I recently was called by Ian from Brit Finance offering me a loan. He approved me for the amount I requested and Ian said before the money would be deposited I would have to make a direct payment of 拢100 to his company to cover the insurance/PPI. He stated on the phone (and I also have an email to prove this) that once 'he' received the money, Brit Finance would deposit the loan request directly into my bank within 40 minutes. Ian called me back to confirm that the 拢100 was received and he would call me within 40 minutes to confirm the deposit. I received a phone call within the time scale by another of his colleagues who said that before the money was deposited I would have to give BritFinance another 拢300 for taxes. This raised alarms and I requested not to continue with the loan application and I wanted to speak with Ian. His colleague told me Ian was unavailable. I called 10 minutes later and when the phone was picked up there was nothing but Asian Indian music playing in the background, then a person spoke and put me through to Ian. I explained to him that another 拢300 was out of the question and I did not want to persue this loan application and wanted my 拢100 pound returned as this was paid as insurance on monies I will never receive. He became very irrate and told me 'no' he would not be refunding me. I explained to him that the money was fraudulently kept as there was no money received so why was any insurance needed? He started shouting at me and said he was keeping this money no matter what. I m now persuing a claim against him as I have emails demonstrating fraud as he did not keep to his word. I recommend to anyone if you receive any phone calls from callers with Pakistani accents offering you loans to 'just hang up your phone and stay away from these fraudsters. The callers number is 01224600049, and are from Scotland and they speak with Pakistani accents and are also well renowned in the US for fraudulent activity trying to deceive Americans with late IRS payments.

I got "approved" for a loan. I've been shopping around and so wasn't that wary, though I was pretty sure I hadn't applied to this company.
One minute I didn't need a guarantor and then I did. Then I was instructed to cash out 拢100 in insurance. The man on the phone (who went by the name Peter Johnson) insisted he wait on the phone wjilst I obtained the PAYSAFE receipt that was apparently needed. I don't have much experience with this sort of thing and so was grateful when the lady at the shop set me straight upon enquiry.
I immediately hung up the phone. I was called several more times but I screened the call. Yesterday, so the day after, I received a call to which I made it clear I knew what he was up to. I wouldn't be paying anything and that's the end. Very venemously, Peter (assuming that's his real name) informed me that he would be going on to blacklist me as so that I can't get credit in the next decade or so. A scare tactic often used by scammers apparently.

Bottom line: How can you pay out for a loan?
Creditors will NEVER ask for an up-front payment.
Loan companies WILL NOT call you first.
Peter Johnson (and the rest) can go get knotted.

They approved my loan within an hour but sadly began to ask for extra costs i.e to pay 拢225 in tax before they can deposit the loan after l had paid another 拢100 for PPI in their account we they then claimed they would not refund.
