Budgetcity

As other reviewers have pointed out, this company exists only to scam people who are already struggling with poor credit ratings by charging them almost 拢30 for a supposed service they have no knowledge of and would never knowingly have signed up for. The fact they do not provide acknowledgement of a customer鈥檚 supposed subscription or log-in details until that customer has repeatedly complained about his or her bank account being robbed tells you all you need to know about them. Budgetcity does not answer its phones (ostensibly on account of COVID-19 measures – how convenient for them not to have to take accountability for their abhorrent actions) and my emails to the company were into double figures before I got a reply, only to tell me that I wouldn鈥檛 be getting a refund because I had signed up to their service. That鈥檚 despite every one of my emails informing them that I did not, and if I had done it was a little odd they hadn鈥檛 sent me anything as basic as a welcome email or log-in details. Anyway, I have reported Budgetcity to the Financial Ombudsman and will use my journalistic connections to expose them for the frauds they are to limit the number of vulnerable people they rob. It鈥檚 rather pointless reviewing them here because the chances are that if you鈥檙e reading about them, it鈥檚 only because you wondered who it was that had plundered your bank account without your permission. They鈥檒l get their comeuppance eventually.

If I could rate them zero stars then I would. Tried to take money out of my account today when I have literally never heard of the company nor have an account with them. Absolutely disgusting how these companies think they can take the p!ss.

Never signed up to the service nor did I receive any welcome emails even if I did. 拢28.99 taken from account and only offered half back. Escalated to complaints who emailed me with a different persons name further indicating fraudulent activity.

Do not ever use this is a scam!!

Scamming company, have a link somewhere in small print during a loan application, basically authorising debit of 拢28 after a 5 day free trial. Nothing obvious to you that you have agreed, and never get any email from them to say any trial has been set up so you don't know to cancel it. When asked they can't provide details of the page you authorised any payment. Will only offer 50% refund – Absolute scammers and they know it.

Sadly by the time U realise and have read these reviews they have already took your money and signed you up to a subscription just got off phone to the bank to report them for fraudulently taking money, basically unknowingly if U have applied for a loan recently somewhere U have actually given consent to that Loan company to sell your details on which they have and then signed U up to a subscription looking at there website I can鈥檛 even tell what I would get for the 28.99 a month let alone knowingly sign up bank as now blocked payments but still imagine how many people have fell for this even just getting 1 months payment of how ever many people someone is probably living a very comfortable life conning others I hope there ready for my call

RUDE STAFF on the phone line – scammers – take money without authorisation and claim that there was agreement.

Please avoid. Companies like this should never exist.

Applied for credit which was declined they have passed my details on to this company, don鈥檛 have a clue who they are, took 拢28.89 out of my account saying I had a 3 day trial now need to pay 拢28.89 even though no idea who they are, scammers prying on vulnerable people, made me overdrawn and then you have to ring a premium rate number to try and get it cancelled and a refund, sent them emails and they don鈥檛 respond. Complained to financial ombudsman they are scammers avoid at all costs
