I absolutely LOVE this boot camp. I stumbled upon it when we went to Tres Luna for dinner. I started with a 2 week trial but ended up signing up within the first 5 days. Steve, the head trainer is amazing. He truly cares about your well being. The place feels so welcoming. They also have modifications for workout if you cannot do something. I do not feel lost or left out because I cannot keep up. I feel the BURN with every workout and sweat for a change. I feel motivated to go everyday. They also offer focus meetings where they guide you on nutrition. Absolutely love this place and highly recommend it to anyone looking to get back into the game.

I never thought I'd do a boot camp-type of workout, but when I saw that Burn Boot Camp was opening a gym very near my house, offering a free 30-days trial, and after reading up about their concept, I had to give it a try.

BBC is a boutique gym that offers personal training in a group environment for women. There are sessions where men are "allowed", but most sessions are women only. The classes are 45 minutes each, broken into three periods: a warm-up to get the body energized (think jumping jacks, etc), the main exercises, and a finisher, which is NOT the cool-down/stretching period. No, the finisher gets your heart pumping before you cool down!

I like that there are many classes offered throughout the day, and each class does the same exercises of the day. So if I can't make it to my normal class time (8:30 AM), I can attend any other classes that day and still get the workout I want. No more missing my workout that day if I have a doctor's appointment! Each day, we work on different parts of the body, and no two days are the same. It is so much fun! There are people of all fitness levels in each class, and the trainers show you different ways of doing the exercises to fit your level.

Included in the membership are focus meetings where you meet with a trainer one-on-one for weekly nutrition and progress advice/checkup.

The facility is very nice, has two showers, and offers free child care.

I've been going to BBC for two weeks now. I love how nice and encouraging the trainer, assistant trainer, and staff have been. I love the community of women I've come to look forward to seeing and high-fiving after we finish each exercise.

And, yes, everyone is sore after the classes, but it's a good kind of sore because we're building a stronger body!
