This company should be avoided. They have not fulfilled their obligation by law to refund tickets purchased or give vouchers for flights cancelled due to COVID. They have no phone number to contact and they give an automatic reply to emails.

We booked our flights with them. Due to the COVID situation the flights have been cancelled. The airline reembursed the money back to them, but they are holding our money and not replying any emails.
I will never use it again.

My flight was canceled, a I am glad they at least emailed me asap. However for the money situation I bought insurance if event was to happen like this. Sadly I am trying to get my refund, I have bought insurance on my flight and I am asking for a refund or a credit something I can use. I called them and they unplugged everything off the hook. Will I get my refund or credit back will be the question?

The new waiver policy for existing bookings applies worldwide for tickets purchased before 5 March with a travel date up to 30 April 2020. Passengers can rebook to a new date up to 31 December 2020 without any rebooking fee 鈥?regardless of condition of the original booking fare purchased. The webpages of the individual Lufthansa Group airlines offer a comfortable way for self-service rebookings. If you hold a Light Fare, please contact our Service Center."

Arrived late at airport through no fault of my own. All the way there was trying to reach their so-called 鈥榰rgent phoneline鈥? They never picked up once during four stretches of twenty minutes of waiting while handling my agitated family. Of course, airport staff wouldn鈥檛 change the booking without talking to the agent. The company eventually replied (by email – still haven鈥檛 been able to speak to anyone): they refuse any refund, even partial, arguing that it was my fault their 鈥榰rgent phoneline鈥?hadn鈥檛 picked up. Yes you see, apparently calling the 鈥檜rgent phoneline鈥?is a bad idea because it gets busy – verbatim! Here鈥檚 a smart idea: if people will have to wait – while incurring expensive IDD charges – give them an estimated wait time. Duh!

The most bad faith customer service experience I have ever had.

EDIT: budgetair has just responded "our emergency line can get quite busy at times" (yeah, sorry for calling the emergency line in an emergency, I know, very silly of me right!) and "we value customer feedback such as this" (what I would value is getting fair compensation!)

EDIT: I got an email from budgetair. Clearly they are slightly embarrassed by their own inability to run a functioning customer service infrastructure, and would rather take the conversation offline. Ain't gonna happen chums! If you take my money, expect at least some payback

EDIT: the latest response from budgetair is to ask the airline for compensation. This is comedy. I can see the conversation now! "Hi ETIHAD, can you please reimburse me because budgetair don't have a functioning phone system? What? No it's not a joke! This is in fact a suggestion from budgetair! Oh!!! You mean THEY are a joke. OK!"

Straightforward reservation process. Noticed, however, that at the end, I paid some EUR 20. more than the fare advertised. Did not even look into it since the final fare was commensurate with that of other travel sites.
