it鈥檚 meeting all my objectives and I have tried several of these chore apps.

Would love to have savings actually go into a SAVINGS account as an option-or able to go into their 529 accounts. Only stock options for saving for a child is beyond crazy.

Would like the option to pay any day rather than just on Fridays. Other than that, it's a great teaching app.

Started BusyKid about a month ago and it has worked really well. Both my kids love the debit cards, my son to be able to spend it online for his games and my daughter in person at stores. It has made chores so much easier than trying to use spreadsheets and tracking it.

The shared account for parents could be better. As my wife has issues when trying to log in to approve or move funds. She should be able to have her email added to the account so we can apprve moves and approve paydays.
