Btwifi

I had read some really bad reviews about the 30 day BT wifi package.
My wife thought it must just be people living in rural areas, who were struggling to get decent BT internet.
I live in a city and thought the signal would be good. How wrong I was!
Forget that Netflix would not stream, I really struggled even to use doing emails. Emails were really slow to load and to send.
It felt like internet from over 10 years ago!
I am really annoyed and disappointed. 拢39 wasted.
I have just bought a rolling contract Dongle from Vodafone and that is working really well.
I would like to to find a way to get my money back for the 30 day package.
I hate to be that negative review person but the quality of the BT wifi on the 30 day subscription was so poor, that it almost felt like a scam.

Worst service I鈥檝e ever experienced

I don鈥檛 understand how this company is still going, yes when service is delivered it鈥檚 probably ideal but my WiFi should of been activated 2 weeks ago from today and no service or WiFi has been activated, engineers have cancelled twice coming to my address to fix it, a phone call wasn鈥檛 even made saying they weren鈥檛 coming, it鈥檚 dreadful then when I call up their helpline they say 鈥渋t鈥檒l be on tomorrow鈥?everyday for the past 2 weeks, some of the customer service team didn鈥檛 even make any sense of what the issue was, muddling you their words, saying it鈥檒l work tomorrow and it never did.

BT Fon. How is this not illegal? Was able to get online for weeks then it starting to slow down to a crawl, unuseable. After that I wan't able to log in at all. I had aready paid another 拢39 sadly. Whatever you do, don't invest a penny in BT Fon. I bought a 4G Mobile wifi from Three. They were awesome!

Action must be taken to stop BTwifi with fon invading everyones life without permission. I have a home network operating with The Post Office using a very old but extremely reliable Acer Windows XP computer. I am self isolating and over 70 but have enjoyed up to now excellent online services. Unfortunately due to lock down a number of local families have installed BT home hubs and although this provides a far weaker connection to the internet I am unable to stop my computer connecting to it and it is now unusable. I have tried to complain to BT but they just do not reply. A Disgrace

Really really bad. Bought a pass then the next day tried to sign in but it said I had to create a new account. Did this but now can't log in from either of my account details. Sometimes let's me in sometimes it doesn't but when it does let me in it goes off literally every few minutes so I have to keep trying to sign in. Waste of time and money.

It鈥檚 a scam, as soon as you pay for more than one day it doesn鈥檛 work anymore! Customer service doesn鈥檛 exist! I don鈥檛 know how the police didn鈥檛 investigate yet, it鈥檚 a SCAM! Plenty of proof online! Stay away

BT Fon is beyond shocking. I signed up for a month (GBP39) while in the UK and in need of a decent WiFi connection at my daughter's house during the COVID emergency. It's an absolute joke. It drops maybe every ten minutes, so you have to re-sign on. It would be slightly more bearable if the signon parameters were remembered but no, they're not. A truly shockingly bad service that quite frankly needs a US-type class action law suit against it. It really is that bad.

Very poor, drops out all the time, repeatedly have to reconnect. I downloaded the app thinking it would help connect more quickly but it doesn't and seems fairly pointless except to show me where the nearest hot-spot is. I probably could have got that from a Google search anyway. It doesn't seem possible to connect using the app.

Absolutely awful. A criminal deception This must be the worst wi fi service on the planet at one of the highest prices. Difficult to log on . ( often impossible ) , very slow speed . frequent disconnects. No customer service . Outrageous fraud.

Terrible service. I've been constantly disconnecting from my wifi every 10 minutes. The support team constantly lie over the phone and make up false stories of "a technician did drive out to you but you weren't home", "I was home and there's no sign of this technician arriving on my CCTV explain that one?" The advisor then laughed and hung up as she was embarrassed at being caught out lying. DO NOT USE BT WIFI, THEY ARE LYING SCAMMERS!

there wifi is slow and overpriced its ok if you use wifi to order your shopping once a week and you can watch youtube and just about handle a twitch stream. i am guaranteed 40 download but most of the time i get 0.7 download speed so they are breaking terms of contract. when you ring them they claim they can fix your problem which is just a lie. they talk loads of charge 35 pound for ''40 download speed'' it cant handle 2 people on at the same time and they overall just take the because they know i cant get virgin so they can charge what they like as sky and other companys are just the same as bt FULL OF AND SCAMMING PEOPLE

I moved from EE to BT mobile, thinking I would get the same good quality mobile calls at home ( our mobile signal is rubbish from all providers). Calls drop out, connection to wi fi frequently lost from phone. When I phoned to complain a person with no technical ability tried to fob me off with pathetic excuses. When I threatened to go back to EE she just said OK you need to fill in a form and we'll cancel your contract. No effort whatsoever to retain my custom.

Back in february 2019 i arranged bt wifi to be installed in my brothers house – after a few calls to bt and discussions with bt call representative – who stayed i would be able to pick up bt wifi 200mtrs from the property – this turned out to be blatent untruth – several calls later to bt has resulted in no attempt to resolve my wifi coverage within the property

I use BT Wi-fi with FON the speed on YouTube videos has been okay but every time I put my phone down the Wi-fi connection is lost so when I do unlock my phone I get a backlog of stuff coming through. What鈥檚 that all about. Today Saturday morning I can鈥檛 catch the signal at all. You would think an old wealthy company like BT would be up to scratch with their technology to keep people happy and connected. Far from it. I will try it for a week or two and maybe cancel it. So far not very happy.

I needed to get wifi access while out and about and BT kept popping up asking for 拢4 for an hour's wifi. I tried three times to get hooked up to it, but each time it failed to take my payment, or sent me back through a frustrating loop.
They really are just rubbish. Doubt they'll care coz they'll still make billions in profit.
