Informed Mobility

As this is a .co.uk website I assumed it was a UK company but I ordered a pair of Ariat boots from them, and a while later a pair of Jack Wolfskin boots arrived from China. They charged more than the advertised price because of exchange rates. I emailed to complain that they鈥檇 sent the wrong boots, and after 4 emails I got a reply asking me to send a photo of the ones they鈥檇 sent and if they agreed that had made a mistake they would give me a partial refund!

I replied with photos asking them to send the right boots or a complete refund and saying I鈥檇 return the wrong ones. They admitted their mistake but asked me to keep the wrong boots and accept a 20% refund, to save the hassle and expense of returning them.

The Ariat boots I ordered were waterproof. I had no idea if the Jack Wolfskin鈥檚 were waterproof or what their value was. In trying to find out, I contacted the Jack Wolfskin company, and it transpired that the boots were fakes and not theirs at all. I passed all the details on to them and hope that their lawyers will deal with it. Meanwhile I鈥檝e had no refund and I鈥檓 stuck with a pair of fake boots.

Don鈥檛 touch this company with a barge pole.
