I ordered a lovely butlers hamper for my friends birthday. I'm very happy with the service as the present was delivered within 36 hrs. My friends was delighted with it. I've seen some bad reviews here but personally my experience was perfect.

Family Easter Extravaganza but there was only one Easter egg in the box instead of 2 and a bar missing, as per the description on the website, Matthew from customer service had an awful attitude, didn't even apologise, refused refund for missing items, promised to send box of Butlers chocolates as replacement on 9th April, 8th May still hasn't arrived, he claims its with courier but won't give me courier name or tracking number!
Please use Gifts.ie instead, far superior, reliable service with excellent customer service!

Dreadful service. Ordered hamper for my daughter on 24th April after checking with them regarding delivery time. Still not arrived and now being told they cannot confirm delivery date due to Covid19, even though I checked this out with them last week BEFORE I ordered. Will NEVER use them again. Worst service I have ever used.

Under no circumstances should you order from this amateur cowboy company.
I ordered the gift as a birthday surprise for a good friend.
Prior to placing my order I was informed by Conor – one of their operatives – that all orders are delivered between 1 – 3 days. Delivery actually took 8 days.
I ordered the cheese and wine gift hamper for 鈧?7.50. The wines delivered were not the wines advertised. I calculated the retail value of the order delivered to be circa 鈧?5. But it cost me 鈧?7.50.
The day before the 鈥榞ift鈥?actually arrived the delivery guy called to the delivery address but did not know what he was meant to deliver!!! Naturally the intended recipient of the gift could not help him as it was a surprise.So he went away promising to return with the gift later that day. He did not return. So the whole surprise element for the person for whom the g鈥檊ift鈥?was intended for was lost. So in a nutshell, rip-off product, and beyond amateur service.

DO NOT USE!!! DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Some of the items I ordered were not delivered despite being assured that all items would be delivered together when I called beforehand. I called the company asking for a refund as the items should be delivered together and delivering balloons a week after the gift makes no sense. The lady on the phone was extremely rude and said I should be grateful to get anything. She then refused to give me her name when asked and disconnected the call on me.

I placed an order Friday morning for flowers for my Mam to be delivered Mother's day, as it stated on the page "order before 12 for Guaranteed Delivery on Mother's day. I placed my order a total of 鈧?0.00 for the flowers, and chose the only option I could see at the time of 鈧?.95 for delivery which was fine, I then received an email advising me delivery would be Monday the 23rd meaning my mam would not receive the flowers for Mother's day. I rang Gift Direct straight away and got through to a male on the phone who advised I had chose Co Dublin Rather than Dublin 10 so that's why the same day delivery never showed and that I would need to pay an extra 鈧?.00 if I wanted them delivered in time. I obviously paid the extra 鈧?.00. I checked my bank account to see he had taken 鈧?.16 instead of 鈧?.00 !! The Flowers I picked came to a total 鈧?0.00 and delivery basically cost me over 鈧?3.00 which was robbery, the tracking doesn't work either. I phoned Friday at 16:30pm to get an update as to when they would be delivered and got through to a lovely lady Olwyn who was very helpful and advised if it wasn't delivered Friday that it would definitely be first thing Saturday morning, I explained I had paid extra for same day delivery as I was informed they didn't deliver weekends so Olwyn said if they weren't delivered to phone Monday and they would refund me the delivery fee.

They got delivered Friday at 7pm and to be honest it certainly was not worth 鈧?3.00. I usually buy and deliver flowers to my Mam myself but due to the corona virus I said I would be safe and get them delivered. I certainly won't be ordering from this site again. I Should of read the reviews here before ordering as everyone else seems to have had some sort of an issue with you also.

Update 23.04.2020 – Many thanks for your reply Olwyn. I received my refund and I am very grateful for your help, You were extremely helpful during all of this!! My mam received her chocolates this morning and all I can say is wow!! Presented in a lovely black box full of Butlers Chocolates, she was delighted. I understand the mix up and with everything going on at the moment it can鈥檛 be easy. I will reconsider ordering from here again as you have been a pleasure to deal with and they are lucky to have you working for them. Great customer service. 5 star

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! Save your time, energy and money. Go elsewhere. When I found out that GiftsDirect failed to deliver my Christmas order to Ireland, I had to chase them up several times in January only to find out that the order was damaged before delivery. Even though this was their fault, when I asked for a refund, they refused to pay for the cost of shipping because they "still have to pay the couriers". They have ignored my subsequent email requesting a full refund. It was all in all a terrible experience. Rude staff, poor customer service, undelivered gift and they still expect me to cover the cost of shipping even though my gift was never delivered. ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS.

I ordered and paid for xmas hamper to be sent to Australia on Sunday 15th December 2019. I was given a track number DHL. on checking this track number – nothing! I rang DHL and they had no record of hamper being collected for delivery. I then rang Gifts Direct and they could not help!! So I took chance and reordered same with Gifts direct
4 days later and on checking the new track number DHL. NOTHING collected again – same old – story. I have hence spoke with the Manager for a full refund into my bank account today 20th December 2019 which he has assured me it will go in!!
WATCH THIS SPACE and never buy anything from Gifts Direct

We ordered Irish Aran sweaters for Christmas gifts. The order was placed on November 22.Today is December 9 and still no sweaters have been delivered.
We order 2 additional Irish Aran sweaters from Amazon on December 5 and they were delivered December 7, and free shipping. They were identical sweaters and identical pricing.

