They shipped the wrong part. Kristen in "the office of the president" could not be less helpful if she tried and is shockingly rude. Additionally she has literally no knowledge of the products they sell so she is not able to find a workable replacement. Unbelievable that any company would have her in customer service – let alone "the office of the president". Do not order from them

After looking for months on many lighting sites, I purchased two light fixtures from build.com. The website was easy to navigate and Amazon pay kicked in, so purchasing was easy. The lights arrived quickly and were of top quality. Customer service is fabulous. Thank you very much!

I ordered a door handle. Only after I checkout and pay do they announce 6 to 13 weeks lead time. In week 14, nothing arrives, they then tell me that it's gonna be another 2-4 weeks. Of course the web site stated "preparing for shipment" and they did not even send me a note to announce further delays. Leaned my lesson and I would not recommend the store.

I am in the design field and bought a shower system. It arrived damaged, which is not their fault. I have been calling them all week, been on hold for over 30 minutes, and can't reach anyone to help me get a replacement. Horrible customer service. I am writing this post in the hopes that they see it and contact me. Once this is resolved, I will take this post down.

Very poor delivery from Estes delivery. I ordered expensive cabinets for my laundry room. The delivery person was in a big hurry to leave and not wait for me to unwrap my delivery. He would not bring the cabinets to my front porch, so I had to talk to his supervisor, so horrible. Finally, he was told to bring the cabinets to my front porch. I have a handicap loading ramp, very easy. The cabinets were cheap and I noticed some damage. So, I had no recourse because the delivery man left. I will never buy from Build.com again. Poor quality and service.

After I placed an order for some simple post cap lighting, it stated I need to also purchase some adapter. After I got my product, the adapters were not needed, so I returned them. The return was not processed and I could not get them to refund my money. I did not have the adapters anymore either as they were already sent back to build.com.
Poor service and more like a "scam" to force you to buy more than you need then not even process my refund after I shipped the items back.

Placed order for item showing 412 in stock, ship in 2-3 days. Next day got back-order for 21 days, can't wait. Waited on hold over 30 minutes to try and cancel less than 24 hours after placing, was told order in process can't be cancelled. I'm calling my CC company next to stop payment. All this as I've been 30 minutes on phone hold. Horrible service!

Says free 2 day shipping, Been 3 weeks and I have contractors waiting for shower faucets. Request expedite and UPS picked up and handed over to post office where it sits because build didn't want to pay for shipping to my house. UPS warehouse is closer than the post office. They don't care. Last time for me.

We purchased an Anzzi faucet through Build. The faucet, despite the price, is very poor quality and started leaking and failed within 9 months of install. We contacted Build and they referred us to the manufacturer. When the manufacturer was totally unreachable by email or phone, we reached out to Build again and explained the issue, we bought a product through Build and could not get a response from the manufacturer. Build reiterated that they are unwilling to do anything to assist, as it had been more than 3 months since the purchase. Their total refusal to stand behind products they sell should discourage you from shopping with them.

I included a picture of the inside of our sink cabinet. It looks like this so we can limit the amount of water that gets into and behind our sink cabinet.

Ordered a few products. Got them super fast and returned super fast. A month and a half later after they received the first unused still in the box part I have not received a refund. Waiting on both. Sent an email, we'll see? Forget trying to chat or call because they do not answer and the only email so fair has been generic. Vary disappointed in what I thought would have been a top lever company with excellent service. Hope I'm not out $250?

They will not accept returns on appliances. I got roasted on Lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. No customer service here. Stay away from Builder.com

I discovered this business in July 2020, and have placed four different orders with them… for Atlas switch plates (first order), Hinkley light fixtures (second and third orders), and a Hunter ceiling fan (fourth order). Each time, the items were delivered quickly and came in perfect condition. For my second order of Hinkley lights, I even emailed them and asked for a specific lower price. They asked for my cart number, and they changed the cost of the items to what I wanted to pay.
I dealt with a guy from the company named Clay. It did take a few days to get everything situated, as I was initially talking to a representative that passed the request on to him. The short wait was worth the $90 discount, though.

