Ordered a guitar with next day delivery. After 4 days of hearing nothing (contact number doesn't work and emails were ignored) I managed to get them on Facebook Messenger. I was assured it would arrive the next day, it arrived a day later. It was the wrong model (a cheaper version). After more correspondence on Messenger, they arranged to swap the guitars. The right model came two days later: shipped without the gig bag it was supposed to come with and with clear damage to the body.
Again, Unused Messenger to contact them, after an hour with no response, I managed to track a contact number to a distribution company called PM Components (look them up if you have difficulty) where a woman – who was friendly enough- arranged to have the guitar collected and a refund arranged. All in all, 10 days of messing about, terrible customer service and no guitar. Never again.

Buying from Guitar Sound has to rank as one of the best buying experiences I've ever had. The shop has a friendly vibe, with helpful, eager to please shop assistants. I was after a specific guitar, a model thin on the ground in the UK, and Carl went out of his way to track one down for me. I'll probably not be buying another guitar in the near future, but if I did, I would head straight to Guitar Sound and nowhere else.

I went to trade in an old guitar for a more suitable new one. Carl was really helpful, with lots of advice to offer. At no point was there any hard sell, or pressure to buy. I spent about an hour and Carl helped me try lots of different guitars, till I found "the one" to take home. Thanks to Carl's advice and help I am very satisfied with my new purchase.

Staff knowledgeable and friendly, so helpful with helping me choose my guitar and giving me advice on how to care for my acoustic! Would absolutely recommend this shop (and actually have done so!) to anyone, and will definitely be back!!!

Went into the shop earlier today to buy my boyfriend a ukulele for his birthday. Staff were a great help and very knowledgeable, were able to try as many models as he liked and the acoustic room is beautiful. Fantastic selection of guitars and ukuleles and came away with a beautiful one that the bf is absolutely chuffed with! Thank you Guitarsound!

I bought a bass amp for my son but unfortunately came with a European two-pin power cord. A quick e-mail to guitarsound.co.uk and a rapid response from Carl promising a UK power cord would be posted to me. Delivery of both amp and replacement cord were excellent. Customer service form Carl and the shop was excellent and I will shop with them again. Highly recommended.

I searched high and low for a new acoustic guitar. I went to many guitar shops in the south and played dozens of guitars. I received some good advice from Carl and despite wandering into the shop to buy a Martin, I came away with a Guild. The guitar is a beautiful instrument and I am delighted with it. No sales pressure, plenty of time to play the instruments and decent advice. Don't leave without playing a Guild. Also, check out the local luthier (Dave) – he set up my old (22 years) Seagull S6 and it play's better than it has ever done!

Guitar sound is a guitar shop that I had told my friends many times was needed in Chichester, a friendly, laid back atmosphere, for everyone, from budding musicians to professionals! All feel welcome. I have gone there for guitar strings, guitar restringings, straps and most recently a new guitar! I went in with a rough budget and a few guitars I wanted to try. The owner of the shop found the guitars I wanted to try, but also asked me what styles I would be using the guitar for, and made a few suggestions. He patiently waited as I tried many guitars, when I finally found the right one (which had actually been suggested)I I fell in love with it and we discussed prices. Afterwards he advised me for the best case and sorted out the warranty and I was away! I haven't put down the guitar since and am thoroughly happy with my purchase! Never had I enjoyed playing a guitar so much in 8 years of playing, so advice was spot on. An all round pleasant experience that I would recommend to anyone!

I recently bought a high end LTD from Guitar Sound after trying various guitars over a couple of months. No sales pressure and honest option of the products. Can't fault price or service in any way. I have been using the store for odds and sods, strings, picks, cables etc since it opened and am happy to report the same highest standard of customer service applies when spending a few pounds. An old school, in the best possible sense, music store, where musicians feel comfortable, meet other musicians and talk things over without feeling pressurised to reach for the wallet. An excellent range of products suiting novice to pro, and you will be treated with the highest customer service whether you've played for 10 weeks or 10 years. Five stars.

I was after a Fender Cabronita and tried all the local shops I have used in the past but got no joy and no help. Phoned Guitar Sound in Chichester, who informed me they didn't have one in stock but rather than say that's all they could do, they then proceeded to check fender distribution, ordered one for me, let me know when it was in and when I came and tried it gave me an honest and reasonable part exchange. I love the guitar and I love Guitar Sound. An old fashioned (in a good way) honest, human shop!

Having visited the shop on holiday I knew this was the sort of guitar shop and people I wanted to spend my money with. Got home and got in touch via the website and after plenty of emails back and forth I decided to go for a Taylor GS mini. The guys got it delivered to work for me in no time at all too. Amazingly helpful and second to none customer service, it was just like chatting with your mates. Looking forward to having more money to spend in the shop! If your local you've got to go and check it out and if not the website is spot on. If only all shopping experiences were like this!

The sites has a great variety of instruments and free delivery (only if order is greater than 拢99). I am very satisfied with customer service and help with trying electric guitar.

Exactly what you want in a shop! Friendly staff, a good selection of stock and reasonably priced. As a complete newbie to buying a guitar I needed all the help I could get and the guys at Guitar Sound spent time with me helping me choose a guitar that I am really pleased with. Will definitely be going back there!

I bought a brand new Taylor acoustic there a few weeks back and the time spent deciding was just brilliant. Cracking staff with an awesome attitude and love of music, friendly, solid advice and a cool, relaxed atmosphere which only makes you want to stay longer!
I'm so glad guitar sound came to Chichester, it gives musicians and aspiring musicians alike a great opportunity to make quality purchases and have a great experience whilst making them!

i honestly cannot praise the staff at guitar sound enough. not only are they knowledgeable, they are friendly and dont believe in pressuring you into buying the first thing you pick up!. i recently purchased a tc electronics pedal from them and it was due to their sound advice that i now sound like a rock god without actually being that good. i could have taken a higher or lower priced pedal but the solid advice and info received that day allowed me to make the right choice, not the flashy one. thank you guitar sound for just existing in our little corner of the world, without you we would be stuck with lesser stores or even ebay!

Popped in with my son as he recommended it to me. Was surprised by the great range of stock they have. The staff were friendly, helpful and knew their stuff – and not at all pushy! I have since bought many items from here and would most certainly recommend this place to anyone!

As a moderate player looking for a new guitar got excellent advice and a no pressure attitude good to see a company more interested with customer satisfaction rather than a sale all future purchases will come from here.

Great to see a decent new guitar store in Chichester. A refreshingly friendly, 'no-attitude' approach for buying, or in my case, mostly advice! Interesting range of stock too; check them out if you are in town.

i have tried out many guitars in this shop, the friendly staff give you their full attention and are very knowledgable on not only their own stock but most makes and models. great on site luthier that not only sets up and works on stock and customers guitars but also builds fantastic solid body guitars that are up for sale in the shop.
also, great coffee!
