I have just had my posting removed as Bulk Powders complained about my previous posting, as I referred to a competitor. I was merely trying to point out that other companies have longer shelf lives. I am now posting a new posting, minus reference to said competitor. I ordered a 2.5kg bag of waxy maize starch for my son and was sent a bag with a shelf life of only 5 months. I phoned two competitors and asked what their shelf life was for the same product, and each quoted a minimum of 12 months. I emailed Molly at Bulk Powders and asked for a refund and return label, as my son, who only goes to the gym 2x a week was unable to finish said product in the 5 month remaining. Molly emailed me back and told me that they do not offer return labels and advised that I should just carry on using the product past its shelf life. I could alternatively pay nearly 拢6 to return it myself and wait 10 days for a refund, minus the postage. (拢9 in total). I told her that I was not happy with this solution and copied the owner, Adam Rossiter, into the email. Bulk Powders offered me a 30% discount off my next purchase but since my son had bought waxy maize starch from Bulk Powders at the beginning of December 2016 with the same date stamped onto the product, I no longer wish to order from them, as I am not happy with their quality control. They did not reply to his email, but were very quick to reply to Trust Pilot when a competitor was mentioned. Molly even suggested that my husband, who buys from said competitor, should try Bulk Powders, which he found rather amusing. We thank you for your 30% discount for the next purchase but after having read the one star reviews on Trust Pilot will decline your offer and will purchase from said competitor who have very fresh products. My son was recommended Bulk Powders by his friends who recommended the company because of money off vouchers for recommendations. Sadly, this has proved to be false economy after the second order. Good luck to you all!