I was reading the reviews before placing an order on this site, and I hesitated, I finally ordered, and my order came in 2 days with free shipping. Got an email when in shipped with a tracking number, an no problems at all.
I guess it all depends on what you order, and the other thing is unhappy people are more easily writing a bad review than happy people will write a good one

I ordered a Miseno bath tub door and was sent a Foremost door with Miseno stickers on the box. Paid premium price for a new item and got a old stock discontinued item. Spoke with build.com first lied too and told that the door was shipped by formost, then was sent up ladder and told they can rename there items and sell them 鈥?bad… bad… bad…

I ordered two bathroom vanities from the company, both had significant issues. The larger of the two, priced over $1400 (72 inch vanity) was delivered with significant paint chipped off in several areas. The company took more than three weeks to get me the paint pens to attempt to repair it. In the meantime, we had to have it installed or spend hundreds more delaying tile setters, painters, etc. The paint pen arrived but didn't fix the problem. I explained to the company that it couldn't be easily removed at that point and asked for a $500 refund to compensate (about a 28 % discount from the purchase price.) They said they wouldn't do that but would instead send an entire new unit. Again, I explained, that would be much more costly for them, and I would have to have the Italian marble tile reset to accommodate the pull-out and reinstall. They sent it anyway but when the shipper called to inform me they were close, I said they would have to get the original unit out from upstairs as I explained to Build. Com customer service. Needless to say, I haven't heard from them since and it's been over 2 months.

The other item, a 60 inch two-sink vanity arrived with one drawer damaged and the hinges broken on one drawer. Called the company to send replacements and they said they "do do that." What? No other options. Crazy.

Not only are this companies products sketchy and can be of extremely poor quality, their customer service is atrocious. The $2350 we spent on vanities with the company turned out to be a waste of money (money that we certainly don't have to just say, "oh well" and move on.

With so many companies to choose from, I recommend you tick this one off you list… for anything.

Order held at first – had to call and wait on phone for over 1 hr just to order. Now its "backordered" even though website says 121 on hand. Was supposed to ship 7/30 and have not heard a word. Have now been on hold for 55 minutes waiting, just to get a status update. Ridiculous. Would give zero stars if possible.

It is so true, you get what you pay for… Even though Build.com offered the cheapest price [email protected]$1+/sq ft for the tile I ordered, the whole purchase & delivery experience was horrible & delayed my project. I received multiple erroneous delivery statuses pushing out the delivery date. It was IMPOSSIBLE to get through to speak with anyone to get clarity. When my order was finally delivered after 18 days, 6 boxes of large porcelain tile were [email protected] feet away from my front door on the sidewalk! The delivery guy ignored me & left when I called out to him when I saw what was happening. Unbelievable! Next time I'll just order from another store & try to get a price match or just pay more for better service! It is NOT worth the stress… Thank God I received the right product after this experience…

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST SERVICE!
Long wait times to be connected! (Ive waited as long as 45 mins+ NUMEROUS TIMES)!
Reps that refuse to follow up after offering you their extension for faster support!
Returns are a cluster F* of wasted time and money!
Still awaiting a refund that was first issued as a credit on my Build account vs. the credit from which it was purchased as I carefully instructed!
The overall experience with this online retailer is sub-par to say the least!
COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME & MONEY!

One of the items I ordered arrived broken and it was impossible to get in touch with anyone at customer service either by phone, email or live chat. I cannot understand how they can still be in business. I will never use them again.

Build.com charged my credit card thru Amazon within 12 hours immediately after I ordered a shower faucet. 72 hours later, I still have not received an email confirmation of my order. I am going to contact my credit card to not process the payment.
Stay away and run from this business. It is a fraud.

One of the worst customer service experiences ever.
They are unreachable by phone (more than 1 hour on hold on 2 occasions) and unresponsive to email.
They routinely do this Catch-22 thing where they demand you call them *right away* or your order will be cancelled and then they just don't pick up the phone.
Go elsewhere.

I was looking for a particular dishwasher, which I found on Build.com. They showed they had 7 in stock, so I placed an order. A few hours later I get an email saying my order is on hold, and that I need to call them. I call, and proceed to wait 20 minutes to get an operator. Finally, I try chat, and after 10 minutes or so, get through. Explain my issue, she looks it up, and says, "Oh yeah, it was placed on hold because it's such a large order." The dishwasher was $449.00, that's a large order? After about 10 minutes back and forth, she says I'm all set, and that she has set the delivery date for the following week. Two days later, I get an email saying my order is back ordered until September! Obviously, they never had 7 to begin with, or sold them to someone else after I ordered. Of course, the fact that they couldn't fulfill my order didn't mean they had cancelled it, only that they expected me to wait 2 months to get it. Back online, get in line for Chat, and tell them I want the order cancelled. The rep says no problem, we'll let you know in a few days if the order has been cancelled, and then issue a refund. So now I have to wait to see if they're actually going to cancel an order they can't fulfill, while they have my money in their account! REALLY shady!