Rude and I had a horrible experience of communication with them!
Do you know why my review on Google on Irish site is first and as of today is the only one there? Because this company was trying to remove my feedback by changing their address on Google! They claimed that "something is wrong with eirecode" which was just an excuse. You can find my communication with them on Facebook, but don't go to Feefo reviews, go to the live reviews to see how rude they can be. They just argue with you saying that their rating was good. What is there for me? How their rating is going to fix the problem they created? No apologies for removing my review and no apologies for their horrible service! Their delivery missed a very important event even if we made an order far in advance, they didn't reply when we tried to contact them! We nearly cried because it was an anniversary and we were preparing for it for a few months … and after all there was no apologies, even on Facebook! It looks like Google reviews is the best way to deal with them.

I won't go near them again and would not recommend to anyone.

I would never ever purchase from them again. Delivery was not as fast as they promise. Next day delivery was actually 2-days after my order was accepted. No customer service at all. They ignore you when you are trying to contact them. Also they sent fresh fruit by post, so you can imagine how they looked like after 2 days. The worse thing is that if you are not at home they won't contact you. They put avizo in to your letterbox. And now it's your responsibility to go to main post to collect your package…So if you think you will make a surprise to someone, forget about it. I had to tell my sister about the package, because she had to collect a surprise I ordered for her…Very poor delivery service and customer service.

This company has a dreadful delivery 麓service麓. Considering the whopping amount that you pay for delivery – over 鈧?0 PER GIFT, not for the complete purchase – this is one of the worst delivery 'services' that I have come across. I bought two, expensive, gifts and so had to pay over 鈧?0 for just delivery, 鈧?0 per gift. As if the products aren't expensive enough as it is. Ridiculous. And I was buying from Dublin and having it sent to elswhere in Dublin. It's not as if I was sending it down the country or abroad.

Even though I ordered the day before, around 6pm, I was informed that I would have to pay the 'same day' delivery costs if I wanted my friend to receive it the next day. As it was my friends birthday, I decided to pay this anyway, as I wanted to ensure that my friend would receive the gift on time for her birthday. For that price, you'd expect that your expensive purchase would arrive there in good time for a special day. By midday, it hadn't even shown up on their so-called 'tracking' system. In fact, it NEVER showed up on their 'tracking system'. Even now it shows as an 'error'. Ridiculous. However, I have been informed by the company that it arrived at 4.10pm. I can't confirm this as of yet, because, of course, my friend by then had left her home to celebrate her birthday with family. And now, either way, if is actually has been delivered very late, she won't recieve it until AFTER her birthday. Well done gifts direct Thanks for your 'service'. What a useless delivery service. What a waste of money paying your delivery costs. They obviously only do one delivery a day, with the result that those who booked the previous day and pay their whopping 'same day' fee, end up having their gifts delivered very late the next day, almost 24 hours after I ordered it. Shouldn't there be deliveries throughout the day like most companies or at least two a day, not one in the middle of the day?? The reason people send online gifts to their loved ones is so that people will recieve them on their special day, and as most people will go out for their special day, these gifts should be delieverd early morning. And if you want to look professional, I suggest you take off the 'tracking' system or make sure it works.

Won't be shopping here again.

Over a month ago I ordered and paid for a bottle of M贸et, chocolates and flowers for a friend鈥檚 birthday in September. Concerned about the reviews I contacted their customer service, they were very pleasant and assured me they would be delivered on the date requested. The day before her birthday I received a despatch notification (by this time I鈥檇 forgotten all about it) on her birthday she received all three in one delivery. I cannot speak for last minute orders, but if you have a memory like mine and you would like to make someone鈥檚 day really special (without any form of stress) this is the company you can trust to do it; they were brilliant (so were the flowers).

I placed an order with GiftsDirect on the 19th of December to be delivered to my son and daughter in law in the USA. I received an email saying that I would receive a tracking number as soon as the order was shipped. When I didn鈥檛 hear back from them by the 24th of December, I phoned their offices and got a message saying their offices were closed until the 29th of December.

I sent a message to them via FaceBook and the following is the response I received:

鈥淯nfortunately the 18th December was our last date for guaranteed pre Christmas delivery to the USA as per our website. Please don't hesitate to call our customer service team on the 29th December if you would like to discuss the matter in more detail.鈥?br />

I didn鈥檛 see any notification re latest dates for shipping on their website when I placed the order. My order was taken and confirmed along with my payment of 鈧?29.94.

Because of GiftsDirect and their deplorable customer, my son and daughter in law were left without their Christmas gift and our Christmas was spoiled. I wouldn鈥檛 recommend this company to my worse enemy.

I live in Ireland with friends and family in the UK. I love this site for it's product range and it covers both Ireland and the UK. Can be a bit expensive but worth it…

Bought an 'experience gift' for my fiancee to do a studio recording and I must say the customer service I got at Giftsdirect was excellent.
