Bought 3 plants recently, one of which was damaged/torn upon arrival and the other one was supposed to be a lovely mini orange tree. A scrawny green plant turned up without an orange in sight! I was told I had bought "without oranges" nowhere on the website had I seen that. After much to-ing and fro-ing and sending pictures, they gave me a 50% discount on each. That wasn't really what I wanted though; I had just wanted nice plants as a present for my daughter… Also you can only ever contact this co by email, which isn't great.

I purchased iris last year, planted them in garden. The blooms were small, but very pretty. The rhizomes were super multipliers, I'll have so many more next year!

I placed orders with 4 different online nurseries this spring and Buldsdirect had by far the poorest product and the worst customer service. Their roots are awful, small and shriveled. I soaked for proper amount of time but out of 6 hardy geranium roots only 2 grew. The bulbs I ordered were all very small and the only ones I had luck with growing were the gladiolus. I ordered an Agapanthus that came very tiny and has done absolutely NOTHING since I planted it-in a pot with premium potting soil. It has been in the pot for at least a month and it has not grown one single bit. I ordered hardy geranium roots from 2 other companies as well and theirs came huge, healthy and already sprouting. I also ordered potted plants from other companies and those are doing quite well. The only thing I tried to get Bulbsdirect to replace were the hardy geraniums and all I have gotten so far is the run around. They have no intention of honoring their guarantee so I will just say live and learn and never order from Bulbsdirect again. I wasted a lot of money with this company but they won't get any more of my money.

I placed an order in March of this year and received my order of 22 bulbs about 2 weeks later. I planted them the very next day. Mind you, I'm a Landscaper by trade so I know what I'm doing. Mid April I still didn't have any plants. I contacted the company at the end of April and haven't heard back from them. I emailed them again today and will see if the respond this time. Per their guarantee I should receive either another order or a refund. After reading the messages here I'm not sure I want another order as it might not be what I ordered. My order number was 14-010177 should they decide to respond to this message.

All bulbs I have purchased after following instructions and planting them the only one bulb gave flowers. All hostas after all instructions still the same size after growing for 2 weeks. I emailed customer service and they said the warranty was only good for one season. I ordered mid-May received in June and it's Summer, So now is the Spring season. Did not complaint last year because it was after spring so I figure I have to wait until spring to see them flower but nothing. No flowers at all, not even grown from the ground, we fertilized and sprinkler system keeps them watered. Customer service said too sad too bad. Maybe because they from another county, because here in America we have refunds on items that do not work properly. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. There are companies here in America for you to order from.

No bulbs arrived, no tracking # on bulbs, so maybe they weren't shipped in the first place???? I can't get them to issue a refund or send me bulbs, despite their assurances of a guarantee.

Customer service is horrendous. I purchased Ranunculus in white and pink, Freesia in multicolor from Bulbs Direct. Not a single one came up… I contacted Bulbs direct and they are very reticent to return my monies — in fact they never did. Bulbs Direct makes the customer jump through hoops and has only excuses blaming the customer for their bulbs not performing.
I have purchased these same bulbs from other growers and successfully planted these bulbs for years, so the excuses from Bulbs Direct are not valid. I finally gave up and took the loss of the monies I paid for theses sub-par bulbs. I will never purchase from Bulbs Direct again and would caution anyone considering purchasing bulbs from them.

They shipped only 8 daffodils in a bag of 10. I let them know and they apologized and said they'd replace the missing ones. Instead they shipped me an entire new order of daffodils with a couple extra thrown in. Free shipping, all the way from the Netherlands.

UPDATE: I moved them from 5 stars to 3. They did send me new daffodils and I appreciate it, but they were a completely different kind from what I ordered, and I didn't like them. I had hunted all over to get the ones I wanted, so it was particularly annoying. One the other hand, they were really healthy and prolific.

The light pink Angelique tulips I ordered came up (again very healthy) standard shaped, dark burgundy tulips. I have sent them pictures; we'll see what happens. Clearly they have a problem with their fulfillment department and until they solve that, they can't be relied upon. Their stock is good, though.

I made an order a month ago and never recived it. When i emailed the people they kept saysing wait paciently and i did but the order never came. A month later the they tell me i gave them a diffrrent address and i webt online to check and i admit i gave the wrong address. They said it was up to me to let them know but how was I supposed to know when none of the emails i recived had the address i sent it to? If i had seen the address in the email i would have contacted them right away. Upon saying this the lady i spoke to over the phone was very rude. She did not care about me as a custumer. I asked her what they were going to to. I did not want my money back i wanted the bulbs sent to my mother. They said that i have to wait 8 months for them to get their order sent back to them so they can resend it. If it was alive! That they were going to lose money too. I orderd a huge number of bulbs from them. When i asked to speak to the supervisor she said to call back later that i cant speak to them. How am I supposed to know when to call? I said i want to hear back right away and she said she cant do that. I am thuroughly disappointed by this company and suggest that everyone who wants to order from this company to please go somewhere else becouse they dont care about the custumer at all. I have never delt with such horrible custumer service.

Selection and price were comparative to other companies. I was satisfied and impressed with their low prices. It took some time to receive my order as I am in the United States. I wasn't aware of this and contacted bulbsdirect. They assured me my order was in route and to contact them if it hadn't reached me in a week. I had received it within a week. There seemed to be some bulbs missing, I had ordered so many, that it was hard to determine what might be missing because I had already planted them and discarded the packaging. I contacted bulbsdirect and they sent me some more bulbs for compensation within the week. They were very concerned about my satisfaction and I am very impressed with their customer service and concern of customer loyalty. I would suggest that you check you order when you receive it and keep your packaging. If I had done this I would not have been so confused as to how many bulbs I DID receive. I would order with this company again. I wish they would offer bulbs out-of-season…I would have ordered more and stored them. Great company!!

I E mailed the company regarding planting instructions on my bulb order. The instructions were on the website however wanted to verify that I understood them correctly as I am a beginner. Within a day I received a detailed well thought out e mail from Nikki. She went the extra mile in answering my questions. There are a lot of online providers that provided the same services however outstanding customer service and impeccable knowledge is what separates the good from the best. Bulbs Direct is the best. I do intense research before making a purchase. If you are the same as me save yourself a little time and buy here. You will be glad you did.

I had some complications with the timing of my order (my fault) and was VERY impressed with this company's knowledgeable, gracious, and genuinely pleasant staff. Customer service was available by both phone and email, and everything ended up working out great. I will definitely be ordering from them again!

I ordered my bulbs on 2 November, 2011. I was notified they were shipping on 4 November….they came USPS, cleared agriculture inspection & were in my hands 12 November. From Netherlands to USA this quick is amazing. I have tried other places here in the USA & unfortunately they take at least a month or better. My guess is they get the bulbs from the Netherlands after they get my order & repack them.
I am sooo looking forward to seeing the results in the Spring.
